      Yes and it's because you're adding length to the struts. Camber bolt kit and SPC upper control arms will fix the problem. I didn't realize until later when our tires wore out on the outside. I've posted a more recent video about these issues.

    My install was going great until the lower bolt on the strut would not budge. Heated it up with a blow torch, put a 4 ft pipe on a breaker bar and finally broke it loose. I found that lifting up both sides of the truck made the sway bar removal much easier. It will be in a “bind” if you lift one side at a time.

    • @NaritasanStudios
      @NaritasanStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah this was my first time disassembling the front suspension so looking back in hindsight there's plenty I could have done better. This is more of a how to but also what not to do. Lol everyone's bolts are gonna be different too because of where you live might have more moisture causing rust or might have salt in the air and are corroded and snap off when loosening nuts and bolts. But if you watch this video it will give you the general know how to get it done.

    I installed the PRG 2 inch leveling kit with the 1.5 inch rear blocks on my Pro 4X. I decided not to video because sometimes I just want to work on my stuff in private but I wish that I had. I didn't have any issues with installing the spacer, but I installed new cam bolts AFTER reinstalling the strut. That was a mistake. I misaligned the front of the lower control arm and panicked. I was so frustrated that I decided to remove the spacer and everything just fell back into place.
    For the passenger side, I installed the cam bolts BEFORE reinstalling the strut and it was so much easier.
    Lessons learned are always worth sharing.

    Ok so I have a crew cab Nissan Frontier 2006 xe, I was curious, how does it ride after the kit was installed? Are there any issues with it? And did you only need to buy the spacer or did you have to purchase other items?

    • @NaritasanStudios
      @NaritasanStudios  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sweet Revenge52 it rides the same accept you feel a little lifted in the front. Nothing changed drastically so I didn't need to make any other mods or add ons. Now this can vary between trucks as not all vehicles are created equally so take it with a grain of salt because your experience could be different than ours. We all have different driving styles as well so there are a few variables to consider.
      No issues as of yet, but if you ask my wife she will tell you she has one issue but I relate it to her driving style. She hears a clack noise once in awhile that if I had to guess is the uca hitting the coil bucket once in a while. She also drives like a bat out of hell so again it boils down to how you drive. It can be fixed by either trimming the buckets or getting aftermarket uca's but in my opinion isn't worth the money for aftermarket uca's. I'd rather upgrade to a Titan swap for around the same cost as most uca's.

    Did you need a special tool for the ball joint? Or did you have any problems with it free spinning when installing it back on? Thanks

    • @NaritasanStudios
      @NaritasanStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're re installing the old ball joint it will spin so I just apply pressure to the shaft with the spindle if that makes sense and once it's finger tight it continues to tighten without pressure. The new one I didn't have to worry because it's very stiff brand new. So it tightened with no problems. Only thing I didn't like about these ball joints is they didn't have a cotter safety pin. Just a nylon lock nut. Which seems to be holding up pretty good so far.

    This is a comedy, right? You do not have to remove the ball joint from the spindle to UCA to remove the complete coil over assembly. Just the top three bolts. the sway bar bolts (both sides) to swing the sway bar out of the way of the lower shock bolt. And to add the spacer, a lot easier with the compete coilover assembly removed to mount the spacer.

      I didn't measure before I did the install but I know I got 2" at the fender so if assume I got 2" at the diff.

    • @JeepTrailsandBarbells
      @JeepTrailsandBarbells ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Claysfun not on a IFS, when you do a coil spacer lift, it pre loads the coils and pushes the control arms down, lifting the differential cross member up. In turn, lifting the differential up.
      If you did a drop braket lift, then yes, you would be right it would only gain clearance when you put larger tires like a straight axle. But a IFS works differently then that, depending on the lift you do.

    • @Claysfun
