    could these pumps be used to increase pressure and flow on a regular water filter?

    Would this be the same setup if you have a storage tank?

    Thanks for the video. Is there a way to adjust the pressure switch to shut off at 60 PSI instead of 40 PSI?

    • @BRStv
      @BRStv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This particular pressure switch is pre-set to trigger at 40 psi, but is adjustable from 30-60 psi. There is an extremely small set screw on top of the pressure switch if you need to make an adjustment.

    I know its kind of off topic but I was wondering if y'all had anything related to taking care of decorative sponges on your channel, I've been looking and cant quite seem to find much info about them online besides a few forum threads and some extremely outdated yt videos and I've always loved filter feeding animals and wanted to try keeping them in my tank but don't want to do it incorrectly cause I hate seeing things die cause I did something wrong. If y'all don't is it something y'all would consider covering since yall are my favorite source of aquarium knowledge? (hint hint brs160 hint hint)

    Right now my pressure is at 60 on my 150 gpd water saver ro/di. Should I boost it or with the booster increase the pressure too much?

    Doesn’t the pump have a dial to adjust the out going pressure?

    Is anybody else nervous about the brs 160. I haven’t seen any updates since the Triton conversion. Hope nothing went wrong

    What kind of connections are holding the tubing to the wall?

    My 500 gallon collection vat is fed by a 75 GPD RO/DI system. I recently switched out the filters and emptied the collection vat which resulting in a massive drop in pressure- 15psi- so the RO/DI system is only producing 20 gallons per day. I installed a pressure pump and pressure switch in hopes that it would raise the pressure to atleast 40psi... but it didn’t work. After I installed the booster pump and switch- the pressure didn’t change at all...
    This problem is putting a massive dent in my water changing schedule... I’ve been looking at purchasing a pre-pressurized water storage tank- would that help pressurize the 500 gallon vat? I’ve pressurized a 100 gallon collection vat with a bike valve and bike pump before- would this option work for the 500 gallon collection vat? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Is there anyway to get debris out of my pump if it sucked some up?

    • @BRStv
      @BRStv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 8800 booster pump isn't user serviceable, so unfortunately, no.

    Randy, do all booster pumps come adjustable? I have a D-D one on my source water of about 30PSI and it only takes it up to about 40 through the pump. If so, how is this done?
    Thanks, great video.

    Where does the wire on the switch go

    • @BRStv
      @BRStv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      there is a y cable that it'll attach to. The connectors are all set up so that you can't wire it backwards.

    This is why you got so many dislikes you're going way too fast you're explaining one thing and then jump into another in the middle of the explanation before going to the next step I don't know if this video is meant to confuse people but you're doing a good job at it and the dislikes show it, you need to simply show where to connect the line going into the pump from the pump to the RO system and then simply show where to connect the pressure switch that's it worry about everything else after the first explanation is done very confusing and very frustrating

      This is true... I'm missing a real schema and explanations about the different valves. However, your video is useless as it's too fast and too vague.
