- 106 days away from home with Clackamas Crew 30 with 14 Incidents and nearly 1000hr of OT
this is how our season went. It was a year of growth and expansion. Crew 30 went to Canada and Alaska as well as all over Oregon thanks to partnerships With Oregon Department of Forestry.
We are always ready for the next fire!
The Viking rubbers, a classic "welcome to Canadian Wildland Firefighting" initiation haha I appreciate your crew for coming out to help us!
Also that "Crew 30" chant for the outro was gold
“Not bashing each other for past experiences”
You’re not fooling me brother😂
Big props to the editor of this video! Great stuff!!!
Thatd be Esteban on the editing. And me on the color grade
@@CuttinChris what camera did y'all use?
@CamoGirlPlayz he used his camcorder and I used my Sony a6000 with tamron 17-70 f2.8
@CamoGirlPlayz It was a Sony 4K Handycam, and Chris' nice camera

BRO THOSE HUMMUS WRAPS! oh damn memories.. good shit. fast is slow; slow is steady, be safe.
God I miss working wildland but at the same time very glad I made the change to medical, I have so much pain in my lower back from a tumble down a hill when a fire broke our lines and a ringing in my right ear from the chains
It definitely puts a number on the body im always sore but one more chain brotha
@@CuttinChris glad you are still out there and safe will pray for you bro and the rest of our thousands of brother and sisters

Go for it man
Thank you for this video. my nerves are calming down a bit for my first year to start I start training on May 6th
Have fun work hard and be a sponge absorb everything people teach you. Always be a student of fire
@@CuttinChris I will always remember that great quote or saying. "Always be a student of fire."
I would this for a season for the experience.
It'll teach you a lot about yourself
8:02 It’s a Yeti!!!!
Like seeing the south African working on fire crews in the video, how did you find it working with them?
They're awesome. Very receptive to training and willing to work day in and out. We spent a few days training the 2nd group on how we mop up and put in control line. I'd say by the end of it they were doing better than some contract crews I've seen in the states.
Sorry new to this! Had a question what is the point of this? Do they do this to prevent fires?
Bro what do you mean? They are putting out wild fires…
What are the orange boots for?
In Canada they're required ppe for chainsaw operators.
Why isn’t this on Netflix? Stay safe!
Thatd be totally cool
Where do you hire . Fft2 year 4this upcoming
I’m in school for fire technology but how do you get into woodland fire
Get your red card
Bitchin !!!!
