  • Hi Guys..
    In this video you will see DB Killer / Baffle removal from Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust for Kawasaki Ninja 1000sx. Initially I thought it to be a simple task, but it was harder than I imagined.
    Took me around 2.5 hours to finish the complete procedure including installation.
    Tools used required to do this job : Drill, 6mm drill bit, hammer, plier, ratchet set, Rivet gun with 4.8mm tip, 4.8mm X 12mm rivets.
    I have been doing all sorts of modification/repair/ experimentation on my personal items for long time now.. but never posted any video..
    This is my first attempt.. hope you like it
    Don't forget to like and share.. your appreciation will motivate me..
    Hope to share new videos soon...

    Thank you for sharing.
    The fact that you have provided the rivet sizes etc. will really help.
    I had some welders take it for me when I first got my Akrapovic. Although I watched them do it but I was very apprehensive about trying it myself. Now after a couple years I want it back in because I believe I may have lost some power by removing it. Your video is a great refresh and I am sure I can do it by myself👍

    Thanks for taking the hard way. it actually didn’t look that hard and it’s a lot better’s than having a hole in the side of your akraprovic. I’m definitely going to use your method. 👍👍

      True that.. it's not that hard if you are already into DIY. For me the hardest part was to edit the video afterwards.. took longer than the actual job 😂😂
      I am good at DIY but noob at vlogging ... 😢

    Hard work. It was all shiny and new when you got it. By the time you finished it's scuffed and dented lol.
    Good job though :)

      Be positive 🤨
      there is enough negativity in the world.

      I don't think there is any dent, in fact not till date.
      Btw, last week someone scuffed the carbon fibre part, in the parking lot of my office.. so your prediction turned out to be true..

    Hello. Could you try to give some measurements so I can just drill a hole. I need some noise and I sure can think of better things to do with my time than run around my house after bits of exhaust))))

    Great video but why install a slip-on without removing the catalyst ? there are no differences 🤔

    Can you please tell me if at the end of the terminal there was the catalytic converter?

    • @inline4tales
      @inline4tales  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for late reply.. I haven’t been active in YT lately.. in N1K, the catalytic converter is in the middle section of the header pipes and at the end there is resonator box ( also known as bread box)

    Don't you lose horse power and back pressure without the baffle?

    • @QSpeedRacer
      @QSpeedRacer 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Back pressure which only matters at low rpm .. higher rpm you need more free flowing

    Sir did you try removing the DB killer from the Stock Exhaust ?
    What is the price of this Akrapovic Exhaust?

    • @inline4tales
      @inline4tales  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bro, in stock exhaust db killer is not removable, its welded. If we manage to cut the weld, it won't look good. Besides in stock exhaust the fibreglass layer is much thicker, so removing the db killer won't make much difference.
      Once you remove that from stock, it will be difficult to re-fix it.
      The price is around 1L- 1.2L ..

      BTW, if you visit US or you have any friends or relatives there, you can buy from revzilla or similar stores and bring the exhaust in check in luggage.. if are lucky and airport customs dont catch that, you can actually save a lot of money.. worked for me.. of course there are lot of "if"s

    Fuck, that was one of the most painful viewing experiences I think I've ever watched. Your daughter probably came out to see if you wanted her to finish the installation quicker to put us all out of our misery.
    On the plus side, the pipe looks good on the bike....

      LOL)))))))))))))))))))))))))) I nearly grew a beard like a Rododendron bush watching it. All I wanna know is where to drill the hole)))))))

    Well if you want to butcher a perfectly good exhaust, that's the way to do it.
    You should have left it alone

    • @inline4tales
      @inline4tales  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agree but think about it.. why it had the baffle bolted? Why not welded like the stock ones? How come I could undress it so easily?? I think in reality, this exhaust has some kind of twisted fetish of being "butchered".. I could see that it was enjoying every bit of the process.. 🤣🤣

      @inline4tales should been made easily removable. Mine sounds no different than stock
