Very nice solutions to intricate and ongoing micro yet practical problems faced in ICU. Please throw some light on how to counter leakage in case of bearded patients.

The mask is dismantable can be wiped. Cleaned around the nose region, the face mask is padded around the nose not to injure the mandible or the region around the nose . Bipap needs vented mask and the ventilator niv mask has non vented mask . Vented is ciolour coded for a bipap machine

Can we use cotton gauze cutting in butterfly shape instead silicone nose pad for prevention of pressure injuries as it is cost effective and can be used very easily particularly in rural settings.
