I think that would be cool wrapped around a lamp base. You would have to glue as you go but you could also add some charms in with it. Would be a great lamp for a bedroom or craftroom.
wow what a fun yarn and thank you for answering my question about what to do with artsy yarn like this. You have a great imagination to vision yarn like this.
Hi Evie, I hope you're OK xx ❣ 😘 Love this video podcast/tutorial on Core Spinning. I love the finished yarn. One if my goals for 2022 is to learn to Core Spin and especially an Art Yarn. Happy Spinning Fibre Friend Take care and stay safe Lots of love Jen xxxx 💖 🤔🥰🐑🐑🎆
That again has become a very pretty yarn. It seemed kinda hard with that green and pink, but you pulled it off again ;~) I'm thinking of weaving a shawl with this kind of textured yarn, but then in one color. But I have so many plans, so I don't know when I will ;~)
I have a question. Perhaps you've answered it in another video and I missed it. Could you please explain for us why you use flyer wheels and seldom spindle wheels. Thank you for your rad content.
Thank you for the tutorial.... but that eye makeup tho 😍🙌🏻I really appreciate the fact that you get all dolled up like that for a spinning tutorial, I mostly look like a hermit woman when I’m spinning 😂
That turned out so beautiful! Great job as always. It is hard to find a project to use really textured yarn, especially when you don't make hundreds of yards of it, so your suggestion of a hat brim is perfect :-) Does the wheel you use in this video belong to your neighbour or is it one of yours?
It's my neighbor's. I saw her husband walking their dog last night and I yelled across the yard, "Don't come for the wheel yet! I'm not ready to let go!!!" 🤣 Good laughs! I'll get another project or two done with it, and then I'll give it back.
Hi JillianEve...which model of a lazy Kate do you recommend? One that is tensioned? Thank you for your help...I need to buy one. Have you made a video incorporating this kind of yarn into a hat? I would love to see how you do that. I cannot thank you enough for this video. This is exactly the type of yarn I am interested in making. I’m a newbie...so much to learn! Wall hangings would be spectacular too!! Could I also ask what kind of oil you use to oil your spinning wheels? Thank you!
I really loved using the Lendrum tensioned lazy Kate. It can fit lots of different bobbins, not just Lendrum and the tensioning system on it is super duper easy to adjust, even if your hands are full of unruly singles! It is also less expensive than some of the other equivalent tensioned lazy Kates. I have a link to the Woolery if you want to take a look at it! Is it actual chinchilla fur, or does it say chinchilla to describe something very soft? I've seen several things with the "chinchilla" label that were not actual chinchilla. If it really is fur, I would see if you could blend it with a short staple wool maybe?
So much fun!
Also the clear explanation of which way the wheel is spinning and how to hold the yarn. Thank you
This turned out lovely! You did an amazing job explaining the different troubleshooting methods!
Thank you!! I hope you got some inspiration too! Happy spinning! 🧶💕
Textured yarns (or art yarns) also make beautiful woven baskets!
Oh that's a great idea! 💕
Watched you a lot when I first started spinning, going back thru them now as I weave, thank you for the continued Inspiration .

Oh my goodness what an amazing idea! 💕
I have made wide headband / ear warmers with a cable "twist" in the center.

I love seeing your weaving! Will you try weaving with this textured yarn?
So far this tutorial showed me everything I ever had questions about plying. THis is great thank you so much!!! Great job
You are welcome! Thank you so much for watching!!! 💕
This is so helpful and clear Jilly. Absolutely brilliant 😊

This was just awesome. What amazing yarn, and as usual you explained so clearly :D I can't wait to get a wheel!

Yay I would weave it too. Though I may have to add a bit of black.
Maybe with a black warp? 🤔
@@JillianEve yes that would make the colors pop

Thank you! 🥰 I don't go out much, but I love to play with makeup! I think making a video is a great reason to break out my blending brushes! 💕
