This version helps me not bawl at every listen. I put off watching the final episode for over two months as I knew what was going to happen but I wasn’t prepared. I only just watched it four days ago & now I cry when I listen to it, which is constantly as I love it so much. I actually discovered the song before the show & the visuals impelled me to watch. Immediately I loved it. It was so immersive, as if I lived in Night City, & I was so invested in the characters as they were so fleshed out (haha fleshed out when they were replacing their flesh with technology). This song was my summer song. I was living in France for two months & this song defined my trip there, as in it was my anthem. It made me feel alive & confident. Now it makes me cry, in public too, especially on the subway, & I live in NYC so no one says anything to you if you’re crying. Absolutely nothing from no one. Sometimes they do stare though when they think you don’t notice them. Anyway this version hasn’t made me cry yet, which I’m so thankful for. That doesn’t mean that the song isn’t brilliant as it is. It’s so gorgeous & I love it even more at .75 speed. I don’t know what hardstyle is either, but it works perfectly for the song. Thank you for not making me cry & making me feel alive again. I hope in time I won’t cry every time when listening to the original. It’s only been four days… I do hope I can deal with my emotions better… I was just so invested in the show, as I said. I want to be Lucy for Halloween. I don’t have enough time to order the actual cosplay except for the wig. But I will try to put the costume together on my own. I think I can get close & maybe do some sewing to perfect it. Wish me luck!

It's definitely going to take some time to get over but I personally take solace in the song by distilling and thinking about the message of the story: be honest, open, and communicate with your significant other. That and I reminisce on Lucy and David's early time together when they were just having fun. Another thing, if you play the game, it WILL hit you with this song, so just be prepared for that.
Conversely, I listened to the original so much that this one gives life to those emotions again. I still don't think I'm prepared for another re-watch, it's just so sad man. I still have dreams about David and Lucy on the moon together. They always have a sad end.
