It's ridiculous that Mnet did more in ONE NIGHT to promote CLC than CUBE has done all year. Yeeun was trending hardcore on Twitter and Naver after this episode aired, and I have no doubt that CUBE simply ignored it. Yeeun's "Barbie" dance practice isn't even on any of the official CUBE channels - just some side channel that I think the artists maintain. CUBE isn't just sleeping on CLC (again), they are DETERMINED to sleep on them, and it is infuriating...
Cube sent Yeeun to Good Girl to promote her and CLC, that is why these idols go on these shows. Cube is trying to get their names out there so people will know who they are.
And the group that is uploading the dance practices and other behind the scenes stuff is Cube’s video team. And they track 8 different groups/artists with 1 to 9 members per group/artist. They do not have to put forth the extra effort and release bts, rehearsal, and dance practice videos. They are doing it for the fans. Just because you do not agree with something a business is or isn’t doing, doesn’t mean you can disrespect other people’s hard work. Cube is a business, their goal is to earn money so they will do whatever they need to earn money.
And the BIGGEST way to PROMOTE groups/artists in KOREA is through game, variety, and competitive shows OR through acting in dramas. Acting/variety shows is how BTOB started gaining recognition through Sungjae’s acting and variety shows. Just because it doesn’t seem like Cube is doing anything, doesn’t make that true. Unless you work there and KNOW what is happening and why these decisions were made, you really don’t have the right to judge the decisions.
