Mam, it's all about history. In ancient times we all were same but after Islamic invasion everything changed. Take the example of wedding, in north India we do wedding in night time because in Mughal era day time wedding was being robbed by Mughals and also they kidnapped bride. In north India we have mandirs in our home because all of our temples were destroyed by inveders. I am really grateful for south indians because they are taking good care of our ancient temples.
Edit:- These things are not only done by Mughals but these were done by all the Islamic inveders. I don't want to use muslim word because india is secular country and we will follow secularism until we die.
