I downloaded beeper mini today and did not need to sign in with my apple id to make it work. All I was required to do was sign up using my phone number. There is the option to sign in with your apple id as well, but this is if you have an iPad or mac and want to use your apple ID to send and receive imessages as well. Overall Beeper Mini is solid and works as advertised. Blue bubbles for android.
Could I also use an old iphone as well to send and receive messages if I signed in with an apple id?

Did not work for me . When I download the app and try to get the free trial or pay it opens up a screen that says I need to fill out a form and the form goes directly to Google help screen.
I like the UI more than Beeper Cloud. Looking forward to seeing more chats integrated and for SMS/RCS. Hopefully they also introduce more app customization too

Look at the food choices for example, we have food from all over the world. We are so culturally rich because of immigrants. If we could get rid of all the racists and embraced our immigrant identity we would be the best country on earth.
My biggest concern was full quality pics and videos. This app definitely delivered. Its not bad at all.
You cannot send text to android via WiFi only on cellular it sucks
Should fix the audio mix. Voice over is super super quiet vs the intro music and the rest of YT
As a recovering iPhone user, Beeper Mini is awesome and keeps me well connected. This program's existence may help Apple in it's ongoing antitrust battles.

The green bubbles really do annoy me, especially with family and trying to share things so I usually move them to another app. This does seem like a sort of solve for that but I don’t need to use iMessage as much as I want to do the communication if that makes sense. If they are going to use a separate app just for me that seems like a silly compromise. I’d rather us all move to Facebook messenger or Instagram chat or something like that. 🐬🐬🐬
I'm with you on this, but it's not easy getting an iPhone user to give up the imessage app. Especially the older folks. It's work having them get use to another app. Telegram is a great replacement 👌
fair point, but just being able to imessage anyone would probably make it worth it. Also if the color annoy you, just change it for chat bubbles

A couple years ago I travelled through Europe, and was shocked to see that no one uses iMessages or Google Messages (on the Android side) everybody seemed to use either WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger or Telegram, that's when I realized this blue bubble green bubble stuff was really dumb.

I just signed up, and yeah, idk how, but they did it. No sign in required, just your credit card and phone number. I'll probably eat the $1.99 a month till apple implements RCS on their devices.
I own an iPhone 📱 15 Pro Max and I personally think it is insane that there is a green and blue bubble feels like tech racism to me. I wish Apple would let that go and bring people together

@@dnickolovBecause things like this exist and will continue to. The EU is also applying pressure to open up iMessage anyway. Apple might as well get ahead of things. The threat of Google buying up Beeper and integrating something similar natively into Pixels is there too.
Apple could copy Beeper Mini and make iMessage a first party paid subscription. I’d be willing to bet that tons of people would use that in the US. Then they’d be the ones profiting from it instead of Beeper.
To monitize it...duh. Apple may as well make the money on it instead of someone else. Beeper actually proves the proof-of-concept that people will pay for iMessage.

Apple will patch this out sooner or later. They just need to require all iMessages be signed with a hashed private key that can’t be generated on a non-Apple device.

WhatsApp and the other ones really compress the videos. They never look good. I don't care anything about Apples Ecosystem, I only care about sending high quality content. The bubble color doesn't bother me either. I don't care about that at all.

The most frustrating for me is I have an android phone and my entire family has iPhones and when we send pics and videos back and forth and they both ways they look like crap!!!!!! US hasn’t complicated anything. They are the leader in technology on the planet. There are literally hundreds of chat apps to meet your needs. iMessage is a feature of Apple hardware.
Literally no Apple customer is asking for this, the only people asking for iMessage on android are the ones that refuse to get an iPhone. Privacy wise I would never trust a 3rd party to give you an apple service.

Very much a solution for people who prefer something like a Pixel but also want to have better texting with iPhone users like they do with other Pixel/Android users. Benefits iPhone users too because now they get to iMessage Android users instead of SMS/MMS
I’m surprised how cheap people are but they spend money on crap freely. I gladly would pay 2 dollars a month for a service that allows me this if I don’t have to be on an apple device. I think that’s the most important thing here.

They don't want iMessage. They want a proper way to communicate with everyone no matter their phones. Apple is on purpose sabotaging cross platform messaging. They operate through segregation and bullying. Making Apples life difficult is a massive W. Eventually if they patch this in a year and it gets again reverse engineered they might even give up.
Eh not really, if this app ever went away I'd still stick with Android devices over Apple...so many benefits you get over Apple. Switching for just a messaging app would be ridiculous.

I have zero reason to use non Apple apps. I’ve been a long time iPhone user. I’m ok with friends on Android texting me. I’m not ok with an app trying to replicate something it isn’t. There green bubbles don’t bother me. iPhones make up over 50% of the U.S. market. Want iMessage and it’s cool features buy an iPhone .
The transmission protocol in iMessage is more advanced than standard SMS and RCS. and therefore, thanks to this application, android users will have an advantage without having to buy an iPhone. I don’t care that this is a replication of the original application, Apple could share its services with others and not take everyone into their iOS jail
