Today we're showing you around our brand new RV travel trailer, a Keystone RV Crossroads Sunset Trail 331BH, and we love it and think it's perfect for our large family. What do you guys think?!
This is great! We live full-time on the road in our RV with 8 KIDS! It can be crazy, but fun!
Hi from New Zealand, wonderful RV, please be super careful about pulling out cabinetry without advice. Those side wardrobes and the cabinet above the bed are structural. That is supporting all your roof and wall framework, it seem that its the front end so would have all the wind pressure while driving. Please get advice on modifications. My husband has an R V business here and rvs can blow apart on the road without the supports.
they must make RV's terrible in New Zealand, never heard of an RV going down the road in America and blowing apart just from driving. You would think that would put a terrible view on a RV business if that was the case.

This is the exact camper I am wanting for our family of 8. I follow another family (family of 11) who live in theirs on and off and got tons of ideas. Our current camper has 1 bed, couch, dinette and no bunkhouse. With 6 kids, that makes the want for travel difficult. Congratulations to you guys on being able to get this!!
Who is the family? They may have some great tips for us!
@@TheMurrays the knorrps of the knorrps and South. They do all kinds of home projects, she is always hitting up thrift stores and they homeschool. I have found that I do not have the patience for homeschool, but they love to travel with the kids

And if you ever decide to get the tv working & wanted movie family time, then if you put the dinette down, you have all that extra room for the girls to watch as you & your hubby watch while reclining. We have recliners like that in our RV & I’ve even slept in them when our grandsons were visiting & didn’t want to sleep in the room alone! That bunk room is amazing as well as the extra bathroom!
WOW! What a bunk room. That's the first one I've seen that sleeps so many. Since you've only used it once, I suggest taking it back to the dealership and having them fix the TV, or show you how it works (if it does).
"...but, who needs a TV right?..... Actually I take it back" 😂 LOL With you on that one!! We try hard to make our kiddos all "nature and adventure" but sometimes you just gotta plug em in and get a couple things done. haha We just found you guys--subscribed!

We have the same mattress and we put a cheap 4" memory foam topper to ours and its great! We are a big family also and we love traveling with the whole crew!! Also, we love your Nissan NV, looks awesome! We just take 2 vehicles everywhere we go.
We did the same and it made a huge difference.

I totally agree with you about the closets in the bedroom. I would rip them out too.
The children's bunk room looks a bit of a squeeze, HOPEFULLY No one will need bathroom thro night. Or they'll be in trouble.
The drying rack is a great idea!
We had to put a bunky board slat thing down under our memory foam mattress to let air come in from underneath. The hinge line under the mattress hurt my back so much and we realized it wasn’t flat. After we bought that thing on Amazon we slept much better, maybe give that a try before junking the mattress. The only thing is, it will be harder to access the storage under the bed.

Hi just wanted to give you a tip for the pullout bed in the kids room. Try putting a mattress topper on top to avoid uneveness under the kids backs😀
You have my ideal setup. The NV3500 is the van I am looking at buy for my family to pull a travel trailer. Has the same engine as my Nissan Titan and has plenty of power. Thanks for showing us your setup
Be careful of the back door ..... So no intruder can get to the kids. Or a child get out at night by unlocking the door.

Just watched your video and LOVE the trailer! You are going to have so many happy memories RVing. On a separate note I could not help to notice that I believe you are going to be way over your GVWR when towing. You might be within weight with no humans in the vehicle and nothing in your trailer. But the weight adds up fast. Please be careful! 2 years back I wanted to get into the same set up you have however I had to settle with getting a 6 passenger half ton truck just to meet the GCWR to be safe.

Hey! Your rv is lovely! However I can’t help but feel a little bad for the child on the floor 😅 would definitely recommend getting her another place higher up to put her bed as that can lead to lots of back problems. For an example, maybe put a bit of a bed frame near the footwell of the kid with the wide bed (sorry I got her name) and above the window, although this could be a little frustrating, my younger sister slept on the floor for over 6 years and she developed a serious back problem which she needed a thousand dollar surgery for. And the surgery didn’t fully get rid of it, it just eased the pain. You could get a ladder to reach her bed. At the end of the day, it your rv and your child, but I just don’t want to see any of your kids in pain 😢
Or if you don’t want to make her a new bed area, you could always just get her a thicker/taller mattress so it doesn’t harm her over time as much

HOW are you able to safely tow your camper with your Nissan NV? We have a Nissan NV 3500 v8, & ours says towing max capacity is 9500.
Thats what I was wondering. Tongue weight alone would blow out the cargo capacity on the NV.

My comment has more to do the with camping logistics with a large family. My wife and I have seven ages 4 months to 13 years. We don’t own an RV but rented for a two week CO trip in 21’ (our first) and a two week trip through Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce in 22’. We traveled with our friends who are seasoned campers and have four kids. The dad of that family did almost all of the planning and booking. We may end up on separate trips this year…..at least through part of it if not entirely. How hard is it to find campgrounds that will allow you to break occupancy rules? Like I mentioned, I haven’t handled much of the bookings thus far… maybe on two of our locations between the two trips. Any advice would be appreciated

What engine does your NV have? We have 7 kiddos and an NV with a Titan engine and some have told me this would be too big to haul with it.

Note: always tilt awning especially on windy and rainy days so water is able to run off easily!
For the rv mattress we got a full foam and cut it to the right size. It was easy to cut because it was only foam
Awesome! Yeah this mattress currently hangs over a bit.
You can also order a bamboo mattress topper
Sweet camper& baby
A little hint, our trailer had a horrible mattress as well. All we did was buy a 2 inch Nova foam topper from Costco. Put it on top of the mattress. It transformed that bed to the most comfortable bed we owned.

How was having a newborn in the camper? We are looking to get one for our move and my baby will be about 2 months when we take off in it. I have a 2 year old currently so I'm nervous about that 😅
