I remember many years ago just after Sinterklaas evening (basically Christmas for us before Christmas) when a friend of mine showed me a talking doll his little sister received. Now this doll could say various lines but in order to do so you had to switch tapes that could be inserted in the back. As I was curious about what lines it could speak my friend switched a tape and then turned it on. All we got to hear was the doll making this weird mechanical buzzing sound but for some reason it was absolutely hilarious.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt as long as I could. I was a fan from the beginning, but even I had my limits on how much of a decline I could take.
The children's cheer after a horrific scene of the mother gooses head being chopped off is amazing and so relevant to how children respond to violence in place of a safely "sheltered" train ride
I laughed hysterically when Bart said, "What a load of crappy crap crap!" And when Grandpa exclaims, "Well I'm sorry! But it's 150 degrees in the car!" 😂
What? You mean rides have safety information for a reason? Maybe I shouldn't stand up at the top of the coaster lift hill to dance for my Tik Tok after all!
He apparently didn't learn from that Duff Gardens incident where he sneaked on the Barrel Roll with candy apples stuck to his feet and ended up hanging off the car in the middle of a loop.

Notice how the wolf if blowing down the first pig’s straw house, yet there are three pigs inside when in this point of the story there would be one. Boy I hope someone got fired for that blunder.
The bit with Bart on the ride was great. For once, his misbehaving actually has consequences and teaches him a lesson. Much funnier and more satisfying than stuff he did in later seasons, where he acts like a brat and is rewarded for it.
The Tunnel moving. That's what killed me. I thought he was just going to hit his head, that would have been funny enough. But watching Bart's reaction to the tunnel becoming stuck and everything pile up in front of him as a consequence of his actions and ending up slamming his face into the crotch of robotic Paul Bunyan - that's just pure classic Simpsons.
A lot of the earlier stuff he learned lessons from it. They just decided to go all in on silly antics for everyone in the later seasons, with no repercussions.
The part with Bart and the kiddie train always gets me! I'm surprised he was dumb enough to sneak onto a ride that was too underage for him, not only due to the fact that the clearance under the tunnel was too low, but he probably would've hated it because it would've been, in his opinion, just for babies, like everything else in the park. I loved how the little ones cheered instead of freaking out when Paul Bunyan's ax chopped off Mother Goose's head. Bart was probably their hero after that. He made the kiddie train ride way more interesting!
