A game, mind you, where you can literally play a Janitor whose only purpose is creating slick floors that cause anyone running to slip and fall. You *can* have a bunch of people simply play the objective, and I don't think anyone would have a *bad* time playing that way. But the purpose of games like Space Station 13 and Barotrauma is less to have a strictly cooperative *or* competitive game, but instead to give the players a bunch of inter-connected tools and mechanics in order to create an entertaining and interactive role-playing story. So really, it's a game practically *made* for a group of friends like Criken's, and it shows. (unrelated note: one of my favorite SS13 stories basically details the events of an innocent scientist who gets a little *too* invested in immortality through cloning and genetic modification to the point where he became a mad god rivaling the ship's AI player for dominance, and wound up turning the AI player against literally everyone else on the ship to the point where only the mad scientist escaped alive)
