Excellent video! You captured how the weathering looks perfectly and your lighting setup is solid. When slideshow did their first look I couldn’t even see the weathering as the lighting blew out the whites on the armor. Thanks for a great walkthrough on this one.
Pre-ordered three of these because I figured the pauldron was removable and I wanted a couple more Imperial stormtroopers. Pleased to see a plan cone to fruition!
Decided to circle back to this amazing video because I'm thinking of picking up a couple more. I have this idea to have one commander, two grunts, one artillery and one incinerator trooper (if I can find an incinerator trooper at a reasonable price). You know, just build a little squad. I also dig the dirt on the armor. It makes them look more battle tested. Yeah, I think it's time to grab a couple more. 😁
I literally just ordered two of these a couple days ago lol. I'm planning on having my troopers posted up behind the Moff Gideon figure when he finally drops

Another fantastic video! This is a "must have" for any Star Wars sixth scale collector. You can't go wrong with extra weapons and the new magnetic canister is a great bonus. I also like the extra weathering on the figure. I'm definitely thinking about picking up more than one!
The little blaster rifle is the E-11 Jedha. You said DC-15. But I understand the slip, I mean how many 501sts and Coruscant Guards did you buy again? I forget.

Best thing about these is that if you buy multiple and remove the pauldron, you can have an improved version of the plain RO stormtrooper!

You're right - I went back on Sideshow, and it is called Stormtrooper Commander. Weird. Has hot toys ever changed the name of a figure between announcement and release?

As someone who as stormtrooper armour the range of movement on the hot toy is wayyyyyy more than in real life. 😂
I have 3 troopers already (including the orange pauldron Jedha Patrol trooper), so I'm probably not picking this up, despite it being an incredible figure.
Happy others will get a chance to own a great trooper though!

Hello, love your videos. I am starting to set up a hobby room and I am going to be collecting several figures to add to my empty display cabinets. What are some beginner friendly starting point? So far I am thinking Hasbro Black Series and maybe some kotobukiya models. is that a good way to start? if not what are your recommendations please
First time I saw that figure. So I looked up ad saw that I literally cant preorder it here in Germany, what a misere. Only way to get it would be importing it via sideshow, would cost me like 400 to 450€. So I have to miss out on this figure, sadly

anyone bothered by that horizontal line weathering on the helmet? its so distinct that if you buy 2 or more its going to look like the same trooper. they also did this with the coruscant guard. they put that round weathering on the helmet
This is my concern as well. How difficult would it be to remove that line of weathering on the helmet?
@@6119gretsch i saw someone on fb use a very thin sandpaper and he managed to remove all the blues from the 501st. it looked good from the picture but idk how it is upclose. these toys are too expensive to fool around
The “Coruscant Guard” trooper is Commader Thire so it makes sense that he has distinct battle damage

Still waiting on Rex as well
I'm waiting on six Rexes and the arrival date just keeps getting pushed back and back... Very frustrating, especially considering we are getting figures released after Rex arriving before Rex. How does that even happen? Will Rex ever get here? Immigration are probably being dicks to him. LOL.

I never got into this new design of the Stormtrooper, toy-wise. It's look good in movies but not as good in person compared to the originals. The original Stormtrooper figures actually look very realistic, more natural-looking as if there's an actual person wearing a suit on a 1/6 scale. This new one looks very toy-ish.
To me, I much rather prefer the new Rogue One style stormtroopers than the older, goofy looking ones.

Why's this a "Hot Toys Exclusive"? Isn't every product they make exclusive to Hot Toys? That's like slapping an McDonald's exclusive label on every Big Mac, it's implied and redundant.
It's exclusive to select markets silly, also they may have produced smaller numbers, no one knows as HT doesnt reveal their production numbers

@@chocotastic1 I mean I get "Sideshow" exclusive because they are a retailer. I get "con" exclusive because it's an event. I've never heard of "manufacturer" exclusive.
@@krispurdy78 well when you go on OTHER sites, it may not be available. hence the term "exclusive to certain markets".
@@krispurdy78 like I said, they may be making smaller run of them. could be the only diff, that and sold in select markets. although you purchased freely from Sideshow, they may be harder to purchase in say, China for example, or the UK.
