I watched this shit live, this video doesn't do justice to the 2nd part. Grease Hardbody died literally 7 or 8 times trying to get back to the ship, announcing "Don't worry guys, Grease 3/4/5... will be arriving shortly" every time he perished. When he finally reached the sub and ran naked straight into the generator room and just killed everyone it was hysterical.
And I bet everyone commenting on the stream was absolutely insufferable. Get ready for 150 people all typing "LOL" at the same time so you know when the funny thing has happened.

Is there actually a way to succeed at this game? WNTGD is pretty simple; not necessarily easy, but its straight forward. This game seems ridiculously wonky and complex. I get that they aren't really trying to do well, but i can tell it is incredibly complicated.
@@thevenator3955 There are a bunch of different missions that are assigned at the beginning of every round (if you're playing on campaign you can choose harder missions reward that reward more credits to resupply your ship and hire new crew). There are variants but they boil down to delivering dangerous cargo, killing big dangerous creatures, exploring alien ruins for treasure, and fighting another ship of "renegade" players. I haven't really played WNTGD because I'm more of a barotrauma guy, but from what I can tell, things baro has that WNTGD doesn't: >The amount of water in the ship affects the bouyancy of the ship like a real submarine. The up and down in your navigation terminal really controls the pumps in the ballast. >The water also affects the pressure in rooms which can crush you if you aren't careful. >There is a wiring system similar to redstone from minecraft except with junction boxes, and they actually supply power from a nuclear reactor instead of just signals most of the time. The nuclear reactor needs to have it's fission rate and cooling rate properly controlled or else fires will start, resulting in all of the ship going offline, including the engine and ballast pumps. When something breaks whether due to water or fire or overuse, it needs to be fixed. >There is an in-depth medication system where certain types of trauma require different treatments from a bunch of different chemicals. >There is a railgun on the ship, but for maximum effectiveness shells can be packed with explosives or nuclear rods >There will be outposts in the full release. I see that WNTGD has caves with civilizations, but these outposts are like full fledged oxygen supplied buildings. >There's other stuff like docking and chestburster aliens and traitors but you can just view the wiki tl;dr Barotrauma basically takes all of the things you take for granted in WNTGD and makes them vulnerable to disaster. All of the source code is on github, and all files are in XML so it's easy to mod.

This game is fun to play with friends! Then you go on a server and the ship gets terrorized by supremacists. I’m gonna recommend the server SmoothTrauma, if you want to play Barotrauma
