According to the mansplaining experiences, I have experiences many times in Asian countries. But most of the time it came from the people who are not my friends because my friends would have known what I am expert at. lol Let me share some experience. This one happened in Japan and it ended quite nice actually. Once I went to hike and brought my DSLR camera with a tripod to take a picture of sunset on the mountain. While I was waiting for that shot, suddenly one old man next to me started to open his photography session and showed his camera functions to me. And yes because we got taught that we should listen to the elder so I did not interrupt his session and listened until the shot has come. Then later when he saw my picture, he said "oh, you did a good shot!", so I said "thanks to your lecture." and he gave me one can of beer. lol Really like you mentioned in the talk, it is depending on the situation.
My friend is a programmer which is only one women in the team. She can do her work very well, knowing well about software and programming, but her colleague always mansplain like "hey!, let me teach you how to code this" and acts like she has no knowledge. my friend has been facing this situation for 4-5 years...
It's a really good opportunity to catch this episode after I missed it for a long long time. Like you pull me back to think a lot before letting myself make another more rude convo. Thanks ❤ PEACE
This video content is really great!! Not only for learning/practicing new language but this can be effectively imply to friendly daily talk with colleagues and new people that we want to connect.
It would be so nice for us if you leave the interesting vocabulary or phrase you showed up on screen in comment section in next episode. Thanks for sharing me good knowledge and positive point of view😃
As Thailand is a patriarchy society, it’s no doubt that there is manplaining everywhere!!! Most of the time I may ask for the reference ‘What you said might be true, but I won’t believe it until you can show a reliable source of information’ For my own father I usually shut him up like ‘it’s none of your business’. Or sometimes I check the information in the internet as he speak to verify his words (or oppose) Anyway, most situations we may smirk or roll our eyes still we avoid negative consequences by not speaking Since we don’t wanna harm that person’s tiny and fragile self esteem
Giving my two cents here. Either you know or don’t know, have or have no experience, you can make it about them by saying “Tell me more” or “Help me to understand” or “I hear you saying..(so and so)...”.
I’m Thai and think Manplaining in Thailand may be in the form of adultplaining when they think younger decision or thought is not safe for the real world such small thing like how you need to dress like this speak like that, too much repetitve is a bit boresome to me. However I’m kid who try to understand all generation even if sometime I didn’t ask them about it but talk back because you fear of the past without really understand is what I agree is rude no matter age you are, so I try the best to calm my nerve but sometime I let it free weeh lol
Well I really dont feel comfortable with the word mansplaining because I find it rather offensive. Any gender will have one bad person who did this all the time. There should be a gender phrase for this. Anyway nice podcast..
Mansplaining is strongly charged me, LOL it hard to talk to someone that guy is so mansplaining and keep my image as a nice one. Once i had to take a lead in completely mass up uni events, in explaining I took a lead in pr&graphic. Only 4 weeks left but we had no idea what to do, as pr&graphic team we should having the correct information and announce it, but nothing stable yet. We had to announced what coming up, I decided to made a first post just name of the events, mood&tone, key visual and kind of those thing to open the perception and engagement. Then bossy senior one just talk big in the group🙄 saids, who is the head of this point, why did you so sure to post and blabla. I think it so rude to me, so much pressure on my place that we have a time as a tool but we literally have no time bro just 2 week to convince 6K++ ppl to came to our event. Relievedly i kill him by explaining my limitations and ask him what better way i have to do//nicely… dead. LOL amazed how he so confident. Just a beginner explaining you can correct me if u want to// welcome to grab a good things!! so excited to listening to a kind of psychological conversation content and feeling like in the conversation with both of you.❤
Thank you for making English content for Thai people. I’m trying to improve my English everyday.
Thanks!

I liked your audience or your TH-cam
A man tried to explain me how to park perfectly🤔
Mansplaning= พิธีกร รายการนี่คะ
