First CAMPERVAN trip of the year at a HIDDEN GEM - UK Vanlife - adventures in wildlife

- Come with us as we shake off the winter blues and head out in the campervan for the first time this year.
We head to RSPB Rye Meads near Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire. @RSPBvideo A lovely peaceful spot despite being on the edge of a busy town. We keep our eyes peeled for Kingfishers and Otters, but we didn't expect a friendly muntjac to appear. Fun fact: we have had two muntjacs in our garden this week! The cats were a bit freaked out...
We then had our first sad moment of owning a campervan. We headed to a pub for lunch and we didn't fit in their wee car park :( Never mind as we then headed to the biggest garden centre we've ever seen. I know, rock and roll right? You must check out the Van Hage Garden Centre in Great Amwell as it's HUGE!! I bet it's brilliant at Christmas time! @vanhagegardencentre443
Added brilliant bonus is that it's home to the East Herts Miniature Railway. Obviously we had to have a ride! Best £1.50 of the week! Be aware, they're only open on weekends.

That was a peaceful video to watch so it must have been a peaceful day out! Nature reserves and generally getting out into the countryside on a crisp winter’s day is always rejuvenating. Wow! Van Hage has changed since we used to go there. It's where we first considered camping vehicles - trailer tents, tents and folding campers. Jenny would always say you're not having one of those. 😅
It's mad there! I remembered going there with my parents 30 odd years ago. I thought it was pretty swish then!!
