For the Otto story:
Otto tried, for 500 years, to bring Kallen back to life. Through cloning, manipulating Honkai itself and so on and so forth, until he came to the understanding that; 'Once the soul dissipates, one cannot be brought back to life. The world allows a mind to find a matching vessel, but does not allow a vessel to gather the pieces of a mind(soul).'
He learned that particular tidbit from trying to clone her and making those clones gather 'echoes' of Kallens' mind, which proved it was possible to collect fragments, but not to reassemble them.
So to save the actual Kallen, he had to do something before her soul would dissipate. Thus, go back in time. Or rather: Let himself become a God (by selling himself to the Will of Honkai), make other godlike powers fight you to disrupt your ties to reality (and the Will of Honkai) itself all to end up in the same 'phase' as the Tree of Reality itself, where he can then sacrifice his existence itself to create new branches of the Tree of Reality where his old friend can live. All the while plotting to empower those who want to preserve humanity through plots Machiavelli and Sun Tzu combined would balk at.
Because that's a totally reasonable thing to assume possible.
But the madlad actually bloody well did it.

I love that in every non-honkai player reaction I've seen of a game where people have superpowers, including time manipulation and magical girl transformations accompanied by epic animation, choreography and music plus depression galore, the one brief scene where otto shoots fu hua and kiana's finger expertise, along with the "camera angles", still got everyone's attention.
14:12 Fu Hua's body is possessed by a Herrscher, but her consciousness is safe, that's why she can support Kiana through her mind.
Also, the Herrscher inside Fu Hua's body got overwhelmed and confused by Fu Hua's 50,000 worth of memories, and ended up thinking she was the real Fu Hua
It doesn't help that a Herrscher with Fu Hua's body is one of the most terrifying things you could imagine.
it's basically like giving a nuke to a 3 years old kid. At first they're like "oh cool what does this do?" and then boom, after they got bored playing with it they start nuking randomly with an unlimited bomb supply

Putting the herrscher standing at the peak of psychic powers, but having no physical ways to defend herself, into the body of a perfect warrior who is utterly incapable of death even if you crushed her head completely...yeah that totally isn't unstoppable at all.

The main focus on the last animation is Otto, the antagonist (The dude you saw). He is the antagonist for killing, experimenting, and more to the innocent all just to revive kallen that died 500 years ago (The girl that was about to hanged). She was his childhood friend and his hope for humanity
So dude actually lived for 500 years to commiting to revive her which it extremely respectable. Not to mention, he said he doesn't mind to die just to revive her. Just his ways are uh....
overlooking his evil deeds, he's the reason why humanity can stand against honkai. He's the reason why humanity got a lot of herscher on their side . And he also advanced a lot of things and lead schisckal to where they are rn.

@@1idd0kun first of all they are in an apocalyptic setting where they can be annihilated anytime. compared to what happened in previous era, what he did is actually on smaller scale and yet they manage to fend of honkai and even get multiple herscher to humanity's side.
What I'm trying to say is, Just as how much suffering and destruction he cause, we can't overlook the result that he brought. I'm not saying he's not evil, I'm just stating that he's the one who lead the world against honkai for 500 years.
He's also actually more humane than other characters in terms of being selfish while others go on and on about the power of love and friendship.
I also like his character more coz it is well written and full of contradictories and complicated feelings such as what he shown in his final moment where he hated what he did and tired of living like that for 500 years yet he's willing to walk the same path again if necessary.
I'm not saying you should condone his action, I'm just saying there is more to him if u look in different perspective.

Genshin Impact will have a REALLY big chance of being depressing like Honkai, in the first 3 nations it is really fun, chaos and in the last quest for Raiden Ei in Inazuma it becomes suddenly so sad so I think it will be like Honkai at this point tbh. But lucky that there are still so many times until the real nature of this Genshin Impact world is revealed to the players one by one with the story of the next 4 nations (if in the end it also counts the nations is being destroyed 500 years ago by the Archons then it 5 nations). Btw, since I didn't see anyone in your chat explain it to you in detail, I can try to explain it myself.
The honkai beasts have some leaders, Kiana, Mei and Bronya are some of them, Kiana the herrscherr of void, that's why she can control another dimension where she can summon things from. Mei is the herrscherr of thunder, she is fast, that's it XD, and Bronya is the herrscherr of reason, she is clever and can summon electronic devices.
BUT, no one can convert into a herrscherr because they want to, they need a core. These cores are very unusual, and they were created apart from other herrscherrs that were defeated in the past, so that's why Mei, Kiana and Bronya have their own powers.
Since herrscherrs are the leaders of honkai and have killed many humans, that's why mankind doesn't want to be friends Mei and Kiana even though they are good people and have controls of their powers. And btw, the herrscherrs aren't the most powerful on this lore, there are like... A far more powerful humans that have what is known as Divine keys, Fu Hua, for example, has a divine key that allows her to... Play with the mind of the people, even herself, I'm not so sure about this since Fu Hua has so many other powers and I can no longer recognize what the divine key she has does XD

Fu hua’s divine key is called fenghuang down. It was made from the previous era’s eighth herrschers core. With it, u can manipulate anyone freely (I think)

to the person that said Otto died savin g her and she didn't know, that's wrong. after this short, before Otto faded away, he left a final message for her and the clip ended with Kallen saying 'Farewell, my Great Inventor'
So basically genshin is part of the Honkai multiverse and 3 characters counterparts already appeared in the game,the nameless Goddess we see in the beginning of the game(Kiana's counterpart),the Electro Goddess Raiden Shogun(Mei's counterpart) and Yae Miko(Yae Sakura's counterpart)
And fischl counterpart!
Facts: 1- Kiana makes cubes
2- Unknown goddess also makes cubes
3- Kiana has that hair with one strand lifted up
4- Unknown goddess also has the same strand of hair
5- All kianas from different eras have the same lock of hair! It is characteristic of mihoyo to only place this lock on the kianas!
6- Kiana and the unknown goddess have the same official voice actress
7- There is no other character in mihoyo's multiverse that is as similar to the unknown Goddess in the same way that Kiana is similar!
8- Mihoyo has the custom of making counterparts of the same character in their games, for example: Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun, Fischl honkai, Fischl Genshin, Yae Sakura (honkai), Yae miko (Genshin)..
In Lament of the fallen, that flash back, IS about Mei trying to commit suicide because she didn't have control over her power's and didn't hurt anyone, but Kiana stopped her and so in Lament of the fallen Mei is the one who saves Kiana
On Lament of the Fallen, due to what she did in Meteoric Salvation, Kiana was dying and Mei made a deal with the leader of World Serpent, Kevin Kaslana, to become a Herrscher again but she had to join them and Kiana didn't want that. On Reawakening, "Fu Hua" reawakens with certain memories and fights different people, Durandal(the one you said looks like Saber from Fate), Kevin, Bronya, and Kiana. On Shattered Samsara, this is when "Fu Hua" realizes that she is actually the Herrscher of Sentience, Senti for short, and fights Kiana. On Everlasting Flames, the puppets and the giant robot thing is the Herrscher of Domination and using certain gems, Kiana achieves a new form, Herrscher of Flamescion, and with everyone's help, she defeats it. On Pre-Revalation, Otto steps down as Schicksal Overseer to enact his plan. On Thus Spoke Apocalypse, Otto makes a different timeline for his long lost love, Kallen by sacrificing himself. Like other Honkai Captains, I love this game and I hope to see you join us, as for my favorite Valkyrie, that's definitely the sexy scythe wielding maid, Rita, followed closely by Durandal

Why Kiana is a most torture soul (might contain Spoilers):
-Kiana is a clone of Real Kiana.
-Siegfried, Kiana's father tried so save Real Kana, picked up Clone as well. Ended up saving only Clone
-Therefore, Kiana we know never got love she deserved. Siegfried resent and kind of blamed her. But still gave her food, anything she needed to live and birthday gifts
-Kiana get possessed by Herrscher who is responsible for her moms death.
-Still smiles every day, somehow.
-Kills her own teacher.
-Want's to kill herself.
-When she get's herself on feet, her loved Mei joins sort of Terrorist group to save Kiana
keep it in mind that everything that happens in the cg's and trailers was happened in a less than a year, fyi from chapter 1 episode 1 on game to the first video in part 1 was take 6 months to happened, and then the "runaway" video one where the amazing graze played was proximately 2 months later after that, so yeah, less then a year
Favorite Characters:
1) HotE. Girl puts Thanos to shame. Literally oneshot Earth and it wasn't even 100% of her power. Of course God Kiana from GGZ is the better Herrscher of the End but hey, Honkai 3rd HotE is fire too.
2) Seele. She's just the epitome of wholesome. Also she has a badass split personality, and she can use the Abyss Flower without being a Schariac which is just cool in and of itself.
3) Su. He is literally the Buddha. Doesn't get much cooler than that. He literally just chills under trees and never opens his eyes and that is a mood. I wish I was more like Su.
4) Kiana. She's our Spicy Tuna.

Abyss Flower was made from the core of the 'Herrsher of Death' from the Previous Era. Also, Seele has the Stigmata of the previous 'Herrsher of Death'.

In the manga it's explained that to kill even one of the most basic mook in the game, you need anti-tank weapon, and elite mooks actually shook off MBT cannon and killed thousands of people before dying when attacked by a fully equipped army. However, the gun used by the characters tend to be enhanced by Honkai energy or their special power, so they remain lethal or at least capable of inflicting wounds.
Or you can think of it as gunfight is cool so they thought up technobabble to keep gunfight relevant, despite the conceit of the setting is conventional force with conventional big guns tend to get ROLFstomped.

Fu Hua is not reincarnated numerous time. She live for more than 50.000 years from the previous era, that got annihilated by the Honkai, before the current storyline civilization. And for how she can live that long, she was a MANTIS, humans who got modified with Honkai gen and got Honkai physical characteristic, for example like Kevin who has a sub-zero temperature body. With that, those MANTIS can hold and wield the sacred key, weapon created also from Honkai gen which for normal human, they will turn into a zombie instantly if they tried to use them.
Honkai is a story where a lot of characters other than Kiana are deep enough where they could've been the main character in the story. Like Durandal, Kevin, Otto, Fu Hua, Mei, Bronya, Theresa, any Flame Chasers, Welt, Siegfried, Sirin, and more.
They're all great but none of them truly compares to Kiana. There's something very special about Kiana and her journey that makes her the perfect protagonist for Honkai.

I love CH dub, but Kiana's JP VA in Shattered samsara and Everlasting flame absolutely crushed it and makes it easier to connect with a more global audience compared to CH dub (simply because of the way CH works). Wish you saw them in JP first!

_HI3_ is designed as a mobile game, it's far more combat and action-oriented than the open-world _Genshin_ . _HI3_ instead lets you field a party of of to three, and you have things like a switch-in QTE mechanic instead of elemental reactions. Each character has her own weapon, and they fall into one of five types (Mech, Bio, Psychic; Quantum and Imaginary) for an RPS system and do a type of damage similar to _Genshin_ after it (Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Physical). I find the combat much better than in _Genshin_ , however the open world modes are limited to an open world map you can choose every week, such as 'A Post-Honkai Odyssey,' which occurs 8 years after the end of the current story. There are also loads of events that go on, the Mihoyo often gives out S- and A-ranked Valkyries for free. There is loads to this game to enjoy. Current story is something like Chapter 28, and then there's engame content to challenge like Abyss and Elysian Realm.

the game is actually the buffed up Genshin with minus of open world (basically a DMC/Nier/Bayonetta kind of ARPG). Genshin's prototype is actually APHO (in your terms its the shippuden of Honkai) which is a Honkai DLC with small open world

The entire theme of Honkai is basically "Loss" and "Love", as you can see the pattern throughout the videos.
Like, Otto. He saw the love of his life saved the world. Yet, what did the world repay the Holy Maiden? They wronged her and executed her as a witch. So, he got jaded.
Otto tried so many things over the 500 years to bring Kallen back. He first tried to clone her, splicing Honkai energy into them so they will have longer lifespan. The clones either ended up a failure, or became horrified that they were a mix of abomination of human and Honkai Beast. So they murdered each other so they don't have to live a life being monsters.
The only clone that didn't kill herself was Theresa Apocalypse - a chibi Kallen who can't age. But Otto realized that despite how much she looks like Kallen, acts like Kallen, thinks like Kallen. She's not his Kallen.
Then, he funded an experimental battleship that can travel across the multiverse across the Sea of Quanta and found a space-time singularity humanoid (the "player") who could withstand the link-up with the battleship and not be affected by timelines. Why? So he could have the Captain to save Kallen from the past. The issue is, travelling in the Sea of Quanta isn't the same as time travel. Even if he and the Captain save Kallen somewhere from the Sea of Quanta, there will always be countless other Kallens out there suffering tragic deaths. And even if he saves all of them, they are still not his Kallen.
So, in desperation, he came to the conclusion of he needs to violate that Tree of Life (not exactly Tree of Life, since the thing habors time, life, souls, but let's call it that) so that he could create a timeline for *the* Kallen he knew so she could live on.
Here's the thing that I find Otto admirable. He could have just used the tree to travel back in time and save her himself and delete the entire timeline he came from. But doing so would mean Kiana, Bronya and the characters we know would cease to exist. So, he retain the timeline and create a new branch of timeline for Kallen alone. And he did that after ensuring that Kiana's squad can handle the Honkai threat by making them resilient through all the bullshit he put them through. The cost? His existence.
Then, in the new timeline, Kallen was saved. Well, was never in any threat of being betrayed by humanity to begin with. And she never knew. She would go on living a fulfilled life, not knowing there was a man who became the most hated man in the world just so she can live.
Now, here's the heartbreaking thing. Even though this universe's Otto might still exist and not erased, and she could have lived happily with this Otto. He's not the Otto who saved her.
Thus, such was the tale of a man named Otto who willingly cease to exist so that his Kallen will live. But his Kallen will never know.

Well reacted and you caught most of it correctly. You can only understand the animations by playing the game, and the animations are also available in-game. It's quite hard to understand by watching the animated shorts alone. Looking forward for another Captain to board on the bridge.

There are already a few chars (Kazuha and Shenhe) in genshin that look like her other forms, but maybe one day they'll add her in Genshin and I'll definitely look forward to it
Now there are different theories of what the new timeline. some said kallen will live and with this new timeline's otto. The other said Otto his existence vanishes for changing the past, tricking on the laws above the world, this is more sad. From my point of view, there should be no timeline that kallen lives before he does this thing.
But one thing I can tell, that Kallen in new timeline knows what he does for her. In fact in the whold animation short Thus Apocalypse Said Otto is alerady dead. Living creatures cannot touch that tree to change the timeline. He stole the power of god/nature and keep it after his death for a while to achieve such a miracle, starting new branch of past 500 years before. It's only memories so the scene they together does not mean anything. It happened before her death moment.

There are only a few characters I can think of who can beat Kevin, excluding the Herrschers of Binding, Sentience and The End.
All of the flame chasers could fight evenly with Kevin, the foremost of which being Su, Kevin's lifelong friend. Su is one of the more powerful Flame Chasers, with his Signets of Bodhi rivalling Kevin's Signets of Deliverance. But he's a pacifist and his Divine Key isn't combat based. In the Manga, Su manages to beat Kevin in a fight within Seed of Sumeru, a bubble universe Su created using the 2nd divine key. With his eyes closed. Although Su always has his eyes closed so that doesn't make much of a difference.
Elysia and Kalpas (especially with his mask off) come in close second. Elysia's strong enough that her signet name is redacted and Kalpas's signets are called Decimation for a reason.
Hua, Mobius, Eden, Yae Sakura, and Pardofellis have a lower chance of being able to beat him but they come pretty close, especially with the aid of their Divine Keys.
As for non-flame chasers, Durandal with the full power of the beast within the Stigmata and the Holy Blood could go up against him and win. Kiana could too, especially in peak Herrscher of Flamescion form.
But other than that not many others could beat him. Current Era humanity struggles against Herrschers whereas Kevin defeats them with ease.
Honestly I agree with most of what you said. But not about Kiana and Durandel. Kevin is the second strongest character in Honkai's lore at the moment. We are talking about a 50,000 year old human being who single handely took out Herrschers and is the strongest human in the world. Oh yeah, and he manged to DAMAGE The Herrscher of the End for 12 hours depleting her honkai reserves. The same being that rules over all Herrschers and can one shot planets as she did with the previous Era. Mei is one of strongest Herrschers at the moment, and she is currently training with previous Era Fire Moth members who Kevin leads. Ngl Durandel in her current form is probably even stronger than Kiana in her current Herrscher form, but saying that either of them could beat Kevin is a stretch. The reason Fu Hua has a chance is her Training as a Mantis next to him for 50,000 years and having her Herrscher powers is a bonus. Other than her, I don't see many other people that could take him on and beat him.
@@jakeblitzcoffie4859 Durandal does have a chance, but only if Kevin doesn’t use the Keys of Revelation or Destruction. His MANTIS genes were passed down through his bloodline so Durandal also has the same ICHOR as him. If she can activate it, she’d be pretty evenly matched in terms of physical strength because of the Holy Blood and Kaslana stigmata. Kevin’s immense strength comes from the ICHOR.
She also has the advantage of the beast within the stigmata being more versatile than Kevin’s ice, and the aid of the Astral Harness and Holy Blade. It’s easy to forget that her power level is as high as it actually is.
Also, while Kevin was able to fight HotE, he was ultimately not the one who weakened her. It was the Selene that weakened her to 70% power with its cannons.
@@elainasynranelt I guess that's true. I could see Durandel being able to hold her own against him without his weapon, but I don't think her chances are really high if he pulled out Might of An-Atu.

he's found one, create a new timeline with there their, he's and kallen can alive together, but one a risk, now otto, who make all from first until new, must gone in timeline for save a "past" kallen in new timeline
in short, the current otto timeline is now sacrificing itself to save kallen when the incident was stabbed and as a result otto now will disappear but kallen and otto from the new timeline he saved will live as he wants

9:00 i think differently here. Yes, Honkai Anime might become known to many Peoples then. However the Love it gains now is probably gonna be Higher than the love it will gain if it gets animated.
Shows often can't display every single details in depth. There are many shows out there where many details aren't added. For the Honkai game, it has so in depth information and the Story being told thoroughly within every chapter, not even the manga can fully flush out everything.
and besides In my opinion, I find the Game Perfect and it shouldn't be made as an Anime. The Smaller the Community is , the safer and much enjoyable. I don't want it to become popular to a lot of people. i want it to be Some people's favourites because they have ventured through the game knowing every character in depth.
That's why I'd say they should just make an anime of second eruption. It's already a manga anyway.

The one thing you will feel after playing or knowing more story is that "YOU WILL HATE OTTO BUT STILL YOU WILL RESPECT HIM". Otto is really one of the best written character I've seen in any game or anime. He is actually evil and the fact which hits the most is that he KNOWS that he is evil. He had said/tried to show in a backstory that one person who hates Otto the most in this world is Otto himself.
Honkai is indeed a great game with really good story... You will love all characters and even if you hate characters like Otto but you will still respect him.

I think Genshin didn't have that depressing side like Honkai yet because we started our journey at a point after big war and a new war is about to go out soon.. It's a deep breath before the plunge, as Gandalf said.. While in Honkai, we are already in a middle of the conflict as soon as you start.. Genshin would probably have that after we reach Snezhnaya or Khaenri"ah..
