Ursula k Le Guin and Margaret Atwood. Two of my favourite authors. I have read Ursula Le Guin's books since I was a young person, and have continued ever since. I will miss reading the next, but I will always have my collections of her books. And this year 2020 I purchased the beautiful edition of The Books of Earthsea. A fitting tribute to her

This is so beautiful. Even the way Atwood moves the book in her arms after reading the excerpt clearly says something.

❤ The palpable, deep, vulnerable appreciation, both personally and from a truly skilled professional colleague, is so rewarding to listen to.

Thank you Margaret Atwood. Yes, Ursula K Le Guin has the best dragons. It is a privilege to read you both because you are both "pretty clever".

Atwood: "where did the ones who walk away from Omelas go?
    "
Le Guin: "nice weather we´re having."
    - - - Indeed... how to answer this anyway, or why? "They go to another Omelas" or "it doesnt matter" or "they go to a worse but more honest place". "Nice weather" is a good answer : )

I think so, too. At the story's end, Le Guin says the ones who walk away from Omelas "seem to know where they are going." It's a magical ambiguity. They may not know where they're going, but they have an *idea* they must follow.

Everyone tends to talk Earthsea. I think LeGuin's greatest contribution was SF, without huge shootouts but humanity, empathy, and the care for the world as a whole.

I prefer biograph -type of writing. Writing is our voice. TY. One can express the deepest ideas n emotions in writing.
