He finally runs through the line!
😊
Word lol
My man finally stopped finishing like a buffoon
He's going to win the 100m and 200m at the Olympics. Close to the records
I thought I was the only one who noticed that too. Smh.
He surpassed what the 400m world record holder did in his prime. He surpassed the previous world recorder in the 400m. He surpassed the fastest Man of all time over the 200m. He's looking dangerous. Very dangerous.
He haven't surpass Bolt in the 200m
@@Eastsidecrime talking about Bolt in the 300m
@@Yes_I_c4n 300m is far more relevant to the 200m than a marathon people who are good at 200m usually are good at 300m
Also Tebogo is a 200m runner like Bolt
@@Yes_I_c4n it's not a crime to admit you didn't understand or admit you misinterpreted my comment.
@@RANDOMZBOSSMAN1 bro said “He surpassed the fastest man of all time over the 200m” 💀
Such an odd runner. His technique looks more like a 1500m runner yet he’s covering the ground at the speed of a sprinter. It’s so crazy.
I was thinking the same thing. He’s all posterior chain, relatively low knee lift. Makes you think re think sprint mechanics.
I have always thought I was the only one seeing this....he appears to be jogging even in his fastest speed...If he ran alone youd not think he is very fast

@@mompolokikgosiemang9215I know another runner like him Larry James Villanova Olympics silver medallist appears to be floating.
@@zofmy5053sick you are!!!!!
He's found his secret weapon: not having anyone close enough to him in the race to turn around and taunt.
roids
He might the first male athlete in a very long time that could genuinely be a threat for medals in all 3 sprint events of 100/200/400
He has truly arrived with this WR can’t wait to see what he can do in the 100/200 and 400
i dont think its practical to do all 3 races
not for 100
Tobago's best 100m is 9.88. That is light years from the world record of 9.58.
@@paulclarke7571 nobody said WR of 100, just excited for the potential :)
@@takeyourtime3328 The men’s 100m is inconsistent right now and he’s only getting better as well
He can very much win medals in the 100m
He’s gotten stronger and he’s finally running through the line 🗣️‼️
This year, 2024 Tebogo will go 19.24. On counting his ability, he is the deal. Go for it, boy. I pray you stay healthy and strong.
No, I don‘t think so.
But I am quite convinced that in the next 5 years the WR will be broken, either Lyles, Tebogo or Knighton.
I think he can go sub 43 in the 400m as well. Will take time though.. but he has the potential.
@@sandyjr5225he's probably in sub 43.5 form already.
@@Lotschi not knighton...he is overrated
@@fin2-em2mf the times speak for him, the Performance in the big events aswell.
Why do you think he‘s overrated?
Imagine being in the same company as Wade, Michael, and Usain. Great company to be in, and ahead of.
Unreal. This kid is going to be a problem for Lyles. 30.69 is insane. Get ready for world records
What you said initially was pretty vague and I took it to mean they participate in different events. My bad.
He is great for the sport. Definitely gives the Americans plenty to think about.
Don’t think he gets out fast enough to win the 100. Lyles gets out much faster and that’s not his forte either. 200/400 double could be his thing. He can get closer to Lyles in the 200 this year. He could maybe win the 400 if his training was focused on it.
@@sinking1902 keep in mind usain bolt also onky realy started to accelerate the last 40 metres so you cant say that hes is in super shape and i hope he humble lyles with his wierd taste in dressing up
Just from that i think Tebogo > everyone.
This is not just a one hit wonder.
he has the smoothest and most effortless sprinter Ive ever seen. Bro is gonna break more WR
I'm pretty sure he is doing 400m training and I wouldn't be surprised if we see him run it this year ,he is going to he a complete sprinter 👌🏾African Gem💫🇧🇼
African Gem baba
Looks like worlds last year humbled him and he’s learning to run thru the line.
More like given him, more confidence
There is always something your kind has to say.
Haha, maybe.
Of he just is not too focused about making headlines with good performance and only turns on the jets when it really matters.
Lol humbled him?? Did you listen to his interviews, the worlds were just for him to enjoy and see how he performs in the double and how his body would react. Trust me going forward the kid in him is out and he now focused on being among the best
He is just growing up that's all.
Happens to everyone
Last year he gave me the "2007 Bolt" feeling.... very fast but just on the presuppose of becoming Ridiculous.
Now he does this in early 2024... 🤔
Idk, but the 200m title is most definitely up for grabs. Idk if Lyles will get any faster then his already Blazing speed... but Tebogo will CERTAINLY be improving at this rate. Makes very exciting as a Track fan.
Breaking the record so early in the season and also his age , that is SCARY!!!!!!
Wishing this young guy the best!! Him and Lyles going forward should be fun to watch.
Hope he beats Lyles, which he might soon.
That is what makes sports interesting
I think he is the most complete sprinter there ever has been. It does not feel like he is even trying. Never felt that about someone since a certain someone who shall not be named.
He’s the future been saying this since the first time I seen how effortlessly he runs
At just 20 years, tebogo is the 300m record holder already ?
At 16 years old Usain Bolt ran the 400m in 45.35 and without carbon shoes!
So?@@AmadHICHAMI
@@AmadHICHAMI He ran 45 when he's 15
Not just record holder but World record holder ❤
to be fair, the 300 isn't as popular as 100/200/400 so it's a big reason why. still impressive though
This guy can do the triple!!
I truly believe he can win gold in all 3 events this Olympics.
This guy is going to get atleast 1 gold medal
Every since he JOGGED that 31.54 last year, I couldn't stop thinking about that What If? So happy he finally ran through the line and fulfilled his ever growing potential in this event😭
He can be the first to go sub 43 in the 400m, and he's also a legitimate threat to Bolt's 200m record.
Can you see him transferring this to both? I agree on the 400m, but not so sure about the 200m
He’s a wr threat for every sprint event, this guy is something that we’ve never seen before.
@@rflgeneral you must started watching track and field today??
Legitimate threat? This guy is faster than Bolt
30 seconds at 300metres that was sub 41 pace lol
Finally matured and living up to his potentials. We going for the 200 next. I love Bolt but this kid is fire. Too young for what he's doing. He hasn't even reached his prime and has World record already.
Definitely helps to spice things up even more in both 100/200m which is great! Would love Botswana who've got a very good M4x4 to get to the Final healthy in Paris so that Tebogo can run the Anchor Leg :)
If only Makwala was still in his prime that would have be a very dangerous 4x400 team
@@RANDOMZBOSSMAN1 Prime Makwala would've been amazing on the same team 4x4 with Tebogo but they currently have 4 other guys who're still in their early-to-mid 20s who've run between 44.58 - 44.82. If fit, they can contend for at least a 4x4 Bronze Medal in Paris!
@@aodoemela nah Prime Makwala ran 43.72 and was the 6th fastest 400m runner at that time
He also ran a 19.76 in the 200m
What's also interesting is that the current 200m WR of 19.19, held by Usain Bolt, converts to a 300m time of 30.7... basically an identical time to Tobogo's new WR!
Even if these conversions are messy, it's pretty clear that Tebogo could have WR Potential heading into the near future.
this dude has 42.8 in the 400 written all over him. this world record looked like a casual stroll.
The way he was just floating it makes me think he could carry that to sub :43 for the 400 someday
It's time for him to look at that 400
He needs to focus on breaking usain bolt 200m record.
He finally runs through the line lol
Because he had come to specifically break the 300m WR lol so he had an agenda
@@tondetanditonny802Good point.
His relaxed running form is amazing!!
his style of running reminds me a lot of a combination of Michael Johnson and Usain Bolt, the rigid back of Johnson and flowing style of Bolt, both were awesome athletes and he is also an awesome athlete at such a young age, cant wait to see what happens in the rest of the season and the Olympics
We all wondered what he could do if he would just run through the line.... congrats young man. I hope he has grown up and will continue to strive for greatness because he's special!
amazing talent, based on this surely he can threaten the 400m WR
He never said that he *would* , only that he *could* , genius. And he could absolutely threaten the 400m world record. He's just beaten Van Niekerk's world record that he set in one of his best events whilst in his prime. Yes, 300 and 400m are different events, but there's a reason why former 400m runners also held the 300m world record. I'm not even sure Tebogo will ever even run the 400m again, but if he ever switches from the 100-200 to the 200-400, and focuses on it a lot more, I wouldn't count him out. Especially the way in which he closed that final 100. It'd be interesting to know the splits for that race because he was motoring! @@Yes_I_c4n
@@Yes_I_c4n Why? Have all the rest of the fastest 300m runners had slow 400m? Oh no, they are the fastest in history. You're clueless.
The 400 requires quite a bit of training 43 flat is no joke!!
He beat the WR on the same track that Michael Johnson set it previously
oh, nice funfact!
30.69 is something to be feared. I would not at all be surprised if he ran 9.7 and 19.3 this year. He's clearly a level above even what he was last year. Noah is very fast, but I think Tebogo has more upside than any other sprinter in the world right now. In regards to his relaxed running and seemingly limitless potential, I think his running reminds me of Bolt's early years more than anyone else.
Not taking anything away from Bolt but I posted that this kid is great much smoother than Bolt.
@@newtonpeart8573 I agree. Tebogo is also running faster for his age than even Bolt did. Bolt didn't break any world records at 20. The last talent this promising at this age that I can remember is probably Yohan Blake, who, if he didn't blow up his hamstring, I think would have broken at least one Bolt record. Knighton is obviously very promising as well, but mostly just in one event, whereas Tebogo's potential feel almost limitless in any sprint event that he chooses.
Peoria Africa is 4500 ft above sea level...
@@sinsin1697 So all African professional sprinters should have to travel to another continent to be able to run anything that won't immediately be disqualified as far as impressing the world is concerned? Gaborone, Pretoria, Nairobi. All the big meets in Africa are at altitude. That doesn't mean none of the athletes in those meets should be taken seriously. With or without altitude, 30.69 is extremely impressive.
I just wan to give you credit for uploading that quickly. I didn‘t even see an article on the news websites I regularly visit.
I find it interesting to see in the video how he starts the first half with very beautiful strides but towards the end his steps become smaller and smaller due to lactate. I find it very interesting to witness what happens when he runs a longer distance than he usually does.
Can't wait to see his cool celebration when he beats lyles and knighton in 2024
You'll never see it
The celebration is coming soon. He is finishing lyles this season.
@@jungele8441good prediction
@@Adrenalean767😂😂😂😂😂
Tebogo is back! And now he is running until the finish line
Been waiting for you to cover this one
He can improve for another 4 years or more, same for Knighton. I suspect Lyles is at his peak. Tebogo and Knighton will be the top 2 in the 200 in the next Olympics with Lyles at 3rd is my prediction! Congrats to Tebogo on the 30.69 300m WORLD RECORD! I suspect he can get close to or maybe even break the 400 meter record with that kind of sprinting stamina! Only the Greatest of ALL TIME under 31 seconds in the 300!
The 100-400m distances are going to be bonkers at the Olympics. Fingers crossed all the top athletes stay injury free.
Saw it live…greatest sprinting I’ve seen in my life
He makes it look so easy. He has all the physical gifts.
That 200 is gonna be juicy!!! And the 100
My guy is improving every year
Can't wait for Tebogo to show the world his real talent, he's been building, building, building. In 2024 we will see something special from him IF !!!!! he can handle the pressure between his ears. The talent is there, is the mental game when the heat is well and truly on.
Relaxation is next level.
Tebogo in Paris gonna be🔥🔥🔥
Congrats Tebogo. Eyes set on the olympics! I wish you the best.❤
He runs so effortlessly and could continue coasting to break the 400m world record!
Botswana super hero yes you did it keep it up 👍
Imagine not running alone but having somebody else pushing him even more
I knew he could do it!!
2:02 lol
right?? so random
He will win the 200m against Noah! He’s the future… it’s been noticeable since last years WCs
He didn't break it he destroyed it
He is in really rare company - everyone of the other sprinters who have ducked under 31 seconds for the 300m are all present or former (Johnson) world record holders.
Hoping to see some serious competition at the Paris Olympics this year!
The monster has awaken
His running form is just too good. We all can learn from this.
We must forget to force a front side mechanic dominant running style.
Tebogos style is the most elastic/effortless . And it's not frontside dominant! It's how the human body/his body is designed to run.
It's no coincidence that Tebogos style is so similar to Michael Johnsons style! Just a bit more stride length dominant.
Haha! I told you guys to pay attention but you all looking at Noah, like I said for Noah to win another 100m it means he got to PB again at the very least, the 200 while it’s his baby the youngsters are chomping at the bit! One thing is for sure, he won’t be holding up 3 fingers in Paris! I don’t see it and I said it before this!
I think Leslie Tebogo might break Bolt 's record on 200 .in next 3 years.
Bolt's 200m record is in jeopardy! Lyles & Tebogo! Gonna be great to watch.
I know Lyles is the one getting all the hype pre-Olympics. But watch out. This kid knows he's in WR shape. He's gonna go for it.
In 2023 he ran an olympic qualification time in 400m and he wasn't even being serious. It seems like he is coming for every individual record.
This race has shown to me that Tebogo has the potential to break 43 seconds for 400 metres. Don't get me wrong; this would not be easy and he would have to begin to train specifically for the 400, but the speed endurance is there. What an incredible talent he is.
Currently my favourite athlete
Break them records when you have a chance and ability to do so , i believe he can lower the 200m
Getting bald is a new way to achieve extreme performance, Asafa approved this information.
omg finally new world record for track i was waiitng for this
I have missed you alot @total running. Welcome back
Amazing
It's a shame that Usain Bolt didn't attempt the 300m again. I would even say it's a shame that he left the 400m aside, especially when we know that at 16 he ran it in 45.35 seconds. In my opinion if he would have trained more over 400 meters he could have beaten the world record, whether over 400 or 300. And also I add to this that Tebogo unlike the others used the carbon VaporFly, with his shoes believe me, you are faster
About two years ago, Tebogo took 3rd in a race (can't remember which one), and I made a comment saying that the real story in that race was Tebogo. Everyone in the comments blasted me for not giving credit to the two people who beat him. I said it then, and I'm saying it again now. This kid is a beast.
Anyone that follows track knows he is a beast. Nice to see him focus on running the entire race and not show boating.
@@fatfredthe28th I agree. It was obvious back then that the people talking trash to my comment were not true track fans. Anyone who truly loves the sport could see years ago that this kid was something VERY special.
Accidentally realizes that the 400m may ACTUALLY be his event
The guy is a 100m U20 world record holder, the 6th fastest 200m runner in history, 300m world record holder, and a sub-45 400m runner simultaneously at just 20 years old.😂

The Olympic 100, 200 and 400 are going to be amazing

Tebogos elbows seem to move more narrow than the other.
Van Niekerks upright head position and low shoulders is very nice. Most estetic form in history of running
Dang he could be a real contender in 400m to!!!!!!
His start was fire.
He is back?
Wow, I thought Knighton was the next top up and comer but it appears to be Letsile!
Letsile Tebogo is to Noah Lyles as Josh Kerr is to Jakob Ingebrigsten right now.
Lyles is clearly the favorite in the sprints and Jakob in the middle distance events, but both most definitely better watch their backs in the coming months. 👀
