unsupervised ai is used to give us output after it has already been trained and supervised learning to train it first . is this correct?

In supervised learning if output is known already then why it is performed?

to train the data like if u want ur machine to differentiate cat or dog ,you need to give it multiple pictures of both with all the features .that is why the training phase is vry difficult.
it is the same case as u make a child learn everything. the child enquires about something and when same thing comes again he is able to predict the actual thing. you don't make him learn all things at a time that is why his output becomes necessary when he sees the thing you've trained him for!!!

After training you can use the ai to perform the task on a large scale
Let's say you have a data set of 10,000 pictures of dogs and cats
You want to sort them
You will train an ai to sort the pictures using 100 pictures
Then let the AI sort the rest
