A top-ten ranked fighter in the welterweight division, Cerrone has earned the most bonus payments for outstanding performances of anyone in UFC/WEC history (18 and counting). Known as “Cowboy” because he lives on a ranch, wears wide-brimmed hats, and used to ride bulls in rodeos, the former pro kickboxer is a member of the legendary Jackson Wink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Cerrone has challenged for world titles on four different occasions, and boasts wins over Rick Story, Patrick Cote, and Alex Oliveira. Before moving up to welterweight in 2016, Cerrone was a high-ranking lightweight, defeating Benson Henderson, Myles Jury, and Melvin Guillard. Known for taking fights on short notice just for the thrill, Cerrone is regarded as the “busiest” fighter in the UFC. He’s had at least four fights per year since 2013, adding to his reputation as a fan favorite who will fight anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Outside of the cage, Cerrone has appeared on television shows such as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the new Netflix series, Godless, co-starring Jeff Daniels and former UFC contender Keith Jardine.

Inspiring as fuck. Everything he does, he goes all in. You can see by all the things he is able to do, he's never stopped to veg. Doesn't strike me as the kinda guy who binge watches youtube, he's too busy learning how to do a backflip on a quad or how to navigate a squirrel suit or something, in between fighting in the top ranks at the highest level on Earth. I gotta up my game!

I had no idea Cowboy rocked a feather in his cowboy hat when I started doing it, I honestly thought I had started that trend. Either way I love his hybrid swag, it is literally the same as mine, mixing Cowboys and Indians together. His childhood and relationship with his grandmother definitely reminds me of mine. His work career and his ranch reminds me of my past and future, being that I have 5 acres in Colorado I have not yet been able to build on, but the vision is similar. Watching this video literally felt like it was talking right to me! I am now a die hard Cowboy fan, and I'm not afraid to say I love you Cowboy Cerrone! One day we will meet, and I will be honored to do so.
