when i was watching this show, i was hoping they makes a parody of CSI. a scene while Lisbon and the others brushed off some finger prints and collecting evidence then Jane walks in like Horatio solve the case on the spot, put on his sunglasses and walks off towards the sunset. perfect.
CSI is so bad I can't watch it. People rarely, very, very, very rarely get caught based on evidence. They all tell on themselves. Dumbest thing ever. If you do something wrong, shut up and ask for your lawyer. Simple and yet it never happens. All of these people should have asked for a lawyer and then remained silent. No case.
Whoever played "Reed" (Thor guy) was a very good actor. Very appropriate facial and body expressions and voice. I hope he has done well in the business.
If you watch closely when he's leading Mandy, you can see him watching everyone else to see how they react as he moves her around. It's quite subtle but very well done.

Goes to show you the writers have never been to Texas, or they would have KNOWN. Honestly, I expect Cho adjusted the easiest to life in Texas.
Cho was definitely one of the best characters on the entire show, except for whatever travesty they injected with his relationship with Summer. You can tell they were going to inject Summer seriously into the show because at first she was competent, sassy, and self-assured, and most importantly, the other characters in the show liked her. As soon as it became apparent she wasn't a hit, they turned her into an idiotic train wreck junkie and everyone was questioning Cho's common sense. Awful way to handle that story beat, everything else about Cho worked.
@@bosshobo6022I also heard there's some kind of contract dispute or something, which make the story discontinued. But I'm glad it actually not work, Cho don't need such thing
If lisbon and patrick were assigned to the BROADCHURCH's case, the crime would have been solved in less than 1 episode with much more impressive mood. LOL!!!
That first scene was just an elaborate excuse to break a lot of shit. LOL Seeing that guy scrambling around and bumping into EVERY SINGLE breakable dish in the store must have been so cathartic and fun for the actors - especially the guy Jane identified as the murderer.

Hey, hope you see this even though it’s 5 months late. I would look up Paul Ekman and read some of his books - he is a psychologist who has spent his career studying facial expressions and emotions. His work inspired the TV series Lie to me, which is definitely worth a go too if you like the Mentalist (and the idea of lie detection). Paul Ekman has been criticised for not testing his theories on micro expressions thoroughly enough but it’s still really interesting and there seems to be a lot of truth to it. Good luck!

How would they know they're Californians?
@@gustavolopes5094 We Texans know.
@@bosshobo6022I also heard there's some kind of contract dispute or something, which make the story discontinued. But I'm glad it actually not work, Cho don't need such thing
We enjoyed watching that show at our home. It was well written and well played.
If lisbon and patrick were assigned to the BROADCHURCH's case, the crime would have been solved in less than 1 episode with much more impressive mood. LOL!!!
It’s a shame he couldn’t solve a way to fool the police alcohol breath test recently 😂
And that my children is why we all searched for this in the 1st place
i love how invested everyone else was at the end of first case
at 4:07 the stuntman better be getting a bonus lol
The music in this series is great.
The moment I noticed him fitting the role of a butler, I knew he's the killer.
It's always the butler.
Shame this show didn’t last a LOT longer. Nothing shown now comes remotely near to it.
i so miss the mentalist, they dont make such series now adays
My show, best show EVER, I watched over 100 times
Love you patrick jane. 😍
That first scene was just an elaborate excuse to break a lot of shit. LOL Seeing that guy scrambling around and bumping into EVERY SINGLE breakable dish in the store must have been so cathartic and fun for the actors - especially the guy Jane identified as the murderer.
i miss this show so much
can you recommend some series like The Mentalist?
@patrick jane yes! i rewatch it regularly :P
@@transfercanlar5420 'burn notice' is really good. hes a burnt spy ex-cia though not a mentalist or anything but he uses similar tactics and smarts to solve cases
lucifer
lie to me is amazing and is similar, except he's a body language expert. unfortunately it only has one season tho
monk is good too he's a detective with OCD but is able to solve cases through his unique view of the world.
but yeah as far as the mentalist goes nothing comes close, though out of those i'd say give burn notice a watch i think you'll like it if you like the mentalist :)
I miss this series, one of the best.
Anyone have any ideas as to how I can read body language and emotions? Because I really find this interesting and would like to use it in my life. Thanks.
Good luck!
TH-cam search Vanessa Van Edwards and Charisma on Command. They're both educational about body language and emotions, but also not boring. :)
This is a fictional tv show.
@@musicalman1995 a well-researched fictional tv show
