I've used Notion for the past two years to organize my entire life as an artist, youtuber/content creator, small art business owner, and human. It's an insanely powerful all-in-one productivity tool that can change your life.

Me too! Notion has literally changed the way I organise my life. May I ask how you use Notion to track your study progress of languages? I’m wanting to study Japanese in free time and have thought about journaling in Notion, but I’m still unsure how to unpack the potential of this software for learning. Love your videos on how you use Notion! It's given me a lot of ideas on how I can customize it to suit my content creation needs, I mainly focus on TH-cam and Patreon for planning things. I find making posts for Instagram requires less planning for me personally. I went down a rabbit hole the past 2 days, learning so much about Notion and I finally feel comfortable making my own complete dashboard!

Notion was kind of the final piece I needed to feel prepared enough to start my TH-cam, and your templates made it sooo much better. Thank you so much for introducing me to it & making it more accessible with your design. I spent years trying to get organized with things like planners and bullet journals but not being able to move things around after I put them down made my brain just shut down, because as someone with ADHD & autism I needed something that was very structured but very flexible. I wish I had had notion when I was in school!

Ooh, I love the use of the board view for the different, like, "genres" of video you want to make-- that's genius! Notion has been sooooo nice for my past few semesters in school as well for planning and holding bigger project ideas, so seeing how you set it up and use it is great!

I’ve used Notion for a little while now and this was the best and most simple explanation of databases I’ve seen yet. I kinda dived in at the beginning and it ended up being and looking clunky. In the last couple of months have been working on cleaning up my dashboards (I find I really like them to be aesthetically pleasing) and your video will help. They have given the “real world” inspiration that I can do this. The best part it’s coming from someone that is still learning an growing, in your career as artist. The videos I enjoy the most? Breaking down the “business” of being a career artist. Nobody talks about this. I also enjoy your process of being self taught artist, finding the mix of the boring stuff an fun stuff, to keep yourself moving forward. Awesome. Omg thank you so much for this! I've been searching for Notion tutorials, but I wasn't feeling it was my thing... until I found your explanation. I'm also an multiartist who wants to be a creator and have a chaotic brain with thousand of ideas per day to juggle with, so I'm in awe with the possibilities of this platform... I was using a lot of different ones - plus sidenotes on notebooks (that I never know where to find later and was going crazy through it lol). At first it seemed kinda complex to me, but you made it feel simple and even fun!
After I discovered Notion through your page, I use it every single day to everything from planning grocery shopping to anything art related. I can’t help myself. I’m addicted and it’s wonderful 😂

This is incredibly helpful, i love using a planner to organise myself but this seems even way more helpful too because you can link websites and things like that.
wow.. Your notion skills are on another level. I was debating if it was worth spending some time really mastering how to use it; now I'm convinced. By the way, I use Notion to track every single book I read and use it to remind me of stuff from those books. It's a really cool system to remember every book you read. Your videos are helping me a lot in organizing what i want to do! I think weekly I may write what I want to get done and block off times to address different tasks but I'm not going to schedule each task daily to avoid feeling stressed by scheduling :))

I just joined the discord server and started searching for the template for the DIY art school and I found it! I'm excited about that video. As someone who is doing DIY art school and also uses NMA, it would be great to see how you go about studying art on your own. Oh my gosh! I have been dreaming of a way to organize my entire life that excel/Google sheets just wasn't able to do. I am definitely going to be spending copious hours filling in all of the stuff I have scattered across like 7 different apps!
I think I'll definitely use Notion in the near future. I currently use Hive which is fairly simple and easy for me to understand. Notion is the long-term though, I think. There's just too many options for me so I get a little overwhelmed by it. But videos like this help!

Girl, where have you been all my life?! ❤❤❤ I am selling my first painting next month and am planning on buying your bundle with the profit. Your content is golden. I am a busy homeschooling mom of 4 kids and just restarted my art business. My website is just about done and I am stepping away from portrait commissions and moving to my own body of oil paintings (which I am still working on). I am in the beginning stage of creating content to try and promote my own work and it seemed overwhelming until I found you. Naptime is only so long for me to work on art, so I need everything else to be as simple as possible lol. I'm about to join your discord as well! I guess I just wanted to say hi since I've been bingewatching all your content since I found you yesterday. Good for you paving your way as a young artist. I'm 34 and only just now accepting my calling to the art field I wish I would've answered, and taken seriously, 20 years ago when I sold my first piece of art in 9th grade. I went to business school instead... I never believed I could support myself realistically with art, and that's a dream I've had since I was a little girl growing up with a single mom in art school who literally became an art teacher. 😅I guess I just wanted something more traditional or "stable" and I did not like sitting at a desk all day running someone else's business... but I guess it's never too late! I use the mobile version to reference video scripts when filming and stuff but I don't spend too much time on my phone compared to my computer!

it's an Elgato Wave:1 and I do a bit of post production audio engineering in Descript, where I usually do the rough cuts of my edit.

I bought your workbook and notion template package. I’d never used notion before buying your package. It was super easy to figure out how to use, I can’t recommend Kelsey’s package enough, so if you’ve been sitting on the fence about buying it, I personally recommended it!

I once heard that notion can also be used as a website or portfolio. Is that true?
Personally, i find that notion (as someone with ADHD) is a bit too complicated and has *too* many features for what i personally need it to do. I do understand notion is quite the valuable tool for MANY creators, but certainly not for me. Thank you so SO much for your videos though, they are quite informational and i enjoy watching through each one!

Working with the phone app ( so the layout is clunky) and you can get so lost in all the choices. Its good to write down what u want from the app or what info you want in one place then work from there.
Hello! I actually had a comment about one of your other videos I just saw today but thought I would post here since it was a more recent video and the chance you might see it would be higher? It's about the 5 ways you make money video. I was curious roughly what you hourly work week was like. I guess more of an estimate on total work hours for the week since I'm sure your schedule doesn't align with an 8-5 sort of situation. Hopefully my phrasing makes sense. Currently I'm at a mobile studio working roughly 40 - 50 hours per week so I was mostly just curious for comparison sake. It was a super informative video so I guess I was curious about that aspect of it. Thanks for videos! and I apologize if you have mentioned it before, I just saw the video today so was going to check out a few more a little later on this week.
Hey Eric! My work week is actually very balanced. My whole life was thrown into disarray with my recent move but I generally work 4-5 days a week for about 6-10 hours a day, I'd say. That includes filming videos, planning content, scripting, editing, making art, answering emails and comments, etc. It might sound like a lot but it's fairly relaxing, I often have tv shows or TH-cam videos playing in the background, so it's not like I'm hustling all the time. It's a super relaxing environment and I often take a week off here and there to just focus on art, or to just relax.
I could actually be way more productive with my time, not add any additional hours, and earn $3k more a month if I was willing to take on more sponsorship deals.

it’s a database and then other instances of it are linked databases!
