Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You do justice to a great piece of guitar playing. How about some other Stones numbers from this great era.
Great job man! You hit every note Keith played and the tone was perfect on that Epiphone. That's what Keith played on the early stuff before he could afford the Les Paul.
Beautiful Epi ang great playing...Searched and searched for a JL Casino.....of my Gibson Acoustics.....Ric 325.....Burst and 56 Gold top...My Blonde JL Casino remains my Favorite of all....Cheers!
Thanks Keef ! glad you like it .. if watch my finger positions on the fret board and listen to the original song - you should pick up the way I play this song .. work on a small section at a time .. good luck..
Pretty good Peter probably one of the best versions, have been wanting to be able to play this song so will give it a try on my Epi Dot 335 should do the trick watching your version in segments..
Hi Thanks ! .. I looked it up .. 😀 Robert William Troup Jr. (October 18, 1918 - February 7, 1999) was an American actor, jazz pianist, singer, and songwriter. He wrote the song "Route 66"
Really nice stuff. I enjoyed your Route 66 guitar playing very much. That track was always my favorite off the Stones' 1st album. One time, my band & I gave that song a go (using the Stones arrangement). But you did a much better job. Well done!
@@letsbm8s Thought so. I have one, too. Mine is rougher, has a break in the neck, repaired, but looks like heck. Break is right at the headstock. Got it that way in 1978, so repair seems to have worked , plays great!
Great, very authentic guitar cover, certainly one of my favourite Stones numbers, well played.🇬🇧❤️🎶🎶

Yes the lead guitar work is great, but you have the Silk Road map behind you, Route 66 is about 12,000 miles west.....or 12,000 to the east!!!
