How much of the skippiness differences in this video do we attribute to Composite layup (carbon?) vs plastic? I assume, since in the other vids we saw it bouncing down a rocky drop, that the prototype is a heavier composite layup, but still seems like it would be lighter than the equivalent sized plastic creekboat. Either way...looks like an epicly skippy boat and will be aptly named.
None. The proto isn’t made from carbon. It’s fiberglass and Kevlar, neither of which are stiff, and a high flex resin. The proto was about the same weight and stiffness of a plastic boat - there is no point making a super light and stiff bowt because your feedback would be wrong
@@corran-soul I appreciate this response. There is so much that goes into the design of boats, and then you have to scale up and down to accommodate three sizes of the same design, which is impossible to do.
Need to get Wade in that boat

Love it, the boats in the current videos are composite, right? I'd super excited to see video of the plastic version of the Super Skipper
Composite but built to same weight and flex of plastic (or testing would be meaningless).
@@corran-soul wow, that's pretty cool!
Where is this filmed?
Rouge river in quebec
This thing is insane
Amazing
