    Can a booster pump be used as a delivery pump from the RO tank to faucet?
    Great vid btw 😃👍🏼

    That is a really good product. Thumbs up.

      +NYCity Cichlids Thanks! It significantly improved the performance of my RODI unit.

    Great video as always! Your set up is different than the way BRS had me set up mine. They had me install the booster pump first in line. from the source water then into first sediment filter. Also the pressure switch is in a deferent place. They suggest putting it inbetween the water coming out of the Ro canister then into the di canister.

      +adroc31 Thanks! It is interesting that they had you do the install differently.

    Great review! I have the 90gpd unit, my pressure is right at 40psi. I'm going to have to pick one of these this year sometime!

      +pelphrey Thanks! Yes, it really boosted my water production and will extend cartridge life.

      I agree, great video... quick question, I have a 300 gpd spartan rodi system, at what psi do you suggest it should be at?

    • @ReefBum
      @ReefBum  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I am not familiar with that system but I know from using Spectrapure units over the years that any system with pressure under 40 PSI requires a booster pump to increase the pressure to optimize membrane performance. I would double check with the manufacturer to be sure.

      +ReefBum please making a video for how to adjust booster pump pressure
      because my pump is jenret extra pressure 120 psi.
      and my membrane housing is cracked again and again
      pls make a video

    hello i have a question !
    Can i increase the water flow by using the screw?

    • @KillaKlownFPV831
      @KillaKlownFPV831 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      nope, you can only decrease the max psi to adjust, it will not give you more

    Was that meant to say "make at least 20 gallons"? I would think running to fill a large water container of say brute trash cans is actually better than making less than 20 gallons per use. And you did say little on and off's will decrease life...but confused about 20 gallon limit to prolong life of filters. Thanks, good video very to the point

      +e90Bimmer Thanks! Spectrapure recommends running it for 20 gallons at a time to maximize cartridge and membrane life. It certainly seems to be working for me.

    I added 5 micron sediment filter in front of the booster, so my 1 micron and pump don't get mucked up

    Why did you switch the short yellow tubing beside pressure switch?

    i have one of those pumps but im having a little trouble with the tso vale it kicks in to late the tank is almost empty when the tso valve kicks i need it to turn on a little sooner. I noticed that you conected the tso valve after the flow restrictor does that make a diffrence? i have mine connected to the tank

    I have a 90 gpd and just purchased a booster pump. I followed all the instructions and yet my booster pump seems to shoot right to 90+ psi. When I lower it after a few seconds it stops allowing the water to flow

    Where did you get the fittings for the tubing?

    • @ReefBum

      They came with the booster pump

    I have my booster pump pressure switch hooked up to the output tube, can't figure out why the booster pump won't come on

    I have a 75gpd unit and I get 50 psi without any pump. I had recently hooked up this particular pump so i can boost up my pressure, come to find out the pressure drops and stayed at 45 psi with the pump. This is frustrating. I guess I am going to do more research on how this thing works.

      Did you check you don’t have flow restricters from pump to membrane?
