It's a nice change. In almost all the Justice line (except Immortal Justice), their backpack is an atmospheric flyer. Considering the implications behind it, what if the ZGOK ditched its armor on Earth battles, then the Cavalier unit is at least prepared to give the IJ Spec II flight.
While we disliked her characterization for 90% of Destiny, I think her performance in Akatsuki supports your statement. Out of practice piloting a Gundam plus Akatsuki being a completely unfamiliar machine, and she still goes toe to toe with Shinn for a few moments. And whether we like Shinn's character or not, he is an instinctive genius in combat.

Infinite Justice had a very cool concept and that exchange was awesome. But the X-wing design seemed off. At that point they should have just committed and just made his wings bladed or something. maybe giant versions of the boomerangs or anti-ship swords/blades.
Shura is crazy, despite everything advantage Arthus uses in this fight, all the planning, close combat skill, mental warfare, seed burst & surprises with hidden weapon etc, Justice still ended up losing an arm.

Iジャスティスのインファイトの鬼っぷりとトリッキーさ、いいわぁ。今回はリフター突撃を使わない分、アスランの奇策とカガリとの連携が映えてる。デスティニーに勝利したときの逆で右腕を持ってかれながら、反撃で頭部ブレードでフィニッシュも素晴らしい。リフター装着はメイリンがサポートしてるからか、インパルスのシルエット装着のオマージュかな。

逆襲のシャアのギュネイ撃破した戦略みたく、シールドをデコイにして視覚情報を欺いてる…とかだったらかっこいい（その後のシーンを見るに、実際のところはどうなってるのかイマイチわからないけど…）
種デスでは使われなかったシールド兼ブーメランを､サーベルとして､出し惜しみ無く使ってくれてる所とかが､嬉しかったですね
