WordPress with Elementor vs. WebFlow - Word Press wins hands down all the time.

But Elementor makes the site too heavy and affects load time in most cases, I have experienced this before

WOW, this video is SO MISLEADING. There's no thing you can't customize in WordPress as efficiently if not even more efficiently than in the Webflow. We've been building custom website design in Wordpress for 9 years now, 5 out of which we've been doing it in Oxygen builder, designing and customizing the design down to the pixel, way before any Webflow mania hit. Don't get me wrong, I think Webflow is great, but the only real advantage of Webflow over WordPress is animation options.

YES. It's just incredible how utterly false this video is about WordPress. WordPress certainly has pros and cons, but this guy is totally wrong about customization.

I love WordPress pricing but man I hate needing so many plugins for things. I love how customizable Webflow is.

Thanks for the video. I make most of my websites with wordpress. Gonna have to look into SEO and Caching etc

Ok comparision, but with Elementor Pro & Hello theme you're not necessarily locked into a "theme" or lack customization. WebFlow is marketed as "no-code" but in order to be able to really get down to the nitty gritty you're going to have to know how to code.
Webflow is great, but I still don't think it's where it needs to be in order to replace Wordpress or Shopify for that matter.

Ive struggled with making content about topics i dont know anything about to not look like a fool.
Homie right here talking about wordpress with a straight face like elementor, bricks and oxygen dont exist.

    What about seo in Webflow?

  • @ediau

Would you recommend Webflow for building a blog also? I'm asking this question because, in the start of the video, you recommended WordPress for bloggers. Would it be better if you recommend WordPress or Webflow based on the use case?

Interesting comparison! Maintenance cost, in terms of time and money, is also a criteria to take into account when hesitating between the two. A Webflow site 'takes care of itself' (in a way) while a WordPress site needs more attention to stay up and running...

This guy is totally wrong, or at least severely misleading, about the customization capabilities of Wordpress. With the right tools and skills, your site can be 100% custom design. He made no mention of the incredibly powerful page-builder theme/plugins, like Bricks, Oxygen, and others.

He's 100 perfect correct. You must not know how to code.

  • @roclaroc

Disagree with "WordPress" being locked in... This is a limitation of skill. There are plenty of ways to go beyond a themes limitations without coding.

in my oppinion HTML, and more prefferably React using JavaScript is better, it gives you a lot more customization than any other website builder would give you. It's also free :)

The downside is that it requires a lot more work and the client will not be able to edit some basic stuff himself.

Has anyone tried to use both for a project? I'm considering designing on Webflow and export the code to Wordpress for my clients. This way I can get the best of both world, I've yet to use Wordpress but I've heard it's better for things such as SEO and has a ton of useful features - also hosting is cheaper.

With word press is a lot more headache. Because you have to consider the huge amount of different plugins. You're going to have to add to your word press website In order for it to run smoothly and effectively which Also creates even more bigger headaches.

Clearly your a webflow fan and user 100 per your judgement of WordPress. Totally not true about saying you can’t ‘design down to the pixel’ as yes it takes so much of the heavy lifting of default paddings and margins of columns rows and widgets which is a great time saver but all can be easily overridden as well as all of the theme and plug-in imports etc

    Ta, very helpful: ).
One of my biggest concerns about WordPress is security, and upkeep- with all the integrations you need, you've got to be on top of updating all of them all the time. - that's a big ask when handing over to a client.

Hello Alex, I've been using your channel as an outlet to learn more about webflow and have been working on practice projects to refine my skills.. However I recently came to a road block... What options does Webflow have to integrating MLS Search or IDX? Is webflow any good for building out real estate websites? Could you please help me out. Thanks! Also, if you have any other social media- PLEASE LINK :D

You are wrong. I'm using WordPress with Elementor and I'm not “locked to the theme”. I design everything from scratch visually 😉

Webflow is not that steep of a learning curve. Learning web flow depends on the Ambition of the user. As far as word, press. If you want to create unlimited websites that you're going to have to eventually upgrade to their paid version. In word, press paid version. The only way you're going to get a domain name for freeze if you get a yearly package and that is very expensive.

No serious person uses ready made themes in Wordpress if they want to customize. There are plenty of good visual drang and drop page builders in Wordpress.
