- For this week's Race Examination from San Diego, we're trying something a little bit different where we're checking out footage from the floor courtesy of our own video man Tom Journet. With some closer looks at what's going one, we're able to see some rather unique things like how riders collect themselves from swapping in the whoops, why the 250SX class guys shift up twice in a single jump, and how you can even tell when a rider is setting up for a pass.
Film: Tom Journet
Breakdown: Kellen Brauer

This is the best technique/examination series on YT by far my dudes. I love it it when Kellen gives props to the incredible skills of the best sx riders on the planet.
debatable however i do agree its pretty good wada wada wada braap
@@Johnny_Hopper You don't even race, so what do you know Hopper ;)....btw braaaaaap braaaaaap love the vids.
@@Peanutdenver fair fair braaaap braaap
@@Johnny_Hopper Seriously tho looking forward to your A2 vid.
Keep doing these. Really enjoyed it. It's also important to note that these movements are automatic to most of these guys. A lot of their body movements are natural reflexes based on years and years of developing their craft. Just awesome to watch in it in slow mo. Gotta love the double upshifts before the whoops as well. Thanks for sharing.
More of these !!! I wish there was any kind of insight on the actual live broadcast. But the insight we get there is like
"Blue Yamaha"
"If he is clever he goes as fast as he can"
"doesnt even look like he is trying" 😭
SuperCross riders are like a machine!
Cool to see those little slow motion technique shots, made me think of when the guys shift up to land on top of a table top and hit neutral, just how a minor screw up in that up shift can end your night and sometimes your season.
Love the insights into the techniques! dudes are rad
Loved it keep them coming
Most interesting content from the races. Racing is far too fast to really have thoughts like these as a spectator. It's hard enough trying to keep up with multiple passing battles at once. This is always my favorite footage from the races. The broadcast feed can feel so impersonal at times. It almost slows down the action. The floor shots really bring everything to life.
Good job and thanks. I do in joy these.
Keep em coming all season long!! Great break down
Good slow mo examination, variety is the spice of life!
Thanks Kellen!
This is great Kellen. More of these for sure.
Truly amazing talent. Really like the double up shift segment.
Kellen stays killing it with these analysis videos. Top notch shots, Tom
Phenomenal Break Down episode!!
Great analysis. Tom gets awesome shots too.
The slow moo really let's you appreciate just how freaking good these guys really are!! You wouldn't think switching gears is such a big deal until you try it your self in a boot designed not to bend ! Love these videos !
This is top notch content. Thanks Kellen and Tom
Yeah, great break down! Thx.
Kellen good job homie
My coworkers didn’t think it’s as cool as I do but they are jackasses. Great job Kellen!
Love this kind of stuff
good stuff brother- good stuff
Definitely like this content. Great insight & amazing work from Tommy tenders!!!!
Very well done!!!
Thanks Tom and Kellen. Very cool stuff. Great action photos Tom. Keep up good analysis!
Very cool! More breakdowns please 👍
Loving this thanks
Good stuff, thank you!
Great video keep these coming I love it! Plus I can send these videos to my brother so he can understand all the small things riders do during the race. Where I tell them they’re doing certain things but there eyes aren’t trained like people that ride. So I see where to look but I know what to look for because I ride etc where he’s not sure what he’s looking for.
Thanks keep ‘em rolling!✊
Keep doing these
That was great make more plz! 🤙🏼
Interesting stuff 👍
Supercross should have a uk stream or a channel for sky
They do..
hmmm you missed that RJs bootstrap was loose :)
Really wish the night shows had cameras closer to the racing. It's all so zoomed out.
Couldn't agree more. They also always have the camera pointed the wrong direction when something big is happening. You hear the crowd go "WHOOOAA" meanwhile they just wait until Will finishes her thought about talking to somebody earlier and then later get around to a replay...Fox's coverage of SX was the best.
More please
Rj’s boot buckle is undone
❤
Everything is better in slow motion
Notice Roczen was jumping through the whoops as they were getting kicked by rocks and losing time to KR.
Did you copy Johnny Hopper or did Hopper copy you?
Dumb question ; ? Do they pull the clutch when they shift ? Miss a shift ? Just ask Stewart 😩
Looked like all 3 didn't use the clutch
Funny, these guys would not be able to break it down like this cause theyre not actually sure what they are doing most of the time. It's just instinct
Some riders are good coaches. Like Ryan Hughes.
Your really good at this, it’s one I look forward to K 🏁🏜
