- Donald Trump took a jab at former President Jimmy Carter on his milestone 100th birthday. The comment was made as Trump spoke at a manufacturing facility in Waunakee, Wis., on Tuesday, Oct. 1. After stating that President Joe Biden was “the worst president,” Trump said Carter is now “the happiest man because Carter is considered a brilliant president by comparison.” Carter, a democrat from Georgia, served for one term from 1977 to 1981. He is the first American president who has lived a full century.

I am so happy that President Carter got to spend his 100th birthday with family and friends and well wishes in his community of Plains, Georgia, and with a military flyover from the military and the nation he’s so proudly served. He and 22 others worked on the nuclear reactor to bring it down to safe measures. He was only 28 when he exposed himself to the leaking radiation that the team members could only be exposed to for 90 seconds at a time otherwise it would have been fatal. I admire him very much and hope he lives for a long time.

And what did Carter do that was good?? My dad almost lost his business due to Carter’s policies. Carter shut down America’s economy with his expensive gas, gas rationing, national 55 mph speed limit, job-killing regulations, refusal to try to get the hostages out of Iran, and much more. It was a disaster. Things started picking up immediately after Reagan’s 49 state landslide victory, getting the hostages released, and his tax cuts that built a robust economy lasting until 2006 with the Clinton housing bubble bursting. There was nothing good about Carter’s presidency except for the day it was over!
