Bikes & Bitcoin - How to Get Through the Price Downturns
When the price action on Bitcoin is so strange, I often find it helpful to set limit orders to accumulate as it breaks down and then walk away and go breathe fresh air, ride a bike and enjoy other things in life.
Remember we are winning, it just takes some time.
None of this is financial advice. Do your own research, make your own decisions. Do not attempt anything in this video.

      Save for a 600 sport bike, I wouldn’t ride anything below a 650cc on a highway. I had a 650 Vulcan S on a highway where the average speed is 75mph, it’s not a comfortable ride. Now I have a Sportster S and Hayabusa and they’re butter on the highway. Way more comfortable ride. And I barely have to get on the throttle to pass. And the bikes feel like they get pushed around less from the wind. In short a 1200cc should be fine.

    I have a college whose GF got a 125. He’s jealous. He’s in his 30’s now and has always had friends with bikes but never had his own. His friends call him their backpack. He mentioned to me that he didn’t know if he should get a CBT ( 125cc restricted license ) or because he over 24 should he get his direct access and a big bike so he can keep up. I offered him a dilemma to his solution. A 300cc can do 100mph it’s more than enough to keep up unless your friends are out to lose the license. The only thing wrong with a 300 is potentially your ego.

    Did a 600 mile trip on my Kawasaki Versys X300 two weeks ago. Throttle lock at 80 mph, turning about 9500 RPM. Absolutely chillin. Bike did not break a sweat, and was really fun once the highway ended and the twisties started. This is all with a large windshield on the bike as well, creating more drag and making the bike work significantly harder.

    took a long trip this morning (about 3 hours) on a ninja 250 and during the motorway portions of the ride (interstate equivalent in Ireland) the bike was sitting nicely at 70-75mph and could easily hit and stay at 80-90 mph for overtakes and stuff, not sure where everyone gets the idea that lower cc bikes cant deal with the higher speeds especially over distance

      The 125 ones I’m looking at vibrate quite a bit on the handlebars at highway speeds. I’m still investing in one, but doing so knowing that. They’re also all kinda weak and not easily able to speed up to the limit (which for me is a good thing cuz I would kms)

      The only 125 that can really so highway speeds somewhat comfortably is the yamaha r125 i believe most others cap at like 110 kmh which is like 60 mph so yeah they'd struggle most 250's get to about 90-110 mph sometimes higher so its less noticable u just cant seriously speed on a 250 u can definitely break every speeding law with ease though @@pedroclaro7822

    I like small bikes. They do have advantages in a lot of ways. Cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, cheaper to maintain, cheaper parts, cheaper tires, less gas, less weight, less heat off the engine, less complexity so less things to go wrong, can redline more gears before I'm speeding. I'm less scared of wrecking it or dropping it or it getting stolen because it cost less. The advantage of a big bike is they sometimes have more tech and accelerate faster. To me smaller bikes check a lot more boxes.

    • @Marco-cl9pb
      @Marco-cl9pb หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also have bad things tho, maintenence it's pretty much as expensive if we are comparing a 300-500 to a 700cc, also mt07 is pretty fuel efficient if you are chill with the throttle, so another point that doesn't go in favor or smaller cc. Smaller cc bikes are also usually a bit more cramped, less leg space etc.

    • @pleasedontwatchthese9593
      @pleasedontwatchthese9593 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Marco-cl9pb I would not say it's cheaper. Smaller bikes are sold in a lot more markets making the parts cheaper and affordable. Bigger bikes are sold to mostly higher end countries as luxury goods and often cost more. They just take physicaly more material and weight more so cost more to ship. Bigger bikes often also take more oil, more spark plugs, more expensive bigger tires. They also often take more labor hrs to take apart because they are often more complex. If you ever went to a dealership and ask how much matance cost they charge different amounts based on CC because they know all of that. Ergonomics of a bike depend on the user, like if your shorter you may prefer a smaller bike. I have kept spreadsheets and tracked every experience of a larger and smaller bike. It's often a big difference.

    • @Marco-cl9pb
      @Marco-cl9pb หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pleasedontwatchthese9593 what I meant is that unless we are talking about motorcycles actually focused and made to be cheap and efficient like a 125cc, going from a premium 300cc like the MT03 to the 700cc MT07 isn't that much different maintenance cost wise (besides tire price and tire wear generally speaking). So I would argue that investing that maintenance money on the big bike instead not a bad idea, might as well invest almost the same in a machine that gives even more smiles. But I still recommend a cheaper, lighter bike for learning how to ride properly tho because it's way more forgiving and fun to drive a small bike fast than to drive a fast bike slow

  • @jamesordwayultralightpilot

    That's a curvy road at best. Twisties are windy mountain roads where you learn how to ride and control the bike. So when the first deer jumps out in front you, it scares you but you learn how to be in control and have fun at the same time. It's a delicate balancing act and one of the main reasons this is a self regulating sport. People who dont figure it out usually die or get badly injured.

    • @jewelscoop3570

      motorcycling, like skateboarding is all about riding your ride. You have to know your limits and know where you can push on them in the safest way to avoid injury, and also its really easy to get overzealous and try to catch up with others who are much more experienced. Youve just gotta trust when your gut says to chill
