All these “camps” should be shut down.

I haven’t followed the story over the years but I’m astonished at the lack of contact or support from her parents. She testified this took place over a two year period. How can you NOT KNOW that your child is being abused and assaulted ?? Despite the grueling circumstances, she’s such a lovely young woman, I’m happy she has found happiness.

The organization are very manipative and don't even send the letters and things home. Tell them how bag the kids still are etc. Heaps of stories online from people who where at these camps.

I was a parent who did not know despite keeping in close contact with my daughter. Parents are lied to and with kids being placed on meds and also having behavior problems it is hard to tell. I can easily see how her parents are fooled because I was one of them.

Her parents paid to have her kidnapped out of her bed and forced into a van at 3am, by enormous male strangers. Even if they thought she was going to a spa retreat, they have some serious soul searching to do. That's enough to traumatize any child for life. It's obvious from the way Paris talks that they only care about their image- she's always making excuses for them. I fell she still needs to grieve the fact that her family betrayed her

I almost went that route from my father, but my mother saved me. I slept on her living room floor until I became of age, about 8 months. I wasn't ever in trouble. I never stole or caused any problems. My father refused to pay child support, so I was sent to his mother's. (My grandmother) He was never there. she kept my child support and gave it to her favorite grandchild for gas money, and she also bought things she needed. At that time, I didn't understand ulterior motives in anyone. He was violent and beat me. The State ordered him to stay away from me. Meanwhile, they tried to create truancy in me during my age 15, but others stepped in and provided transportation. By age 16, I was able to take a GED.

I just want to say, ppl did talk about adhd back then. They did a whole 60 min segment on it in the 90s and talked about Ritalin, the kids on it, I watched it as a kid cause that is what my parents watched and I happened to be home, and all that. And I remember early 90s, I knew kids on Ritalin for adhd in my tiny little corn town in the Midwest.... That now doesn't even have a movie theater... But they still talked about adhd there in the early 90s and treated kids for it, even though the town was backwards, behind the times, and tiny.
