    I'll just say this. I spent money on this game and even bought multiple month subscriptions. But now that TV is gone, this game is no different from PGR, Aether Gazer, even WuWa has better combat. The game lost all its charm, so I uninstalled it, and it's highly unlikely I'll ever play another Hoyo game after they betrayed players like me. Currently HSR is the only Hoyo game I play, probably won't play any future ones.

      Yes. It will be like Aether Gazer and many ARPGS like it. And it will be good for the game financially.

    tbh i only found tv mode fun in hollow zero. since you have a lot of choice and risk/reward as to how you complete objectives. story mode would benefit a lot if it just let you run wild in a semi randomized dungeon.

    • @ardyisdeniralg9147
      @ardyisdeniralg9147 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly. They should just implement the Hollow Zero gimmick in story mode so people would feel engaged in it, rather than feel being labored to it. Like, for example, adding nodes with buff so you can collect those buff to help you beat the enemies in story mode, or secret nodes to collect more dennies/ascend mats

    People complain about tv mode but they will notice how BOORING the game looks without it, it losed all it's charm and everything feels too fast, chapter 4 was great and I must admit it didn't need tv mode at all because of the context, but it still made the story mode way faster than the previous ones making it feel really short. When it ended I was like: Really? Is that it?
    The games just needs balance, there can be a mix between playstyles, like a hollow with a fully explorable section with many combats, and then a little bit of tv mode to move from one side to another, or they could just use tv mode for depending on wther or not the context need it, but removing it completely is too drastic, and it will kil the game completely. I love hollow zero becuase to me, it's the closest we are to the "peak" of the tv mode, requiring strategy and such, but they made THAT gamemode the weekly one and Shiyu is the other one, which can exhaust the players. I think a quarterly version of hollow zero would be the best way to address it... but yeah, the playerbase who hate the TV mode doesn't notice all of this and only wants the tv mode gone, making it harder for the devs to inprove it to it's perfection. Geez.

    • @LAGxSour
      @LAGxSour หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hoyoverse follows the numbers when they make changes. Clearly they saw a big drop off BECAUSE of the tv mode, hence their need to change in quickly. You're in the vocal minority that thinks TV mode is good. I myself and a group of friends quit soley because of the tv mode. It's just not fun. It's a terrible way to tell a story in a game and has 0 immersion. This is my opinion and you may disagree, which many will, but I'm part of the statistic that Hoyoverse needed to cater to quickly (dropping players).

    • @kr3533
      @kr3533 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@LAGxSour I disagree with some things in your comments the first one, nope, hoyo does not care about anything the playerbase has to say most of the time, Genshin has being receiving comments about many things since 4 years ago and devs haven't paid attention to anything no matter how simple it was until like version 4.7, the second one being, it's not a mayority, at most, it's like 30% of the playerbase, I've seeing more people liking it or being okay with it, than people complaining, an even the people who complain do not want it completely remove, just... not that exaggerated. Almost all conversations about ir go about the mode being too overwhelming and used unnecessarily rather than it being bad or good. Just bad executed.
      The 3rd thing being inmersion. Tell me, is there any better way to make the feeling of someone guiding remotely the characters through a big place? Doing it through screens and from a computer? Cuz that's literally what we are doing and even people who dislike it had said how it fits lorewise.
      I mean, I understand you don't like it, but people tend to say unrelated things about 1 specific aspect of a game bringing non-related things to the argument. I may not like the dating system but I won't say it's not inmersive just because it wasn't inmersive for me because I dislike it. That's my point. Obviously it won't be inmersive if for you, the system AS A WHOLE was a pain in the back-lower-side of the body.

      I would rather a short story be short instead of being padded with T.V. and actually having the same amount of story/content. The beginning of the game was so damn painful and the player drop off shows that. The majority of people who were interested in the game left due to the T.V.s even among the remaining players its not very much liked. I think Hoyo would have been fine leaving it as a more niche game like tears of themis but genshin and star rail revenue plummeted the patch immediately after ZZZ launched. You can say you like the T.V.s all you want but if the game doesnt make money it dies, even Hoyo is not immune.

  • @GhostEmblem
    @GhostEmblem หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    I think you're missing the point. Everyone loves pretty much everything else about the game but the people who like the t.v like the rest of the game and will stick around the people who dont like the t.v. have firmly proven that they will leave the game despite liking everything else. This is not a boycott situation where people complain and keep playing the game, the drop off is drastic. Most people here pushed through so they are either ambivalent or like it but the fact that the T.V. recall was met with such praise when it was announced speaks to the playerbases true feelings.
    Some of the T.V. missions are good but it is unequivocally my least favourite part of the game. If there is something you like less than the T.V.s meaning if you could you would permanently get rid of that gameplay mechanic instead to save the T.Vs then post it below (unfortunately you cant get rid of some things like the gacha or stamina). If not then you are hamstringing the game because you dont mind something that the majority of people dropped the game over.
    Is it possible to "fix" the T.Vs? Sure, but they had had 3 betas and a full release to try. They are only human, they couldn't do it.

    They were a waste of time and player who tried out the game and hated it was because of the TV system. They made a great choice of using it in modes that actually makes sense like the Hollow. If you guys think the TV system is what made this game good, and not wanting to get to the combat as the focus of the game, thinking that without it the game is boring, then maybe, just maybe, the game is boring to you. If you guys think this system is what made this game good, then this game would not last if they kept focusing on it, because most people thought it was a waste of time and it scared new players away. And I know how much Hoyo players like to gate keep, but that isn't a good thing if you want the game to last and keep growing. The sooner they got rid of that system the better, so that they can move on to building the game around the combat and more variety of sub modes like puzzles then the TV mode that was meant to do nothing but pad time. That's all this was and I have no idea why people defend it so hard. It's like those people that hate any change that happens within their game, even if it's for the betterment of it's future. The TV system was not a good system to focus the game around. Having side objectives in it was fine, but to do it for every single thing just to get to the combat was horrible game design.
    And people say, "well now it's just running from checkpoint to checkpoint and there's nothing to do" like this is their first live service game and they can't ever create a new better system to replace it and actually base the game on, again, the combat, actually using our characters we pull, and other side missions and minigames like puzzles. If you guys think this was a bad choice, you guys have no imagination to how this could make the game better in the future. This was absolutely a great choice for the game. For F sake, we spent more time looking at the TV system then playing the game as we progress through the chapters. And you guys expect new players ,or even players who stick with the game for a while, to stick with a game and pull for characters with a focus on a system that tries it's hardest to keep you away from actually playing and using those characters? Some common sense in the community please?

    • @fanglawliet4698
      @fanglawliet4698 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Your comment is so bad in so many nivels that it is even funny. You say that since it is a combat game it should focus only on combat, which if you have played other action games you will know that it is stupid, you know what Doom, DMC, What does Hi Fi rush have in common? which are combat games which have slower and louder sections to generate a rhythm, because and clearly you don't know it, a game that only has its combat becomes boring in the short and long term, just look at KH2, it is a game with a hilarious combat that lacks anything else and becomes boring for this very reason. Do you propose that we "have Imagination" but let's be realistic, can something else be done? There are three alternatives, the Puzzles, which were the TVs. Having platform sections seems like a good idea until you realize that ZZZ has very poor movement, you might think, why not include a dobe sato air dash jump etc. Why is it unfeasible, not only would we have to design entire new platform sections but also add new movement mechanics to all the characters and that is extremely expensive. And the exploration....the whole game happens in the hollows which are lore changing and unstable...well as a Persona fan I can say that if the TV seems tedious you are not ready for a "Tartarus"

    I’ve maintained an opinion about “TV mode” since launch that the only real mistake with it is that they mostly failed to create immersive environmental storytelling and the ability to feel like a navigator within the mode.
    Every stage is, “where am I? A sea of black screens.” This one aspect creates a dissonance between the combat and navigation and makes people bored. I for one, want to be able to tell I’m actually in a train station, a construction site, a haunted hotel, and the wastes of a desert. Alongside cute character interactions that feel like they’re breaking into the environment itself.
    Now there’s always going to be people who go “lol fight fight this supposed to be a combat game fight fight” but still.
