Thank you for this video. I am currently in a 2 week Covid lockdown. I have just started to sort out and rearrange my Craft room and it is very overwhelming where to begin 😳 but guess I have the time just now! I have looked at so many craft room videos for ideas. Yours is the only one with some good advice.... (start in one area/zone) and someone I can relate to, making lists, I love ticking off items on lists. Fonts, labels on everything, make it look neat, and repurpose things you have. The white cans look great, that’s another item to go on my ‘To Do List’ I love your ideas. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Thanks! Ann in Australia.
So sorry about the lockdown😔 Thank you so much for your super sweet comment. I truly love knowing that I'm helping someone else. Good luck with your craft room makeover!
Your video is awesome!!! Your storage is a lot like mine use what I have around the house but… I love the idea of glueing those boxes together never thought about that great idea!!! Thanks for sharing God bless:)
I'm new to your channel.. I just love your craft room and your honest presentation of it. I'm not able or willing to spend a ton of money on things for my craft room/home office, but I too want it to look organized and not quite so cluttered. Great ideas! Thank you!
Your office/craft room is very functional and aesthetically pleasing. Love your Dollar Tree storage hacks. I hope you don’t mind if I ask about the dimensions of your room. I’m trying to reorganize a fairly small area and need some help with logistics (definitely not in my skill set! 😵💫) Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! The room is 13.1"x13.3". I've been able to cream a bunch of stuff in there🤣 I actually recently made some changes to the layout which I like even better. I'm planning on making a video about that soon! Good luck on your makeover!
I really enjoyed your video. I am trying to get a craft room set up for the first time in my life. I've had a room before, but never actually planned the space to use it the best way for me. Everything just kind of "landed" in there haphazardly. I am now planning what I want in my space and trying to have it all be cohesive. Don't get rid of your mats. Find someplace to put one or two of them where they are out of the way. You never know when they will come in handy. I am not saying to keep every one of them, just a couple.
I hope this gives you some inspiration to finally get your craft room how you want it. I have kept my old mats for so long and not used them, so now I just had to get rid of them. I was tired of the clutter. I would love to find a use for them because I hate throwing things out.
i am a list maker as well and confess to adding a chore that I have completed just for the joy of checking it off!!! I love labels too. I so understand. I have six large vegetable cans like yours. Since I love the white enamel with black trim look, I am going to copy your idea and paint them. Lastly, I love to put "feet" on little drawers and cabinets. I just finished making an apothecary cabinet with those Dollar Tree drawers. I am going to put 1" dowels on the bottom as feet. I think that would look very cute on your polka dot boxes that you glued together. I just joined your channel and look forward to your future projects. Barbara in Texas
I love the idea of adding feet to my storage boxes! I have the perfect thing...little blocks from a Dollar Tree kids game I picked up purposely to use as feet! So excited to do this. Thanks so much for sharing the idea.
Eeewwww! I've never heard of chamber pots, so I googled it...EEEEWWWWWWW!😆 I'll never look at another enamel pot the same way. I still like the look...I think.
Wow this was the most well explain and useful video that I have seen in a long time 😆I love the baby change table transformation ! your ideas are ingenious 🤩 thank you I need these ideas 💡
Love the acrylic paint display and storage system you made! I’ve been searching for a few weeks for something that I liked, and would work for me.... thank you!
Cute channel! I have been organizing my chaos too, it helps me keep going to watch others in the same boat haha. I am looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for us!
Love your organizing tips. Some of the best thus far! I literally paused your video and drove to the Dollar Tree looking for cube boxes to use for acrylic paint storage. Unfortunately, they were all out but the light bulb came on as I was driving back home and I fetched a few sturdy but narrow shoe boxes from my shoe closet. I then stacked two of them and placed them horizontally on a book shelf. Grabbed all my paints and Voila! It worked. Thank you so much for this awesome idea!
That's awesome! And so funny you went to DT in the middle of the video🤣 Sometimes you just have to see how other people do things to spark your own ideas. That's why I LOVE making these videos! Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely LOVE my Silhouette machines! I haven't used Cricut since back in the day of the cartridges you had to use with them. Silhouette's design program is AMAZING and there's never been anything I wanted to do that I couldn't figure out how to do. You can get the basic version of Silhouette Studio for free if you want to play some with it before getting a machine. Go to silhouetteamerica.com to download the software.
I loved your idea for using the changing table in your craft room and am thinking of doing the same. I was wondering though if you could answer a question for me please? I've looked on the ikea site and couldn't find the answer. It says that the Depth is 31 1/2 ". Is that when the top is pulled out? That what it looks like to me but I wasn't sure. I just wanted to check because if it's just that deep then it won't work for me. :O( Thank you for the awesome idea!
It's 20" deep from the back to the drawer fronts and 31.25" is how long the top part is from the back to the front. Hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any other questions.
I really enjoyed visiting your work space today. I saw many tips for organizing my supplies. Really like the changing table idea. So much space in a small piece of furniture🤗 I too have many rolls.......vinyl.....paper...etc....don’t know why I haven’t put rubber bands around them 🥴. I will now. I’m a new subscriber to your channel and look forward to watching more. 🥰
Yay! So glad you found some useful tips. The changing table is one of my favorite furniture pieces because it does hold so much. Thank you for subscribing and let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to see a video about.
You know, I always forget to try and wash them first! I have one now I'm going to try that with. Thanks for the tip! Glad to have you part of my channel😊
Don't toss mats....clean with a clean spongy pot scrubber and dishwashing soap....then I stay them with spray adhesive....covering the tracks on the side with tape....
I used to do that, but I found the spray adhesive didn't last long and left a residue on my materials. Then I found the generic brand, Nicapa, that is much more affordable so I don't mind replacing them. I also only buy the 12x24 size now and rotate them around so it's like having 2 mats in one since most things I make really only need the 12x12 mat. So I don't have to replace them too often. That's great if you've found the spray adhesive works well for you. It does feel wasteful throwing them out🥴
@@KeepCalmandCraftOn try cleaning the mats with baby wipes before tossing. I agree that the Nicapa mats are great but you can get more mileage out of them be cleaning all the residue off.
Great job! Lovely room! Thought the idea of pink boxes are cute and smart idea on supplies for easy gab -n- put back! Sweet!
Fabulous storage ideas and such a lovely space to create!😊
Thank you so much😊

I like the idea of making it your own.

Thank you! I hope you find some of these ideas helpful for your space😁

I love your space! My favorite was your painted veggie cans-genius! 😁❤️
Thank you! I love them so much better now that they're painted.

My grandmother called those enamel pots “pisspots”- I kid you not! They were used as chamber pots when she was growing up.

Are the drawers in the changing table sold separately? I couldn’t find them at IKEA.
Yes, the drawers were sold separately so you could configure the piece just how you wanted it. You could leave them as shelves or add the drawers.

If your mats are like my cricut mats, just wash them in warm soapy water. They’ll get there sticky back.
