yesterday i thought my bike has a problem due to powertronic installation. It was doing 112kmph on 3rd gear with Akrapovic full system exhaust and 140/70 section tyre (No speedo error). After watching your video, now i know it is working fine 🙏🏼 oh its R3 strell. KTM 390 is superb and beautiful too.
167km/h on a limited stretch is impressive - especially for these new age BS-6 OBD-2 vehicles.

@@opticgamer1543 Yes it's phase-2 of BS-6 norms and OBD basically stands for 'Onboard Diagnostics'
In simple terms, the BS-6 phase-1 vehicles needed to be tested only in labs, the BS6 phase 2 compliant models will have to meet the emission norms in real-world conditions apart from being tested in laboratories.

For people saying Ayush Verma hits 170kph is cool I agree and I know he is a race king, but 167 is also impressive man 🔥it was almost 170kph.
Slightly more leaning would have given strell a better top speed..

I think it can easily reach 170kph if the straight is a bit longer and if maybe a lighter aftermarket exhaust, that'll do 172kph i guess.

Even first gen duke couldn't touch 180 kmph, this won't touch that much speed, but yes, after 3rd servicing, engine smoothens and speed goes up, this bike will definitely cross 170 kmph, it may touch 171-172.

Been a duke fan since duke 200 back in 2013 and i am a proud owner of duke 390 bs3 model... not providing any hate but I feel the bs3 version is faster❤
Every Old bikes are faster but newer once are reliable and more environmental friendly
If you remove the cat cons and tune the ECU, this one will beat the bs3 duke.

Below is the best way for ultimate top speed:
After continuously riding 15-20 kms, slow down a bit for around 1 minute while still keeping in top gear, this will relax the engine and also increase oil pressure to maximum.
Then finally down shift to desired gear for max pickup and pull it and upshift it accordingly, you will get ultimate top speed, but within a minute the engine will go harsh and speed will be reduced automatically.
That ultimate top speed is not for continuous cruising.

Without a doubt ktm makes the most beautiful motorcycles, but that engine sound has never been able to improve it😫, I expected a little more final speed in that new engine, in technology it is above 💯

How is the vibration? Is it too much?
It wAS TOO MUCH BEFORE FIRST SERVICE. bUT IT IS CALM NOW IN MOST OF THE RANGE. oNLY TIME IT IS VIBRATING AND YOU CAN FEEL ON THE HANDLEBAR IS ON 3rd gear between 4k-5.5k RPm. The bike feels totally different after first service if you break-in properly.

My suzuki Raider 150cc Gen 1 top speed is 160. im not impressed if Duke 390 is only 164 topspeed, by the way im planning to buy duke390, because here in the Philippines duke390 can enter to expressway, superhighway.

Thats impressive man. But On a race track and only 167? Buddy it can go more. You are changing gear on a lesser speed. I did 176 in Assam and could have done higher . Try again, you can reach 190 with 390 or atleast the 2017 model could. All the best

My 2018 D390 does 179Kmph with my weight of 72kg. Not sure 167kmph is a figure to be happy about regardless of the norms.

I find it pretty weak imo i have a 2016 duke 390 and my top speed is 184kph i weight 67kg but riding at such speed with a light bike like that is not comfortable nor stable

It takes ages to hit 140kmph, while Duke does that in a twist of throttle, there is a difference between these bikes, Nothing to hate about, Happy Riding!

Yesterday i done a ride with R15vr.2 it doesn't took me ages to hit above 125... seamlessly it went 296km in just 3 .30hrs that too in a Normal national Highways where you cant make 100kmph Constantly....Its with Us how we handle the Machine.
@@hariharanvengatesan6855 It's you who is satisfied with the performance of R15 and yes there are people who care about that little initial punch and the power it produces from that twist of throttle you get from the engine, and there are maniacs who could probably do more in the same road you have said, if it weren't for fast riders, the 1000cc category wouldn't have been existed!
