I’m near Ft. Laud FL & went to Montego Bay in 09 on my honeymoon & fell in love w it. The land, the culture, the people 🥹❤️🔥I’m now divorced & watching videos bc I would love to move to an island to continue healing more natural & I’ve thought about moving there but seeing this makes me think it would bring back too many memories. Thank you for sharing this beautiful culture. Beautiful people in every way. I’d just feel safe here. It’s a soul thing. Ahh the carvings are so amazing, I saved a few from my trip. So special!! I have a heart ♥️ just like that. I feel that too when you say support the local economy…the whole world should live like this everyone would be happier here too, everyone needs to go to another country to see what life is supposed to be like. I was also in Ocho Rios, Dunn River falls, Green grotto caves, Kingston etc.
Its so cool that after the Alice and the bucket saga that David is still able to look beyond that and see Jamaica for what she truly is,. I am truly impressed with the authenticity of his content. Well done David, you are showing how awesome the country is. I am not a writer but I had to say this.💯 and I am tuning in all the time for new content.
Man i need to go to Jamaica one day and experience their food and culture myself. Thanks so much David for showing so many amazing destinations. The Caribbean is such a lovely part of the world.
You definitely need to Brandon. Great to see you here too. Hope you have a really great new year, and totally agreed the Caribbean is an amazing place!
@Davidsbeenhere You look like you had a blast. Also, their wood carvings are amazing. Happy New Year to you, David. All the best to yourself and your family 👍🙏❤️
@Melissa-cn5hx That's cool. The people do seem very friendly and kind, I've noticed. Hopefully I might go there one day. That's if I get a chance. It won't be my first destination though. I'll probably want to go to Ireland first and all around the UK. Most of my family is there.
Beautiful Video David, This will be my Favorite video for the new year, I think I will have to watch this once a week. I love the conversations with the locals bringing to light the struggles in Jamaica and the different view on Jamaica based on their lifestyle. So many of our locals are suffering and all the opportunities are given to those who don't look like us. I love my country, I pray for change one day soon.
I seriously love your sense of humor David. You did not let one bad experience deter you from coming back and exploring our beautiful island and people. You explored my city and it was absolutely beautiful to see it through eyes. Thank you. Do come again, you are always welcome.
I’ve been coming to Jamaica since 1999. Thank you for going into downtown as well as the craft market showing the warmth and vibrance of the Jamaican people. I hope your video encourages more Americans to get off resort and experience the culture. I makes me happy to see money going into vendors pockets. They work hard . Bless up
They handle things so clean and visibly clean. Unlike some countries. Thats what you want to see especially when people handle and prepare your food. How are you not fat? You enjoy your food for sure and pack it in.
David, this Jamaican tour has been one of your best brother. Visiting the kosher restaurant and the Indian were also mind blowing and unexpected obviously goes without saying is the Jamaican food looked outstanding .Plus being from the UK and also visiting Israel means you have tried all my favourite foods. Love the content.
Thank you so much for saying that. I really appreciate it and I tried my best to really explore the lesser known communities, because I'm planning to return to Jamaica many more times and try to tell the stories of as many people as I can. Jamaican food is incredible! Tons of UK videos are currently being released on my channel so definitely check those out too. Thanks again Christie!
Love love love Jamaica! Been there 13 times. Would so love to go again but health issues don't allow. Wonderful people. Greatest of times. The licals are priceless! Go and mingle! Irie!
You really are an amazing foodie David, the way you incorporate culture, history, so many different countries and then the foooood! Wow! Such a pleasure as a viewer to watch and experience with you, thank you 🙏
Great to see you here Renay and thank you for the consistent and amazing support. You are so kind. Have a great New Year and its an honor to have you here along for the journey. See you in 2024!
I was eating here in November 2023 and I can tell you that jerk chickens are so delish...i travel from Australia to Jamaica every 2nd year, love the food and the place
I am not sure why many Jamaican craft sellers are not selling on Ebay or Amazon as well as having a small TH-cam channel to help inspire travelers from else where to come shop there
Cuz they be doing too much like we not in a hole like them took us a lot to save to get out there Dave my mans love watching his videos listen to his mid videos
y'all have no actual idea how capitalism has ravished these countries but keep believing the propaganda. 😂 The Jamaican people are doing the best with what they have despite colonial rule and western interference. Sugar cane. Bauxite. Tourism. Chinese debts for infrastructure that doesn't benefit the people. Go learn something today.
When I lived in Toronto Canada I had known many fine Jamaicans since I was very young in the 1960s. However in western Canada Jamaicans are rare here, yes some her Mon but not many I love the food and would always go to Alberts Jamaican restaurant and take out in Toronto such excellent food. One day I want to visit Jamaica
I'm from Toronto, Scarborough. My neighborhood I grew up in was all Jamaicans. I learned so much from cooking and eating the foods. The best food honestly. Still eat jerk once a week. Moved out west 15 years ago and now 40 years old. Alwa6s wanted to open up a jerk shop out here on Vancouver island.
Anato is also known as Roucou David. If you been to Uncle Clyde in Paramin when you were in Trinidad he more than likely would have introduced you to that. He uses that regularly in his dishes.
Does your driver (tour guide) have contact information? As mentioned in my previous comment, I will be in Jamacia in April. I would love to book a tour with him.

David did you know diplo (music producer ) with 2.5 mil subs on TH-cam has his own music studio in Jamaica? Westmorland I’ve seen him all the time on a jet ski and the first ever James Bond was created and hosted in Jamaica back in the day and the last one as scenes in Jamaica

Really enjoyed all your features. I am heading to Jamaica in two weeks and definitely going to see Bob Marley's resting place. I have been to the museum in Kingston, but I can't say I knew about his resting place. I also thought his Mom was alive. I thought I saw her at the preview of the movie. Bottom line, I am behind the power curve on the latest in my homeland. Thanks for catching me up.
Hello David watching you from Phoenix Arizona. Enjoy all your travels all the places and different types of foods that you show. I have a question for you're always eating and you're never and do you ever get constipated from eating so much food.
I'm going to be in Jamacia in April. Are you getting your crafts delivered to the U.S. I want to get one of those smoking heads (to large to bring on the plane). What are the hours of that craft shop? I think that will be the first stop once we leave the airport.

The KFC in Trinidad and Jamaica is the best. 😋😋 Recently had some in Ecuador and it was just like the USA 😖 Didn’t try them when I was in Guyana. Too busy hunting down pepper sauces there 😋😋😋😋
Next time you visit the Jewish restaurant, please ask him not to misrepresent our colors Black, Green and Gold. Black is NOT for the problems. It is for the people. We recognize that we are diverse in Jamaica. Out of many one people. My family history is from his homeland but I would never deny the African history that is mixed up in our blood.
You didn't go to Shades? IYKYK I can't believe you were there for an entire week and never escaped the tourist trap. We may retire to Ochie. The best people in the world!

Unbiased opinion growing up in jamaica it is shocking how sweet american watermelon is. Yall must have genetically modified that but it is addictive. Watermelon is still loved in jamaica though. The pineapple melon used to be my favorite there

You have to have the patty with the cocoa bread. Reminds me of getting them in New York when I used to live there.
Jamaican patties are like Cornish pasties in England - - The Jamaican patty is a derivative of the Cornish pasty - a baked pastry filled with meat or vegetables. The Cornish pasty was brought to the Caribbean by British colonists and was enhanced by by the African and Indian people of the Caribbean.
Great to see you here again.
