To be fair, Silver's powers (psychokinesis) come from his mind, and screwing with minds is *exactly* what Infinite is specialized in. No wonders he managed to defeat Silver so quickly - it was like depriving Shadow of his Chaos powers or making Sonic be unable to go fast at all!

'06 actually had the best story IMO. Each character felt like they had their own personality, sonic was more than just gotta go fast and chilli dogs, shadow had been responsible for the sealing and release of Mephiles, etc. The characters and the story was polished, and the only complaint I have with the game is the glitches. But aside from that it's a really good game, especially considering the limitations at the time

Oh trust me, TONS of people want it...But look at Shadow the hedgehog...Sega might do something kinda like that again with a Silver game, and well...You get the point, I still think It should happen though! maybe just as like a beta/alpha release to get feedback on how much people enjoy it.
Pachi RamaSama I want a Silver the Hedgehog game that literally just involves Silver going through his own problems without the other characters, except new characters that exist in his time. His gameplay should be similar to 2006 but upgraded, For his flight you should be able to control exactly where the player wants to go (like the wing cap in Mario), his psychokinesis definitely, grabbing enemies or any objects and navigating them around instead of them just floating around you, and his little psychic slap thing, that should be replaced with a massive psychic push (Like Star Wars the Force Unleashed)
Phenomenal music honestly. Takes me back to the days of playing sonic 06. I honestly found the game enjoyable but that’s just my opinion.

If I had to choose the best hedgehog in the franchise, I'd stick with Silver. Sure, he's not badass as Shadow, or as fun like Sonic; but it's because of Silver heroism that makes him the better hero among all the three. To him, the people comes first before himself (as seen near the end of 06 when Silver was trying to claim Iblis). He's actually more selfless than all the rest as to when he wishes for a better future for everyone else, due to the hardship of the future. He had lost a friend (Blaze) but it was that moment is when he started to get more serious to helping others. Unlike Shadow, he lost Maria and attempted to destroy Earth because of it. Clearly, Silver has more conscience than all the rest.
Fan service does not mean the character is good. XD If they want Shadow to be more loveable, they should develop his character more.
This is true, but Sonic is like this too, friends come before himself and even though he is reckless and shows off sometimes, he always have a good and beautiful meaning behind it, and even is a role model sometimes like he was to Blaze in Sonic Rush, and srsly, all the times he saved his pals!!! And the way he acted in the Black Knight, that game rly shows ALL the sides of Sonic character :) And Silver is super nice too, I'm not saying that I'm just saying Sonic is like that too! xD also, Shadow DID risk his life to save the world with Sonic for his dead friend.. so yeah... X') so based on only the hedgehog's personality, Sonic and Silver would be tied and Shadow would be 2nd lolz! xD just saying, don't get me wrong, I live Silver and his theme!! (*^o^*)
Yes, Sonic is shown to be very heroic. I do love Sonic. But he lacks development of his own character. Silver evolved in just one game. From a hedgehog willing to risk everything for the greater good, to a hedgehog who values life even more and keeps the memory of Blaze alive by fighting for their ideal even more.
Sonic just sorta... When someone dies, he's just sad and runs off. Remember Chip? He became good friends with him. But in the end he just shrugs it off in the next game. Not even carrying his bracelet anymore.
I also like Amy now. Back then, I use to hate her for being the annoying fangirl who does nothing but chase Sonic.
But ever since Sonic Boom, I've begun to love her. They finally gave her a better personality than being obsessive. She's more stable and she shows more love equally to Sonic and her friends.
Shadow and Silver are opposite sides of the same coin. I completely agree with what you've said here about Silver. But Shadow chooses to fight for the people of the world, even if they choose to betray him in the future. Sure, he made mistakes along the way, don't we all? I could go either way on choosing between the two of them as the most heroic character.

I hope Sega makes a Sonic 06 for the 3DS on the 25th anniversary. One year from now Sonic is turning 25, and we still hadnt heard any upcoming games.
I want SEGA to re-make 06 the way they had planned before their superiors made them rush it. Y'know, with things like Super Sonic in normal levels, an actually original character as Silver's partner, a day/night cycle, a decent story, a Metal Sonic story, things like that. But since the rushed version already exists, I doubt that will happen. *sigh*

Silver and Blaze are, by far, my favorite characters in the whole franchise. Their designs are just perfect. And their background stories are great. But Sega has never made the most of them.
I mean, they have used Blaze in several comics and games and gave her an interesting arch, but still, I feel like these two are characters with great ingredients but poor execution. They could carry a whole story on their own. A few years ago I read several fanfics which explored that in really interesting ways, but I feel like Sega won't ever have the balls to give a mildly mature arch to such great characters.

@@gracely5645 I'll give you your point too. I enjoyed both Sonic Rush back when I was a little kid with a DS. But, I mean, I feel like those two deserve something really mature. And I'm mature, as in *dark* . They live on a destroyed future, there are so many philosophical questions they could bring up.
It would also be a fresh concept for the Sonic franchise. I enjoy their classic kid-oriented themes, most of them are interesting and fun, but it's starting to get repetitive and predictable. "Let's fight with the power of friendship!", that kind of bullshit. Besides, many Sonic fans nowadays are almost (If not already) adults, and they're completely ready to handle a new context, with a darker setting, deeper personalities, more sophisticated arcs...
Am I asking for too much? Yeah, maybe I am. But still, having read several fanfics that explore each character personality and makes them ask more complex questions about the world they live in, come on, Sega can totally do that. Add to that the nervous and hesitant personality of Silver and the edgy and dedicated one of Blaze, and BOOM, you got yourself a great story the series can grow up with.

I can recommend you Ghost of the Future, though. It's a comic about Silver which still hasn't ended to this day (I think they're about to release issue 19, gotta double check), and despite being a fanfic it really shows how the creator (Or creators, haven't read the credits) cares about the characters and what they go through. You can find it at deviantart, again, completely recommended. And don't worry if the beginning doesn't have the best image quality, by issue 10 or so the drawings are amazing

I think Sonic '06 needs a second chance. The game wasn't bad at all, just buggy and poorly made. If it were to get a remake with new graphics, the new voice actors, and fix all the glitches, it could be up there as one of the best Sonic games. Plus, I want to see Silver again. He's my favorite character, and has been ever since I learned about his backstory. I've always admired how he can realize and fix his mistakes, how he's more selfless than any other character in the franchise, and can keep himself together even in the bleakest of situations. That's a lot for someone at the age of 14 to handle. It's these reasons that the only Sonic action figure I currently display on my shelf is his. He's a great character, and I don't want him to get stuck only showing up as a character in the Olympics. I'm just holding out hope that Sega has something grand planned for Sonic's 25th anniversary, and that it might bring back Silver.
+TurtleCraftZ1 I agree that the game would be much better with a remake, but even still there are many design flaws in the game, like the way some parts of levels are constructed for example the ball puzzle.
That's true, but they could simply fix or remove those parts of the levels. Plus, I don't think the ball puzzle was all that bad.

I have to agree. I honestly had no problem with Silver's gameplay in the game & the telekinesis made platforming in the game actually enjoyable.
Random Ron it's actually psychokinesis that silver uses. Telekinisis is Raven's psychic powers. Just making that easier for you. :)
