For a while we’ve been discussing how every Demon Slayer has their own Kasugai Crow, but did you know that practically every Hashira also has their own iconic pet? For Mitsuri we learn that she actually has a pet rabbit which makes sense because she’s a big fan of really cute things, but her favorite animal is a cat which is the pet that Gyomei the Stone Hashira keeps and takes care of at the Headquarters, and the two bond quite a bit over it because Kanroji apparently had a cat back home when she was growing up that she had to leave behind. For Sanemi he actually raises a rhinoceros Beetle which is also his favorite creature that i’m sure he has to keep away from his Bonsai tree, while Tengen Uzui has a pair of really special rats that we’ve seen are SUPER Buff and capable. His mice actually pick new adventurous mice to train into super soldiers but they only choose mice who have the capability to be completely self absorbed in their muscles and have a flamboyant face, making me wonder just what’s going on with Demon Slayer’s animals? As someone who loves and has taken care of beetles, that beetle in the picture with Sanemi looks more like a Hercules beetle than a Rhinoceros beetle but I guess they're close enough since they're both horny beetles.
