  • I’ve owned my Vw T5 for almost 7 years and got a puncher, not only did my spare not fit my van…..but I also had a broken spare wheel bolt(two bolts that hold up the rear wheel bracket).I ordered a new one to replace the sheared one…..I made this video to show me replacing it…
I’d also like to mention(a big thanks to one of my subscribers Bob Bobber)who messaged me saying that a lot of people who have alloy wheels, don’t think about keeping some of the standard wheel nuts to fit the standard spare wheel(as in most cases the alloy wheel nuts are to small to fit a standard wheel)very very valuable point.Cheers Bob👍😉🤘

A quick tip mate FORGET WD40 - with proper seized bolts it does NOWT! Use PLUS GAS - I swear by it and over the years its NEVER failed toget bolts free - otherwise rusted bolts just LAUGH at WD40. Ive gotta drop my wheel and see if my bolts come out. I soeaked them MONTHS ago in PLus Gas so fingers crossed! ALSO get yourself some MOLE GRIPS they shift ANYTHING! Another trick once a stuck bolt DOES turn DONT try to wind it right out. the way is LOOSEN - TIGHTEN - LOOSEN - TIGHTEN bit by bit it will come out. byt tightening you take the nice oily bit of bolt BACK into the nut. Theres nowt worse than cracking a nut or bolt of then rushing to just wind it right out and the last 2 threads STICK AGAIN and its an angle grinder or hacksaw job!

Are you sure there was only the 2 bolts✌️..... (closest emoji l could find) 😂😂😂, Paul that looked a real pain and baltic as well🥶. Good post though as who bothers with the spare until you need it, and by then it's usually to late. Definitely better audio, but keep going with the Gopros.... 😁👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧

Hi, if you have alloys then the wheel bolts tend to be different to steel wheels.
Do you carry spare bolts too? Something people dont think of
