So when the first deer jumps out in front you, it scares you but you learn how to be in control and have fun at the same time. It's a delicate balancing act and one of the main reasons this is a self regulating sport. People who dont figure it out usually die or get badly injured.

You have to know your limits and know where you can push on them in the safest way to avoid injury, and also its really easy to get overzealous and try to catch up with others who are much more experienced.
