lol if you know how man times i rewinded that part of the video erased and redid the problem because i literally kept asking my self if i am so confused that i forgot how to add. thank you for the comments
Tutor, thanks for your pains. Your first problem turned out with wrong solutions. Never mind. The mistake has a great effect on me since I am now convinced that even math gurus can make math mistakes. The effect on me is not to lose hope in my own countless mistakes.
+Jeff Lee I think he messed up, I solved it the non-matrix way and got completely different values for x y and z than what he did and they worked, then I plugged in his values and they didnt work.
confused about the second example at 6:57, why can h be anything? if the equation of the matrix is 0x1+(h-12)x2=0 wouldn't h have to be 12 to satisfy the equation? or no because the matrix shows the coefficients so if you plug in 0 for x2 it doesn't matter what the value is?
this is a pretty late reply but it's to make the subtraction with -24/7 easier as -28/7 = -4 just replying here just in case someone has a similar confusion
we looked for the value of h that makes the equation 6-3h-4=2 so that to find the h value makes the system inconsistent. Bcs the question asks for the h values that make the system consistent. so we said that the value we found is the only value for being inconsistent and any value other than that value is okay !
Please explain why incorrect solution set works for rows 1&2? U should let ur students check answers before posting, otherwise...thank u for great job with this lesson plan..😁👍
my answer is .......................................... x1= 2, x2= -1, x3 = 2
Lol I had to replay it two times, and I'm glad that others have also caught the 6 - 0 = 0
At least I know I'm not the only one imagining things
I had to use a calculator to confirm that am not High...hahahaha
I looked at the clip three times just rewinding over and over again just to understand.
yeah I was confused
we did the same thing.....
lol
@@rahulkoar6299 same ...
1:42 6-0=0??? TRev???? i got different values!
+ashwinder suden Numbers are hard :(
awww its okay!!! the overall question strategy is what was needed! thank you :)

You did not explain the reason WHY we need a 1 in the top left and 0 in the bottom left and that's the most important thing.
It’s so that the next operations don’t undo each other. Aka turning the 0s and 1s back into coefficients.
You essentially need 0 to follow the pivot so that when you have 100 in each column then yoire able to get the value for x,y,Z.
1:42 , Aha
my answer is:
x1 = 2
x2 = -1
x3 = 2
I got the same answer
yup

1:42 6 - 0 = 0? im confused..

Yeah. He made a mistake there.

Is 6 - 0 = 0 or is it just an error you accidentally made...Please Help me Understand
Why do you need 1 in the top left???
Bro at 1:45 you have said 6-0=0. Plz correct it.
How to solve if coeficcent are a irretional number?
I really like the T/F examples. Misunderstanding is no good!
3:00 wtf, how did he get x1-3(8/7) = -4 => x1-24/7 = -28/7 ?!?!?!?? why right side where -4 became -28/7?
i wonder the same...
I want to know too
this is a pretty late reply but it's to make the subtraction with -24/7 easier
as -28/7 = -4
just replying here just in case someone has a similar confusion
you are a legend bro thank you so much! Do you have a patreon ?
I find these videos useful, thank you
you made an error when you said 6-0=0
how come 6-3h -4 =2? i estimated it 3.333. is there someone to explain it?
we looked for the value of h that makes the equation 6-3h-4=2 so that to find the h value makes the system inconsistent. i was like what 6-0 is 0 it mean I am taught wrong since childhood 😂😂.
He made a boo boo
😂the first one is insane
6.5 years later - your videos are still relevant and my teacher is still making worse material when he could just be linking to this. lol
Thanks Trev!

its wrong
6-0=0🤣
