I'm a supporter for decades so have some clout to this. Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal. We are not a decorated club, never have been. Even during this time of prominence we are never seen as a killer or an apex predator, a RELIABLE force - we never have invoked fear when the Elite enter our grounds. When we look at the higher level, we capture periods of "dominance" during insignificant periods of the season which amount to successful runs to which we then fall to our greatest weakness WHICH IS, not being able to shoulder the responsibility of being an elite club in the football world. Our club needs to get over this major hurdle first before we can even get started. The reality of this is winning the Carabao Cup (if we're really being brutally honest with ourselves) no matter how trivial that sounds with the current goals expected of our club AND a transfer window which amounts to getting EXACTLY what we need to complete a first XI team which means a world class striker. If none of these conditions are met, we are going to slip back into the 3rds and 4ths we've endured for the last 5-20 years which is unfortunately good business.
You have to also bear in mind where you were when he arrived. You were nowhere near competing for top four and he’s had ro completely rebuild the team. Utd were then and still are miles off despite spending even more. I think he’s done an amazing job so far and its his first job and he’s still learning so will make mistakes.
You can sense the desperation for Liverpool not to win the league from those Arsenal fans that have relentlessly defended Arteta. Because they know that if Slot comes into a new country and wins the Premier League first season, without spending much in the Summer, then it blows a lot of narratives out the water regarding Arteta. And if the Kroenkes were serious, they should be asking why Slot can come in and win the title straight away on very little spent whereas Arteta is still floundering despite three quarters of a billion spent. They aren't getting value for money. The 'no pressure on Arteta' narrative might hold for now.But if come May, he fails to deliver a trophy not only is it ok to question his future...we should be questioning it. Big clubs do not allow 5 trophyless years, especially after £700m odd spent.Otherwise, what are we doing here? What is the ambition?
@@ahmadjomaa8675 Oh without a doubt. They are already rolling with that narrative. But it wont work. Yes Slot is walking into a better team than what Arteta did. But he also walked into a team that were behind Arsenal so how can he leapfrog us in one season despite spending less than Arteta this past Summer?
Let’s be honest, the title hopes are gone. It will either be Man City or Liverpool. We’ve regressed, the last two seasons we went up a gear. This season, we’re back to side to side football and no urgency. It’s now a top 4 race this season. We have Villa, Chelsea And even top spurs in the mix.
Signing Merino made no sense when we have Partey Rice and Jorginho. Even MLS is a deep lying CM by nature. We should have got a creative 8 - Wirtz, Musiala, Olmo, Eze plenty of options we could have gone for
Love how big Stricto is sat indoors with his coat on. Its like he just paused in the middle of his day debt collecting to jump on the pod. "Don't worry love, I'll be gone soon and I'm taking this cabinet with me"
Not feeling the Liverpool disrespect.they are playing well. Have cover for a number of positins and are getting games over the line. Looks like a title charge to me. To many arrogant arsenal fans. We can't even talk of title unless we get back to winning and playing well. After about a month or so then we can entertain that conversation. Dont get ahead of ourselves.
Damn, an arsenal fan who's actually in touch with reality... there aren't many of you around these days. Arteta looks done to me. He's turned the most exciting young team in the league into a near billion pound stoke tribute act in just two years. The only excuse for playing this way is winning trophies, and even that's a poor excuse... especially as arsenal aren't going to win the only two trophies they want. Better to fire arteta now and hire a proper coach like Iraola, rather than sell your footballing soul to win the carabao cup.
Its not about giving credits to opps bruv. Whether its City or Newcastle, we have to win every single game! Its about us Arsenal not doing what they're supposed to do as supposed title contenders
So, we can’t even evaluate our own team after a match without having some rival tell us what we should be thinking and saying, do fans like you ever get tired of sticking your nose in our business! Worry about your about own team!
Arsenal biggest problem is that they put all their effort on Manchester City, forgetting that every team in EPL can hurt you on a bad day. Just focus on the next game and forget what City is doing. Arsenal don't even rate Liverpool
If we compare the major moments in the Liverpool game and Arsenal game, Salah was visibly motivated to score to get the team the win. He absolutely SMASHED that ball to score. We don't have that in our team. Havertz had a similar moment when he smashed it against Southampton but then went missing again in the games after. We need a player in any of the front 3 that can drag us to wins in games like Newcastle away
Saka did. He put in a cross and Rice heads wide from 3 yards out. What more can a man do?? You can be motivated all you want but if your team aren't performing then you're as good as dead. As motivated as Salah was he still Nunez to get that pass right to score smh
Arteta left us short in attack and we are paying for it now. He wouldnt have to change to much if he kept ESR or just brought a replacement and a striker....... He loves to over complicate, when his job is supposed to be to simplify things for the players.
We changed up the style of play too much. I don't mind doing longer balls now and again but it seems to be overused and it's affecting our smooth transitional play that we dominated with last season. The creative flair has been stifled. Should only one midfielder be capable of making a forward incisive pass? Arteta has to refix some things, but also we was never going to go into all these big away games and be undefeated. That's a tough task with the top teams we've played already.
It's not 'disrespect', it's that they made no signings and there was no reason to think they would be title challengers. Not everything is a major drama.
I agree with this. It's more a feeling i have. They just don't get the proper analysis. You can tell they have another gear, and they are a WINNING machine. I think Liverpool will do it. They have European cup winners in that team
Don't bus early mate. Relax and take deep breathes. It's only 10 games in. Don't forget on the last 3 years we challenged for the quadruple 2x. Relax ffs!
After playing in all 10 PL games so far, Havertz is 12th in PL scoring list. With Haaland having nearly 3x the amount of goals (4-11), or Mbeumo/Brentford and Wood/Forest having twice as many goals (8), that tells a story of our CF.
@OG_Rider They've won the "We didn't lose to City at Etihad" trophy this season. Last season it was the "We Pushed City to the Final Day" trophy. Big accolades indeed. Only took 5 years and spending over 700 million!
WOW!!! You Arsenal fans have very short memories. Have you already forgotten where you were when he arrived? You were a joke and nowhere near competing for top four. He’s had to completely rebuild the team and the squad is nowhere near as big or strong as City’s or Liverpools. They also have experienced players who’ve won the big trophies and know what it takes to go again and stay competitive.
@@AchtungBaby77It takes big money to even be challenging and theres still no guarantees. Utd have spent arguably more and are still where they were when Arteta arrived. He’s come a long way to make you serious contenders and finish top four consistently.
Arteta ain’t going anywhere. He just signed a 3 year contract. I can’t see us winning anything with him. He’s done well to get us back in top 4 and the CL but that’s it.
I said it before if you give Donald Duck time, even Donald Duck will eventually figure it out. The problem is that we are not a big club. No big club would appoint a rookie as a manager as we did.
I like Arteta but I think £800m spent and we still don’t have a proper striker is not acceptable. We’re playing so poor as well as defending badly, flaccid in attack and leaking goals all the time. I’m losing faith in this manager even though I really like him and want him to be the guy that gets us over the line! We must win something this season, no more excuses.
@acediamond7524 you talking about the past few years or just a few games? 800m on a whole new team over a few seasons, people say it as if we're spending faar more than a anyone else. Saying that - games like the one against psg infuriate me, 2nd half was just hard to watch, not to say we always play like that but if we win trophies playing this sort of football I won't be watching.
I blame Arteta for what's happening firstly the AM role letting go of ESR and Veira, then behaving like kid that got a new toy playing Merino as an 8. Lastly he must know we ain't City teams are not intimidated by us teams will go toe for toe with us
What is the obsession with Merino, both before and after signing him. However he is playing slightly better than Rice, so drop Rice believe me he wouldn’t be missed right now!
@@Steve-uf8pkThat's crazy talk. Rice is the only legs we got in midfield without odegaard. Merino and partey ain't got the athleticism to keep up with any decent team smh
I blame Robbie as much as I praise Turkish and Lee Judges. Robbie eye is all clear now!!
This "Stricto" guy has restricted idea😂😂😂 He mentioned refree for Newcastle performance.😂😂😂 AFTV has done it again in finding another Ty,Robbie, Cecil,James and so.😂😂😂
The referee allowed Newcastle to do tactical fouls for more than an hour without handing out a yellow card, meanwhile Bournemouth got a yellow card by Michael Oliver in the fifth minute against Manchester City for their first tactical foul. The referees can definitely impact games just by the level they decide to set for the day.
@@Invisible-Wall Newcastle did more tactical and cynical fouls. They basically played like a Saudi Arabian Stoke City or something. If anything, Arsenal needs to learn to game the referees by either matching that type of behavior, but when they do they always get punished right away and the "dark arts" is suddenly a big talking point, or they should milk every situation by staying down when they're fouled and forcing the referees hand. All big teams are faking being hurt by challenges but Arsenal still has too many players who bounce right up on their feet every time. It's sympathetic but it doesn't work on terrible referees who only blows the whistle based on the reactions.
My worry is that even when Ødegaard comes back and say one game he has a quit game the other team have marked him out the game, we don’t have any other creative spark besides Saka in our team to dig us out 🤕
Yesterday's game was not a game about position, Arteta lacked the orientation for a game like this. Score them twice with quick passes and counter whenever they loose possession in final third and Newcastle will be forced out of their defensive shape. But we kept killing the tempo
Arteta had genuine chance to play Nwaneri in Odegaard’s position against Southampton and Leicester to grow his confidence. But he chose to play 3 players out of position to not start him.
This squad hasn't shown anything this season to say we're title contenders. We needed a couple of big attacking signings in the summer window to uplift the squad, but again, the Kroenke's fell short.

Arsenal fans will end up driving him out like they did with Wenger who still managed to get top four every year despite having to sell all his best players to pay for the stadium build. He wanted to leave, but agreed to stay as the club needed the extra revenue from the UCL. The grass is not always greener and be careful what you wish for. The tactics were awful from Arteta. No urgency, no creativity and slow asf too. We allowed Newcastle to get back to their shape every time when we have the ball because Gabriel and Saliba are taking so much time releasing the ball to the midfielders or wingers and we're so predictable, we depend alot on our wingers with no fullback inverting instead of trying to split Newcastle through Midfield or long balls.
If you remember rightly we spent most of the first half of last season very frustrated aswell. Same problems , had havertz in midfield , we was playing slow predictable shocking football , couldn’t create any chances, and we are seeing it all over again
Havertz is best as a 9, he has the skills BUT, his attitude, effort, body language and positioning needs 100% MORE. Why can't he be a beast we need?? COYFG
Arsenal fans keep disrespecting Liverpool because they just cannot handle the fact that Slot with no PR and no phases is challenging already for the title.
Not tonight, yeah?
Well said 👏
I can already smell the replies "Slot inheritted klopps amazing team, arteta had to rebuild" nonsense
On the contrary, I'd much rather them than City.
@@tvolution1 It's only 10 games gone. Calm down.
Let’s be honest, the title hopes are gone. It will either be Man City or Liverpool. We’ve regressed, the last two seasons we went up a gear. This season, we’re back to side to side football and no urgency. It’s now a top 4 race this season. We have Villa, Chelsea
And even top spurs in the mix.
Lfc fan. Agree. I also think many Arsenal fans have very short memories and forgotten where you were when he took over.
Big up Stricto..valid points 👏 plus, I completely forgot about how badly we deal with pressure 🤦🏽♀️

Arsenal fans never give credit to the opposition. Newcastle stopped Saka and out fought the Gooners. Joelinton and Guimarães beat you up again.
It's an Arsenal podcast mate, the focus will be completely on our performance. If you wanna listen to Newcastle paise, switch over to their channels.

Arteta can only take us to top four finish at best, know this and lower your expectations. He's just like Southgate and Brenda Rogers
Who's Brenda Rogers? She sounds nice.
The Arsenal injury crisis you keep banging on about…..is a MYTH.
Trust, it’s just a no Odegaard crisis 😂
Arsenal biggest problem is that they put all their effort on Manchester City, forgetting that every team in EPL can hurt you on a bad day. Just focus on the next game and forget what City is doing. Arsenal don't even rate Liverpool
The disrespect.
The aftv fans last season end dismissed Chelsea, Brighton, Liverpool and said only they can match up to City. The arrogance has caught up to us
They are always delusional 😂😂
Jordan on epilepsy settings for the entire pod 😵
Lego man foolishly trying to stuff merino in so he moves partey out of position, just like he did at first with Havertz
Now that Edu is leaving , Arteta will follow soon
hopefully
15million a year. I doubt it
1 trophy in 5 seasons, and we still playing poorly. ARTETA G2g
I hear Brenda Rogers is interested in replacing him.
To be honest, we never gonna be anywhere near the title with Havertz as our main striker. Forget it
Issues with the wage bill again now, we cant sign actual level raisers because we have bad players like havertz and jesus on 300k
I used to think Turkish is negative but a lot his points he has been making is so right
Poor bloke looks half-dead after enduring another Arsenal loss. He'll go full Bleakish next week if we lose to Chelsea.
Liverpool disrespect from rival fans and pundits alike in August now looks stupid.😂
Congratulations on winning the PL title for 2024/25.
The arsenal delusion is great entertainment 😂
Don't bus early mate. Relax and take deep breathes. It's only 10 games in.
Don't forget on the last 3 years we challenged for the quadruple 2x.
Relax ffs!
After playing in all 10 PL games so far, Havertz is 12th in PL scoring list.
With Haaland having nearly 3x the amount of goals (4-11), or Mbeumo/Brentford and Wood/Forest having twice as many goals (8), that tells a story of our CF.
We ain't winning the league 😢 FA cup is as good as it gets.
Arteta does it every year. Has cost us many cups with unnecessary experimentation
He did on purpose playing Partey at RB
You can’t argue with what Turkish is saying… pure facts.
If Arteta doesn’t win a 🏆 this season “It’s time to go.” ⏰ is ticking…

Who's guaranteed to improve us? We get more luck with the refs and the table looks well different.
He will be sacked if we finish 8th
The Italian Job but it’s just James putting laxatives in Inter’s pre match meal
I blame Arteta for what's happening firstly the AM role letting go of ESR and Veira, then behaving like kid that got a new toy playing Merino as an 8. Lastly he must know we ain't City teams are not intimidated by us teams will go toe for toe with us
What is the obsession with Merino, both before and after signing him. However he is playing slightly better than Rice, so drop Rice believe me he wouldn’t be missed right now!

He mentioned refree for Newcastle performance.😂😂😂
AFTV has done it again in finding another Ty,Robbie, Cecil,James and so.😂😂😂

When did i mention the ref?
The referee allowed Newcastle to do tactical fouls for more than an hour without handing out a yellow card, meanwhile Bournemouth got a yellow card by Michael Oliver in the fifth minute against Manchester City for their first tactical foul. The referees can definitely impact games just by the level they decide to set for the day.
@@ruthraiboth teams did tactical fouls, stop blaming refs for poor disgusting performances

The guy in the top right is hard to listen to.
My worry is that even when Ødegaard comes back and say one game he has a quit game the other team have marked him out the game, we don’t have any other creative spark besides Saka in our team to dig us out 🤕
Xaka is a better player then merino he is as slow as a snail
Yesterday's game was not a game about position, Arteta lacked the orientation for a game like this.
Score them twice with quick passes and counter whenever they loose possession in final third and Newcastle will be forced out of their defensive shape.

Have Arsenal fans already forgotten where you guys were when he arrived? You were nowhere near challenging or qualifying for the UCL. He’s done amazing considering its his first job and he’s going to make mistakes along the way. He’s still learning. Same as West Ham fans who wanted Moyes out after everything he did for them, even winning a European trophy and look at them now.
