Thank you for a great reaction. Personally, I don't think this was lip sinked, but people often think that because Dimash, being a perfectionist ,rarely makes mistakes in his performances. On a separate note - Dimash just released a video of his performance with one of the greatest opera singers Placido Domingo. They sing acoustically there and have no ear monitors either. Take that Dimash haters!😊

6:58 His voice shakes a little bit here…I don’t think he’s lip syncing.
When he hits that first operatic note his voice fades away. That could easily be accomplished with audio electronics. Otherwise there’s nothing else i can see that might point to this being a lip sync.

Lip sync or not, at his tender age of 30 later this year. Served us all genres possible with a beautiful, seamless going from octave to octave voice, moving us to tears with emotion and now a range of 7+ octaves. Please listen to a selection of his different songs. He had 600 million views on Weibo after his first Singer 2017 appearance.
Dimash is the most versatile singer of all with his divine voice and personality to go with it.
    Wherever he performs: sold out!
    Dimash stands for quality❤
He performed at Barclay centre Dec 2019 so many in the USA know about him.
He does not rely on big dependent music producers.

I liked your guest. ❤ It’s ok to ask yourself about the lip-synching, and then move on. He appreciated Dimash, even if he didn’t know for sure. ❤😊
Generally, I don’t understand how that would even diminish his accomplishments. Put all the best singers in a studio for however long they want - and they couldn’t do this.
And Dimash has sung this song countless times live and perfectly. 🥰
He doesn’t need to lip-sync. But if he ever did - there must have been an important reason out of his control.

Personally, I like that you utilize this version of SOS to introduce people to Dimash. It is the song that made China, followed by the rest of the world, hear Dimash as a first-class star. It was also the first song I heard him sing, although it was the 2017 "I Am A Singer" version in the competition in China that made him famous. No matter how many times I hear it, I love every note. That version was completely live because it was part of the rules of the competition - and it blew my socks off. This version is 2 years later, his French is fine-tuned, and he does a few things differently, as always. As a previous professional vocalist myself, I have serious doubts that he is lip-syncing here. I have also heard him sing on many fan-cams from his concerts and although the sound quality overall is poorer (cell phones not the best for recording music), his vocals are spot on, pure, and beautiful despite the recording quality. Thank you for spreading the sound and the magic that is Dimash. I always enjoy your guest reactions and appreciate so much that you are spreading Dimash-love around so generously.

I'll tell you why this is NOT a lip sync. This is his performance at the 2018 Slavianski Bazaar, a singing competition where he was a judge and a guest performer. Three years earlier, in 2015, he was a competitor and won 1st place in the Grand Prix (the entire 3-day competition). He would NEVER lip sync at this event. It's not even allowed. Same with "Stranger" - that song was presented at the Grand opening of the International Competition of Young Performers "New Wave-2021" in Sochi, Russia. Again, an event where he would not-and cannot-lip sync. He doesn't lip sync at his concerts either. I know that many singers do but Dimash is not like other singers. It wouldn't hurt to have the video of Dimash singing the song from the Fifth Element cued up to show them at the end of this if they mention it (it's very short, and it's in concert too; every time I've heard him sing it, it's a bit different, so I'm pretty sure it's not lip synced).

Slavic Bazzar is a famous singing competition, and most singing competitions do not allow autotune. You can’t use autotune in a live setting if you have a natural vibrato like Dimash to the voice, only autotune or pitch correction in the studio. Many performers may lip synch because they cannot replicate what’s done in the studio. But I think what Michael Jackson’s vocal coach was mistaken taking the unsynching between sound and vision that happens at times in digital videos over analogue ones. If you want to check if an artist is using autotune put their vocal into pitch monitoring software and see the difference. Fil from Wings of Pegusus did a vid comparing the vocals of Pavarotti and Dimash with the vocal of someone using autotune.
Personally with Dimash I think you should be offering a taster SOS followed by Olympico. You’re not expecting you guests to like his music, you just want to show them someone with a phenomenal voice. After just hearing SOS some people automatically class him as a counter tenor, but Olympico sort throws that concept out of contention.

Or sinful passion, or stranger, he literally has so many songs that showcase his high bass low baritone, and a lot more that show his tenor abilities rather than picking that one song that most people he will introduce to dimash will say "yeah I don't really listen to opera but it was cool", rather than that, it's better to show them something they can relate to and enjoy.

I am an avid fan of Dimash. From the time I discovered him in 2018, I never left him since then. If Dimash does lipsynching, it's fine with me. The only problem is that because he is so good, sometimes people think that he is doing the lipsynch thing. A clear example is the Russian guy who thought that Dimash performances were computerized until one day he saw it with his own eyes Dimash's live performance. He was shock to find out that indeed Dimash is capable of producing those sounds without computer aid. Anyway, thanks to your guest today. He is a cool guy!

It keeps astounding me how there are so many dears who think that it is somehow helpful to defend Dimash (when defending is not needed), against "lip sync allegations". Many have no idea what industry standard practices are, and that lip syncing, or singing live to track, or having editors replace your live vocals with studio vocals for the release, does not make one a worse singer. People are just uneducated, and also often do not see or hear the nuances themselves. Such is life.
Out of official videos, my favourite versions of SOS are Kiev 2020 (in his Kiev Arnau concert on his channel, but you can also find it extracted by a fan if you search YT) and the Digital Show SOS 2021. Vocals in the latter are incredible, better than in this Slavic Bazaar version, but he sings with his eyes closed for almost the entire song, and the editors have not noticed this when choosing their shots, which is frustrating if one, as a new watcher, wants to see his eyes. But as far as live performances in professional sound quality go, the digital show is the bomb vocally and what I would show instead. The Singer version is also a great starting point, as that's the one that made him internationally known, and it is a very sweet version from young Dimash.
(SOS is, apart from literally a few occasions where track was required, always live and there are dozens upon dozens of different versions of the song available online, obviously mostly only captured on fancams.)

Exactly! I don't understand why they always say this one is live, while getting angry if someone says otherwise. That doesn't matter because he sung it multiple times live! TO help you on the matter of LS, Dimash is so good, and flawless, he sounds so perfect, that people say he lip synchs often. He has, more in the past, moved the mic rapidly from side to side to show that he is really singing so that you can hear his voice cutting in and out......Watching his body engagement here, I think this one is real. He does do a little LS'ing but when his diaphragm is really visibly engaged as it is here, I think not....maybe, but I don't think so on this one. And as you say, who in the industry does not? And when he sang the 5th element song during the 2017 I AM SINGER competition, well you HAVE to sing live to participate in the vocal comp, you can not LS in the competition. Dimash does LS the 2nd half of his song The Story of One Sky in his concerts and that is very evident. But here, I don't think so.

He does LS the 2nd 1/2 of TSOOS in most of the shows that he did in this tour. But I think it was the Hong Kong show recently, he sang the entire thing, no LS - pretty amazing too! I think it was Hong Kong, there were so many shows with fancams that I lose track. But I was expecting him to LS the 2nd 1/2 & was surprised when he sang it live all the way thru. Probably has to do with how he's feeling on a given night, what other demanding songs he has to sing in proximity to it, etc. Doesn't matter to me in the slightest, I'm not sure why some get so bent out of shape about it - as the man said, he created & recorded it in the 1st place! Almost every singer does it occasionally, & Dimash remains the greatest singer on the planet, & probably in history.

As a matter of fact, Dimash did FOUR versions of Diva Dance. The blue alien on the 5th Element was computer-generated. Dimash's voice is so unreal and beautiful that some people cannot believe it emanates from his slender body. Dimash sings in 14 languages. when he first appeared on Singer 2017, he only spoke Kazakh and Russian. His first four songs were in French (S0S), Russian (Opera 2), English (The Show Must Go On), and Mandarin ( Autumn Strong). He only had one week to prepare for each performance. I believe this was a talent show of some sort, so of course Dimash did not lip-sync. Perhaps you should have let him watch Dimash's digital performance. No way he could have said that was lip-synced, Sinful Passion, Ikanaide, Love Is Like A Dream, Your Love, or better still, his performance of Adagio on Singer 2017. Oh well, folks are gonna believe what they want to perceive.

To be clear, the reason for lip sync during a TV performance is NOT because the performers can’t sing the song, especially Dimash…who could not sing badly if he tried, he is THAT great. The reason is to eliminate the potential for technical problems like microphone feedback or the wireless mic dropping out for a moment, or noise from the audience coughing, clapping or simply moving around during the beautiful soft notes he sings. With lip sync the artist is not embarrassed by technical issues they can’t control. Dimash is potentially one of the greatest singers of all time, don’t ever let his performances be tarnished by human imperfection of others.
    Cheers!

Your guest was right, this was lip-synched. The best version and 100% live was the 2017 Singer version although he messed up the lyrics there. Many fanatic Dears believe that every track on TH-cam of Dimash singing on a stage is live. It isn't. I'm a Dear, just not a blind/deaf/fanatic one. Many of the supposed live performance clips of Dimash on TH-cam are NOT live. The New Wave version of Stranger for instance is very obviously NOT live; the one on Shine Super Brothers is and the differences are obvious. th-cam.com/video/thbgh0qIscI/w-d-xo.html Also take note that the fanatical Dears don't behave so "dearly" when one dares to be a bit more realistic and critical of Dimash. If they finally can't but admit that some of his performances are actually not live, they always come up with things like "But he was sick that day" or "that particular country does not allow live performances" or any such silly excuses. They forget that perfection does not exist and that even Dimash, as gloriously talented and gifted as he is, is NOT perfect.

Thank you, I just left a comment saying basically the same thing. And if Dears want Dimash to get more attention they need to chill with the aggressive comments when someone says something they don’t agree with. I don’t think he would appreciate his fans being rude on his behalf.
Also how can they not hear that the “live” performance sounds EXACTLY like the recorded one? Seems like willful ignorance to me.

    • @jayeginn5963
      @jayeginn5963 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@wax_idiotic 💯Exactly! The aggressive ones seem to think that as soon as somebody is standing on a stage in front of an audience with a microphone in their hand that means that of course it is a LIVE performance. It's mind boggling that they can't hear that so many "live" performances are 100% identical, just as much as it is mind boggling that they can't see AND hear that sometimes the breaths (on those recordings) don't match what he is doing at that particular moment, stuff like that. They also don't get it that their claims that he can do anything and is pretty much perfect put enormous pressure on him. Really annoying.

I'm a Dimash enthusiast, but I didn't feel this performance was 100% live. It's possible it was, but it may have been edited later or during the show. If aiming for a 100% live presentation, there are many other options available. For instance, his performance of "Unforgettable Day" at Gakku 2017 was amazing. As they say, every artist sometimes lip-syncs, and that doesn't diminish their talent. It's about preserving their voice and avoiding overexertion during tours. Additionally, a single Dimash song surpasses in difficulty the entire repertoire of many artists. It can't be easy. Finally, behind Dimash, there's a whole team that must also agree with or promote this as a healthy practice to care for him.

A lot of people have suggested lip-synching to the point that he does stuff during his performances now to prove he that's not what he's doing. Most of the people suggesting it weren't as polite about it as you were though. They were downright cruel about it, actually, so he rose to the challenge. Some people just can't stand so much talent being in one person.

Wikipedia...Dimash is well-recognized for his wide vocal range, spanning seven octaves and seven semitones, from Si0 to Re8 . According to various sources, he has been heard live (Stranger) hitting a C2 and D8 (Unforgettable Day). His whistle register can hit notes in the eight octaves.[1][2][3]
I've seen him perform this song live in at least 10 different videos and every one of them are different, he changes it up a little in every performance. He is trained in classical, folk, pop etc... he also has "perfect pitch" literally not to mention has sung in 16 different languages. Performances of him on The Singer are available and are definitely live as well as his performance on The World's Best. He definitely had to sing live on that show too if you feel the need to check his credibility but to judge him with out educating your self is wrong. I'm not saying he has never lipsynced. But I have definitely seen him sing live and you can not tell the difference except his personal choices which are always different in every performance of every song I've ever seen.

He absolutely lip syncs sometimes. And that’s fine by me. I’ve been a fan of the dude for a few years now and it’s incredibly frustrating to see “Dears” stick their head in the sand and ignore what is so obvious. Especially the live version of The Story Of One Sky. It’s 13 minutes of constant vocal changes. Who could blame the guy for wanting to save his voice for the rest of the show, when his harsher vocals at the end would be tough to pull off for someone not used to doing them?
Some fans are a bit too fanatical and I think it puts people off. You want Dimash to be more famous? Stop being aggressive to people just giving their opinion on him. I’m sure I’ll get a ton of hate for my comment but I’m sick and tired of reading the same copied and pasted comments under every reaction video, and seeing TH-camrs getting angry comments because they don’t worship him as a god.
THAT being said, I genuinely enjoy your videos man, keep up the good work, and try to ignore the mean comments. 🤘

The trick with saying lip synch is that so many Dears have seen him up close and personal and performing it live... like... right at the edge of the stage. So yeah, we know he can certainly sing it without pre-recording. That being said, it's also not always his decision. When he does performances as a guest at things like New Wave or on CCTV that are not his personal production he gets very limited say in how the thing is actually produced. He certainly prefers to perform live and has even cancelled appearances when too ill to sing because he'd rather not risk a bad lip synch.

I can't stand everyone thinking that Dimash lip syncs. They can't believe someone can sing as amazingly as Dimash does. No one has ever witnessed a unique, phenomenal, singer like Dimash. Thanks for at least speaking up. And ,yes, I was also very upset about that Stranger guest reaction.

Again as always the same song and the same version? And i continue to repeat to you that Dimash is not only one genre/style of music,is not only one song, and is not only one version of the song, and I mean is not only Sos and is not only the version of Slavic Bazaar 2018..For show Dimash in the best way you have to present him to your guests with more songs of different genres styles, for example Be with me,Golden,Stranger or Ave Maria,The weekend in collaboration with dj Burak, the new 2 songs compose by him When i've got you and Smoke,Durdaraz, and the song totally opera that Dimash sings with the legendary opera singer Placido Domingo..This is only an example for the best demonstration of who is Dimash, what is capable of doing, and of his total versatility..The people that unfortunately for them doesn't know who is Dimash cannot understand the music world of Dimash with just one song and one genre..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

If there is an artist in the world who doesn't lip sync, it's Dimash. He even had steroid shots in his throat during I Am Singer so he could continue singing. He's the best in the world. Period. So, yeah, it's a bit hard for those of us are Dimash experts ("Dears") to hear a bit of the shared ignorance sometimes with reactors, so forgive our testiness. He sings in 13 languages, speaks four. Plays 8 or more instruments and to compare him to David Lee Roth or Janice is (while a meant-for compliment) is laughable. But, cheers to you dudes!

Regarding Stranger, Russian billionaire musical mogul Igor Krutoy does not do personal appearances for lip syncs !!

Maybe if you started choosing his concert versions, you would easily avoid this lipsync theories. 😊

As a long time Dimash fan I can tell when he lip syncs. Of course I used to deny it when I was a little too obsessed with him 😅 but I feel music, live music is my love and the lip synced songs just don’t grab that special place in my heart. I was at his concert in NYC and he lip synced two songs Olimpico and The Love of Tired Swans and the connection was gone for those two songs for me. I understand it tho it’s done for many reasons and I still listen and love. Anyways Dimash is of course the best in my opinion and always will be.

I'm in no way shape or form a professional and I will not tell you whether this was lip sync or not. I only know for sure, that unless the arrangers want him to lip sync he will do it live. I've had the privilege to see him live at concert, and he sounds exactly the same. You should also bare in mind though, that this is. Song he has sung for many years, over and over.
I wish you would include the Diva Dance in the reactions whenever they mention it, it's such a short snippet, so it should be doable, right? 😁

Shame on you he doesn't have to do it. He has a God given gift and his voice is perfect without lip sinking.

As often as you have people react to Dimash I would assume that you would have learned a few simple facts about him. First of all he SPEAKS only two fluently and they are, Kazakh and Russian, he is fast learning English and does well in it, and Mandarin because he goes to China a lot. Dimash is 6”3 he was born May 24 1994. He is 29 right now. Dimash SINGS in about 15 different languages the latest one he sang was Cantonese in his Hong Kong concert. SOS is in French.its kind of disappointing when you hipe him up to your friends and you can’t tell them anything about him. Thank you for all the reactions I think you just about know everyone. 😊
