      I think most x jets pull a 4 to 1 ratio so if you you had 12.5% chlorine at a 50/50 mix already that would put you at a 6.25% solution and after it went through your xjet that would put you at a 1.5% chemical being applied to the house.

      @@kingofpressurewash thank you. I'll be doing the cheaper version of the mixing valve. So I might as well do all three valves since, doing 2 vs. 3 valves will only save me about 30 bucks or so. One more question tho and I'll leave you alone...can you use high pressure hose reels for regular garden hoses and softwash hoses? Thanks

    Hi. I'm just starting my PW business. I would like to know if there's a way to measure how much SH to water ratio when you're trying to do a certain percentage? Thanks for your informative video.

      Divide, the percentage you want by the percentage strength of the bleach. Remember chemical injectors inject at a 4:1 ratio. So if you fill your tank all the way with 10 percent chlorine from home Depot and you use a chemical injector you will have 2 percent strength bleach coming out of the pressure washer. If you want it to be stronger, you need to use a softwash system.

    I'm brand new to ALL of this, so please bear with me. I "assume" your pre treating the surfaces with the SH and that's the percentages you're giving. So, are you using a different hose to put the SH on and how do you know how to figure out the percentages? Example: If you do a roof at 6%, do you fill a "jug" with water and then calculate how much of the SH to add to the water, to get the 6%? Thanks in advance.

      Down streaming comes out at a 5:1 ratio I’ve been told. So 12.5 in a bucket being pulled by your injector is really 2%. Might be ok for a driveway but that’s why people use pumps and soft wash systems rather than injectors when doing house washes or roofs. But I’m new to this also I just purchased a battery powered back pack sprayer that I’ll mix my bleach with water prior to get my result so if I wanted 6% I’ll mix 2.5gallons of sh and 2.5 gallons of water since I have 12.5.

    Love your videos. But you cracked me up when you said to put the tip of your finger in and see if it turns white. Please don't go around telling people this. Bleach is a very strong oxidizing agent at 6-12%. Since people probably don't have test strips laying around how about suggesting some strips from an old blue towel or something and see how long it takes to turn that white? Anyway I love the videos aside from the finger test 🤣

    I'm a little confused if anyone could answer my question.. So if I bought that 12.5% jug of SH and poured half of it into a separate empty container then filled the other half with water I would have a half jug of 12.5% and one full jug of 1.5%

    • @timothy2651
      @timothy2651 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have a half jug of 12.5% and a full jug of 6.25% because it is diluted by half. (12.5%SH / 2 = 6.25%)
