Hi all, thanks for checking out the Cricket. Just want to let you know I’m now selling it since I’ve finished my cross country trip from San Francisco. There’s a lot of interest in it already, so reach out soon! www.rvtrader.com/listing/2019-Taxa-CRICKET-5013848948/
Daniel, I appreciate it! This little car has been put through a lot but chugs along like a champ. Before I left SF, I was also carrying a roof tent on top of it, so we could do 4 person trips!
Nice little trailer. This definitely has some advantage over my casita, which is also a 2019 model. One being that cricket can be parked inside a regular garage. Want to trade with my casita? I can throw in some cash to even the deal.
@New Jersey Outdoor Adventures You give the best tours of the most interesting rigs. And such a variety, too! Also love the way you let the owners talk without interrupting them. I am really enjoying your videos!
I love it! What a treat, William. Thanks for sharing. I’d never heard of the Cricket. Now I’m a huge fan! Thanks, Patrick, on another job well done. You are so thorough with your videos and interviews. I love how you don’t interrupt your guests and save your questions and observations until the end. Another fine job! 😎✌🏻🤙🏻🤘🏻😎
The Nespresso coffee maker is my number one camping essential...before we got our trailer and we were tent camping, my husband installed an inverter in his truck so I could have my Nespresso every morning 🥰
Thanks Patrick, very nice design. Love the utilitarian design, all you need nothing you don't. Great for those that appreciate this is supposed to be camping after all. Another feature that is perhaps underestimated is the fact that you can just pull over and use the unit without popping it all up. We used to do this all the time with our 19' hybrid camper, pull off road use facilities, your own toilet, which is not disgusting. Also put family in it, make lunch , potty break for everyone and back on the road. Even slept in it closed up quite a bit, for a quick overnight and hit road early with no breakdown or anything. That unit may not be for everyone, but is very well thought out and kept simple and minimal, if my life had not grown, I'd be all in on a unit like that. Thank you Patrick, another winner.👍👍
Thanks for sharing this rig in response to viewer requests. Nice set up. Patrick, your video editing skills, use of inserts and music are top notch and help to streamline the tour. Thank you.
You know what if I had the money I would buy one of these in a heartbeat this is the best most compact camper I've ever seen it's got everything even the kitchen sink it is fantastic
I could totally live in that. I want to get a small travel trail to pull at my son’s house so i can be close to my grand babies without living in their home. I have triplets so i can pull this to either of their homes. Awesome. But i need a four season because I will live in it full time.
@@rrhopewell If you don't need a trailer, you could in principal buy a van converted into a tiny home. There are lots of them. They tend to be a little longer than trailers, but since you don't have a car, and are one piece, they're shorter overall.
Great video. Very cool. Thanks for wearing the 😷 we all got to look out for each other. That's what it means to be American. Keep up the cool videos Patrick really enjoy the channel. I wish i had the resources to do the van life thing. It's amazing 😊👍
I recently found your channel and I love it, which is saying a lot for a guy from Texas. It has occurred to me you seem to “ bump into” a lot of people. 😂
its looks ideal ! just one question, how tough is it to move by hand unhitched ? Like, can you unhitch it and push it into a lot by yourself ? thanks for the walkaround William
It’s definitely not air tight but you do notice the fan struggle if there not at least a bit of window open. Maybe Elon can launch the whole rig. To the moon!

It will sell right away
I appreciate the minimalist lifestyle and sensibility of using the car you already owned. No need for a new SUV. Well played!

Thank you very much. I am still a beginner with editing but it is fun
Wow what a rig! Industrial feel, design & engineered to a high standard. Strong, durable, practical, easy to use & light.
Very impressive 👍
Thank you 🙏🏼
Great little trailer. very efficient use of space. Thanks Patrick for another informative video.
You know what if I had the money I would buy one of these in a heartbeat this is the best most compact camper I've ever seen it's got everything even the kitchen sink it is fantastic
Still the best, the most efficient zero maintenance stored in the garage option out there.
Love it - just wish they made a true 4 season model (high R panels and thermally isolated aluminum frame).
Yes
Thank you for the detailed tour Patrick
You are welcome
Very cool design! Perfect for a small family 😊
thanks for the tour william great job

I don't think I'd get a pop top for something that was to be four season.
That’s true especially sense i get cold easy.

I really want a travel trailer with a bunk area for my grandkids. I have 10 grandkids. 6 of them are 8 and under.
Wow Patrick, your videos are really looking good. Great work!
Thank you very much
Love it. Wish I was 25 years younger lol.
Thank you for checking this out
Do it,no regrets
@@elisscaliving4776 ha!
It is rather utilitarian...but then again all you really need is a place to lay your head.
True
Great tour. Enjoyed watching. Have recently become interested in Taxa and this video hit a lot of spots with good info.
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you for checking it out
Hi Patrick🙋🏽♀️Sweet intro. Love this trailer
Thank you very much
Pretty cool digs. I like that setup.
Take a shot every time he says "Uhhh."
Cricket chirping at 18:30...
Clever design
Right near me, i live in west orange. I'm 5 minutes away from Eagle rock reservations
I recently found your channel and I love it, which is saying a lot for a guy from Texas. It has occurred to me you seem to “ bump into” a lot of people. 😂
great info on a small camper
Thank you very much
Love the plastic milk jug crates......you can really appreciate the NASA engineering.....
Thank you
Those are added. We had taken the faceplate off, used the shelf to create the table and then replaced it with milk crates which are way better.
Wow! That's all I can say. Wow! Love it!!
Glad you like it!
great overview. considered one but ended up with an airstream bambi. tough choice. hope it found a good home.
its looks ideal ! just one question, how tough is it to move by hand unhitched ? Like, can you unhitch it and push it into a lot by yourself ? thanks for the walkaround William
Very easy for one person to move on smooth surface and level grade
Yes, very easy for one person when level. Two people can get it up a bit of a grade even.
Just saw one today in Denver,CO.
Espetacular.... Show
Thank you very much. Please subscribe for more awesome van and RV conversions.
This video is almost like a time capsule now, the Cricket has changed a LOT, though most of the major features are the same.
Pretty cool to document
Are the kid berths usable with the top down or no?
I've been watching a ton of videos with these types of models. Do you have problems with water coming into the rv when camping?
Good question. He never mentioned it to me
Never any water issues and I’ve camped through several thunderstorms.
I like it easy to take care of well done
Thank you 😊
Yeah, I want my bed there at all times. I never know when I'll need a nap. Lol.

By the looks of the trailer I’d rather land on the moon with that than the lunar lander of the 1970’s. Trailer looks way way more structurally sound!
It’s definitely not air tight but you do notice the fan struggle if there not at least a bit of window open. Maybe Elon can launch the whole rig. To the moon!
Great idea
👍🏽👍🏽
These are neat but the price tag! Ouch!
So freakin cool!!
Thank you
I had a 2016 Taxa Tiger Moth it was a awesome unit.. There pretty pricey...
Define pricey...lol.
Thank you for sharing That
Yes but quality
My Honda CRV can only tow 1,500 lbs. Darn!!! I really like this Cricket!!
Bummer
Can definitely see that this was designed using CAD
True
Someone should tell that guy that canister is bearspray not bugspray. BIG difference.
Bear spray is not legal everywhere, we call it bug spray
Haha, yea I noticed that I said bug spray by mistake. Don’t worry, I know it’s bear spray.
I'm sorry but I'm not really too fond of a pop soft top any thing.. nice video
I like what I see
Thank you for checking it out
how much?
This sold for 30k days after the video

I was thinking John Krasinski
where is the bambi
Uh, uh, uh. Oh man! You guys should have done a run through before recording.
Crickets are really cool, but this video is driving me crazy.
What would you have done differently?
Nice. But I need toilet and shower and hardsides... thats what separates us from other animals.
There were so many “Uh” in this video I couldn’t watch it.
I'm sure you can do better. Where's your upload? I can't wait to see how perfect you are.....
Should I hold my breath or will I die waiting for you to do a better job?
NASA? Really?
Pretty cool
Ahhhh I take another auuuu. Suggest you do a voiceover this has way too many wordwiskers.
