    All you will need for this is two programs which are completely free to use! You will need to download Fusion 360 (which is competly free for personal use) and Ultimaker Cura.

    I want to thank you for this video. I was struggling with offsetting and building my sketch in Inkscape then moving to Fusion360 to extrude. I just wasn't having much luck. Your video showed me so much I was missing, including adding text to my cutters. The only problem I had was that my handle was on the wrong side, thus making my cutter backwards (it mattered as it wasn't symmetrical). This video even walked me through mirroring (though I used it to flip my sketch). Thank you so much!

    This video is very helpful! However, PLEASE don’t assume we know where all the controls are!!! When you do things like “make this bigger, hit enter” and “zoom in” and you don’t even breathe in between, some of us are going , “wait...wait..zoom in where? What did he click to zoom in? How did he make that bigger? Any time you click a control, assume you have new users watching who have never used this program before. ;-) That would be SO. Helpful! And also, so much better than having to stop and start the video 50 times to go back and try to hyperfocus trying to see what you clicked on.

    Thanks for the video! I come across a problem though. I import a .dxf file made with Illustrator. It imports it perfectly fine. But, when I want to off-set it won't let me on the exact numbers. I can drag the arrows till a line shows up, but sometimes that line isn't close to the numbers from the video at all. I Googled about it but I can't find a solution. Do you know what is going wrong and how I can resolve it?

    This is a very helpful video. Thank you. On my cutter design there was just one tiny gap eventhough I am using a 0.4mm nozzle as well. I had to go back and change the width to 0.6mm instead of 0.5mm. Does complexity of design have an impact? I was printing a more complex cookie cutter so I'm assuming that was the reason 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @lennns

    This video is SO helpful and I successfully made my first cutter! However, when trying my second I'm getting an error when doing the fillet the second time (inner rim): "The fillet/chamfer cannot be created at the selected size..." I've tried adjusting that edge a bit to smooth it out, widen the little gap, and only selecting that section. Nothing is working :( Any ideas?

    How thin can the walls be made on the cutter? I use metal cutters for a super sharp edge. I just purchased some 3D cutters and am not happy with the cut. It smashes down the edge of cookie and causes the dough to separate on the edges. Can 3D printer make a more thin edge like stainless stell??

    • @cookiecutterexperts5069
      @cookiecutterexperts5069  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question Lisa and unfortunately nothing will have a better cut than stainless steel! But 3d printed cookie cutters can get as thin as 0.2mm. We print all of our cutters at 0.4mm and our cuts come out pretty well on our end. Do you know what size the blade is for the cutters you ordered?

    Lol... this is waaay too time consuming.
    Just turn your image into an SVG, vectorial graphic.
    Import SVG into Fusion360 and remove the bits you don't wanna print, or just extrude only the walls.
    Or you could extrude it, and adjuat in your slicer (print walls only with 10 infills)
