If anyone can see this... Hello I'm the vocal in this song, at first I just covered it for fun, and I'm not a English person, sorry for the accent, and I think I cutted too much noise lol. Didn't have much time to record this one but love this song. And really love this remix!
Always was. People just forget. A lot of people are under the impression that Cyberpunk was a trend that started only in the past couple of years and when Vaporwave kicked off. In reality, it's been around for more than 40 years. Bladerunner, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc. There are so many properties that wanted to explore this genre of a future with boundless technology still limited by the vices of man. And most of them just so happen to come out of the 80's. The 80's didn't just influence Cyberpunk, it's integral to it.
@@Impalingthorn No one forgets that, that's literally the whole point of cyberpunk. The vision of future from the past is what cyberpunk and synthwave stands for, vaporwave is the opposite, it's the vision of the past from the future.
A past that hasn't happened yet? Do you mean one that never happened? or a future that didn't happen yet? but then it wouldn't be nostalgia, more like longing.
It's like something nostalgic saying goodbye to me and I hate it, it's making my head hurt because I didn't even know I was holding on and now I don't want to let go...

@@joaquinvaleri7022 Check out a song called "Seventeen" by The Midnight. There are a few other songs on their Monsters album that have this same great vibe.
the song low-key makes me want to cry. The anime was such a shockingly good project of art, im so sad it ended and it even made me want to go play cyberpunk 2077 the actual game, Lucy and David will forever be such a great. couple
you should. The game was really rough at launch but after all the recent work is very stable and will likely go down as one of the greats even if just for the characters and world.
This version is what the song would sound like if they were all alive... Rebecca surviving with her half of her body mostly intact Lucy thinking its better now but then sees David actually alive and they both hug and kiss each other and they sat down on the moon's surface with a drink on their hands holding it up, the same with their crew also But then again.. Night City doesnt have happy endings...🥲
Ayy, super glad to run into another The Midnight fan out in the wild! And yes, I got the same vibes as well, with the drums especially. The drums are very similar to what The Midnight uses.
I’ve heard so many remixes of this amazing song, but this might easily be my favorite(“Let’s Eat Grandma” is AMAZING live, btw! Just saw them in December😊)
My only issue with this cover, because overall it's absolutely brilliant, is that the "I don't know why I'm no one" line is removed (or I just can't hear it) and that moment in the show when this line plays... is a powerful and painful moment. Other than that this is a beautiful cover. I love it :)
Even after some time I remember this anime and this song awakens memories of when I started watching Cyberpunk Edgerunners and no matter how much time passes I will always cry when I listen to this song and I will say that the remix is incredibly beautiful and I will never forget Cyberpunk Edgerunners because it is in my heart, soul and memory forever
Yeah this is true cyberpunk for old type humans like me. Always cyberpunk should be have an imperfection like this song. That’s why this song is perfect.
1:32 For some reason this instrumental really completes this song. Its so nostalgic and feels like sweet memories playing in your mind along with 1:40 "ba ba ba ba" underneath the melody that's like those memories are distant twinkling stars. What a fantastic remix!
This song hurts me so much but brings back such good memories. Why was this show so fucking good, and why did they have to do my heart dirty like this?!
