My 4 y/o daughter was seriously ill. She got the Rota virus. Her conditions worsened very fast. We took her to the hospital, they give her the needed treatments. She could not even speak or sit. She was so weak. A couple days later i saw her waving her hand to me and trying to stand up. My wife had a hard time as well, but at the end our daughter recovered and her immune system slapped out that bastard from her body. I love my family! This album and particularly this song helped me a LOT!
Years later and I'm only now appreciating the fact that starset has LORE. The band, the album and everything have lore based around the "Starset Society"and I love it.

The line between talent and technology has become so blurred ..... Startset redefines it in bold with broad width . They are by far my favorite. No auto tune here!
If anything, they sound like Breaking Benjamin in this album. I love Red, but the play styles from all band members are exponentially different. of Beauty and Rage is a fantastic album btw

You must not have listened to many (or any) rock bands then. While Starset is great, bands like Three Days Grace, 30 Seconds to Mars, Staind, Young Guns, Nine Lashes, Red, We As Human, 12 Stones, and Emphatic are all FAR better
Mars is great but Three Days Grace is the best in my opinion. I just want another album from 30STM like "A Beautiful Lie." Now that album was fantastic!
i imagine the music video about someone waiting and chasing for something they’ll never reach. in this case, they’re waiting for that person on the hospital bed to wake up. he travels through abstract places as the other person stands in the distance. no matter how fast he tries to approach them, he just can’t catch up. “this is war” he screams, as tears run out of his eyes. he’s running out of time. he has to catch them before it’s too late. but in the end, he gives up, kneels on a rocky field, and screams to the endless void. he stays there for a moment as his breaths heave in and out. finally regaining his composure, he stands up, continues running to the direction he was heading before, and as he runs to another “world” to chase the other person again, that’s when *Halo* starts.

This album changes the way I look at (or listen to) music entirely. Every single song feels so unique yet so good, every single chorus is a masterpiece, every instrument is perfectly chosen and played, every word sung has a deep meaning, man... epic
This is my interpretation of a storyline that the albums (especially Transmission) is trying to set, using the order the songs are given in: *Disclaimer. This is my version, and I am open to suggestions to any modification or other opinions. This is how I see it. I did not copy this, and as far as I am aware, am the original person to think of this theory. -TheGamerPokemon* *• 1st song, Down With The Fallen.* So, 2 people (The singer and a loved one, like a most beloved friend) got separated to 2 different corners of space by a mysterious circumstance. The first song (Down with the fallen) explains, now that he's lost everything he thought he cared about, he's down with all the people who have lost in life. ("Can you tell me how to feel?" - Numbness, "Can you tell me what is real?" - Derealisation). *• 2nd song, Halo:* So, he's now trying to search for the loved one, who he thinks is in trouble. ("Set off the signal, and I'll follow. Even if it means the death of me.") Suggesting he wants her to give him a signal, so he could find her. In the music video, it also shows her being taken by some people we don't know who are. *• 3rd song, Carnivore:* His feelings and past experiences are now catching up to him, trying to bring him down. ("Never enough, who I am is not good enough"), ("Carnivore, carnivore"). In the meantime, I think the "military police" is the people he fought past earlier in life, and may perhaps be the people who took separated them. *• 4th song, Telescope:* He's now scouting the skies, using a "Telescope" ("Where no one knows, I've watched you from, my Telescope"). He's trying to get to her, and rescue her, no matter where she is ("I will travel the distance in your eyes, interstellar light years from you"). *• 5th song, It Has Begun:* He's beginning to draft the plans of going out into space and finding her, which is complicated. ("A map to one man maze, that never sees the sun"), ('Where the lost, are the heroes, and the thieves are left to drown"). It ends up with him finding a signal and being able to hone into it. *• 6th song, My Demons:* His feelings of loneliness and emptiness and past memories are getting overwhelming ("Mayday mayday, the ship is slowly sinking"), ("They're all around me"). "Take me high and I'll sing" refers to him getting into space from the planet he's stranded on. *• 7th song, Antigravity:* He's finding it difficult to find a way to get to her, and a plan seems impossible. ("The more I dig into the dirt, to be fed up, to be let down"). But all of a sudden, he's found a way to perhaps escape the gravity holding him down. ("Then it falls away, into the great escape. Over walls, embrace, this antigravity taking over me"), ("The energy, to set me free, and pull me through the galaxy"). *• 8th song, Dark on me:* The signal he has been tracking and finding suddenly went away. It disappeared out of nowhere, like a dying star. ("Send a signal, to guide me home. Light the night up, you're my dark start, and now you're falling away"). He thinks she died, or went away, never to return. ("In the dead of night, you went dark on me."). He feels pain, sadness; and regret, as he couldn't find her in time. *•9th song, Let it die:* Turns out, there was a message that was transmitted from the point. The singer doesn't know if this was pre-recorded, or something just said. However, it was her voice, telling him to "let it die", not her, "it", the signal. ("But you told me, if you love me, let it die."). At first, he thinks it was pre-recorded ("I've been looking for a way to bring you back to life"), but then he found that perhaps she had to turn off the signal because the people who separated them was also tracking it. *•10th song, The Future Is Now:* He's initiating his plan to try and find her. ("As if there was no way, but they forgot the black hole in the sky"), ("flying into this future, I will let the science bring the change.") He discovered that the star dying + her final transmission could be used to pinpoint her location. ("With the full force of a dying star, I will find you, if you are near or far, wherever you are".). The "audio" video is also what appears to be some sort of wormhole or loop he's flying into. *• 11th song, Point of No Return:* This is it. He's in space, just after having left the planet he was stuck on. He looks back, and now he can never return. He's officially left the surface. ("This is the point of no return"). He kinda looks back at it, as a little safe haven, but he knows his destiny. ("There's something sinister, about the way it hurts, when I watch it burn. Because I can't go back."). He's also leaving behind the feelings of hopelessness, and the carnivores (of his past). *• 12th song, Rise and Fall:* He's again reflecting on his past, and comparing it to how he feels now. ("They push my back against the wall, but I attack and take it all.") How his life has risen and fallen. In his past, he was constantly brought down by everyone in his life (fall). Then he found a person who would always be there for him (rise). Then that got taken away by them the people (fall). Now he's back on his feet and ready to find her again (rise). This can compare to him on the planet, feeling hopeless, and "Down with the Fallen", to now, where he has risen over the surface and is gonna find her. The Vessel album is basically all about the journey towards her. Using a vessel to get there, and the long journey. (I've only listened to a few songs from Vessel, so please, I'm open to suggestions). I personally think "the signal" is some sort of Doppler shift, as after a few of the songs, they mention the Doppler effect. Especially after "It Has Begun", where it states: "Analysis of the Doppler shift as the satellite passes, will tell you exactly where you are on Earth. This fact forms the basis of many navigational satellite systems. This system is more accurate than any other navigation systems known today, accuracy that can establish a *pinpoint of latitude and longitude* ." Also, the first song in Vessel is "Satellite".
This is probably my favourite song from the band. Great feel and touching lyrics. I discovered these guys at a recent concert for my other favourite band Breaking Benjamin. The whole album of transmissions is top notch. 👍🏽
Literally perfect song for the Fallen within Destiny you’ll get it even more if you look into the lore. This hits too close to that! Incredible music, even could see this song used as a way to reflect what the Hero Guardian sees throughout his adventures. What he sees within the Fallen... 😌
I discovered STARSET last month when the colab with Breaking Benjamin was announced.. I dunno how I could have missed this band!? This is my preferred genre.. So I’ve had a chance to listen to “Transmissions” with fresh ears.. This band is criminally underrated 🤘🏼🤘🏼 I’ve gone out and bought all the albums, and look forward to seeing them in concert, when ever they come back to Canada.. 🤘🏼
try "perfect machine" by Starset. For me personally it's by far their top song, none of them come close to touching that work of art. But honestly they don't have a bad song. I'm jealous I can't listen to them for the first time again
That colab was my first time I heard them too, at almost the exact same time. I was nostalgic for BB in my playlist at work and that one suggested song found its way inside. Since then most of my top picks involve them; and despite hard rock and metal rock not being in my usual preferred genres at all, something about each song always brings me back

If anything, they sound like Breaking Benjamin in this album. I love Red, but the play styles from all band members are exponentially different. of Beauty and Rage is a fantastic album btw

Last time I talked to him (10/1/16) he said he had about 4 or 5 songs being worked on.... You usually cut down from about 100 songs to make an album......

I saw these guys last night in concert. It was incredible and if you have the chance to go to one of their demonstrations, I highly recommend doing so.

Hahaa same here, I'm more of electro rave, dubstep kind of person. Rock never took my interest until starset came along.
You must not have listened to many (or any) rock bands then. While Starset is great, bands like Three Days Grace, 30 Seconds to Mars, Staind, Young Guns, Nine Lashes, Red, We As Human, 12 Stones, and Emphatic are all FAR better

i imagine the music video about someone waiting and chasing for something they’ll never reach. in this case, they’re waiting for that person on the hospital bed to wake up.
he travels through abstract places as the other person stands in the distance. no matter how fast he tries to approach them, he just can’t catch up.
“this is war” he screams, as tears run out of his eyes. he’s running out of time. he has to catch them before it’s too late.
but in the end, he gives up, kneels on a rocky field, and screams to the endless void.
he stays there for a moment as his breaths heave in and out.
finally regaining his composure, he stands up, continues running to the direction he was heading before, and as he runs to another “world” to chase the other person again, that’s when *Halo* starts.

3:55 they said "trying to fly away from earth" more specifically "trying". Therefore suggesting that they are not just speaking about a satellite and are in fact speaking of a human. Thus bringing me to believe they are not all about messages from space but in fact something much larger than space. Us.
Think on that.
Now listen to the rest of their songs in that mindset and they become ten times better. Or maybe I'm to quick to jump to conclusions.
Mail Box Listening to their songs after watching all their music videos, all the Starset Society videos, and reading the Starset Society website all become so much better honestly. It gets you thinking and it makes you appreciate each lyric more.

Besides "My Demons" this song is my favorite on the album! Such a solid album altogether! I've listened to this whole album several times already! So worth preordering! Such a solid band! And I'm already looking forward to the new album! :D

This album changes the way I look at (or listen to) music entirely. Every single song feels so unique yet so good, every single chorus is a masterpiece, every instrument is perfectly chosen and played, every word sung has a deep meaning, man... epic
This is my interpretation of a storyline that the albums (especially Transmission) is trying to set, using the order the songs are given in:
*Disclaimer. This is my version, and I am open to suggestions to any modification or other opinions. This is how I see it. I did not copy this, and as far as I am aware, am the original person to think of this theory. -TheGamerPokemon*
*• 1st song, Down With The Fallen.* So, 2 people (The singer and a loved one, like a most beloved friend) got separated to 2 different corners of space by a mysterious circumstance. The first song (Down with the fallen) explains, now that he's lost everything he thought he cared about, he's down with all the people who have lost in life. ("Can you tell me how to feel?" - Numbness, "Can you tell me what is real?" - Derealisation).
*• 2nd song, Halo:* So, he's now trying to search for the loved one, who he thinks is in trouble. ("Set off the signal, and I'll follow. Even if it means the death of me.") Suggesting he wants her to give him a signal, so he could find her. In the music video, it also shows her being taken by some people we don't know who are.
*• 3rd song, Carnivore:* His feelings and past experiences are now catching up to him, trying to bring him down. ("Never enough, who I am is not good enough"), ("Carnivore, carnivore"). In the meantime, I think the "military police" is the people he fought past earlier in life, and may perhaps be the people who took separated them.
*• 4th song, Telescope:* He's now scouting the skies, using a "Telescope" ("Where no one knows, I've watched you from, my Telescope"). He's trying to get to her, and rescue her, no matter where she is ("I will travel the distance in your eyes, interstellar light years from you").
*• 5th song, It Has Begun:* He's beginning to draft the plans of going out into space and finding her, which is complicated. ("A map to one man maze, that never sees the sun"), ('Where the lost, are the heroes, and the thieves are left to drown"). It ends up with him finding a signal and being able to hone into it.
*• 6th song, My Demons:* His feelings of loneliness and emptiness and past memories are getting overwhelming ("Mayday mayday, the ship is slowly sinking"), ("They're all around me"). "Take me high and I'll sing" refers to him getting into space from the planet he's stranded on.
*• 7th song, Antigravity:* He's finding it difficult to find a way to get to her, and a plan seems impossible. ("The more I dig into the dirt, to be fed up, to be let down"). But all of a sudden, he's found a way to perhaps escape the gravity holding him down. ("Then it falls away, into the great escape. Over walls, embrace, this antigravity taking over me"), ("The energy, to set me free, and pull me through the galaxy").
*• 8th song, Dark on me:* The signal he has been tracking and finding suddenly went away. It disappeared out of nowhere, like a dying star. ("Send a signal, to guide me home. Light the night up, you're my dark start, and now you're falling away"). He thinks she died, or went away, never to return. ("In the dead of night, you went dark on me."). He feels pain, sadness; and regret, as he couldn't find her in time.
*•9th song, Let it die:* Turns out, there was a message that was transmitted from the point. The singer doesn't know if this was pre-recorded, or something just said. However, it was her voice, telling him to "let it die", not her, "it", the signal. ("But you told me, if you love me, let it die."). At first, he thinks it was pre-recorded ("I've been looking for a way to bring you back to life"), but then he found that perhaps she had to turn off the signal because the people who separated them was also tracking it.
*•10th song, The Future Is Now:* He's initiating his plan to try and find her. ("As if there was no way, but they forgot the black hole in the sky"), ("flying into this future, I will let the science bring the change.") He discovered that the star dying + her final transmission could be used to pinpoint her location. ("With the full force of a dying star, I will find you, if you are near or far, wherever you are".). The "audio" video is also what appears to be some sort of wormhole or loop he's flying into.
*• 11th song, Point of No Return:* This is it. He's in space, just after having left the planet he was stuck on. He looks back, and now he can never return. He's officially left the surface. ("This is the point of no return"). He kinda looks back at it, as a little safe haven, but he knows his destiny. ("There's something sinister, about the way it hurts, when I watch it burn. Because I can't go back."). He's also leaving behind the feelings of hopelessness, and the carnivores (of his past).
*• 12th song, Rise and Fall:* He's again reflecting on his past, and comparing it to how he feels now. ("They push my back against the wall, but I attack and take it all.") How his life has risen and fallen. In his past, he was constantly brought down by everyone in his life (fall). Then he found a person who would always be there for him (rise). Then that got taken away by them the people (fall). Now he's back on his feet and ready to find her again (rise). This can compare to him on the planet, feeling hopeless, and "Down with the Fallen", to now, where he has risen over the surface and is gonna find her.
The Vessel album is basically all about the journey towards her. Using a vessel to get there, and the long journey. (I've only listened to a few songs from Vessel, so please, I'm open to suggestions).
I personally think "the signal" is some sort of Doppler shift, as after a few of the songs, they mention the Doppler effect. Especially after "It Has Begun", where it states: "Analysis of the Doppler shift as the satellite passes, will tell you exactly where you are on Earth. This fact forms the basis of many navigational satellite systems. This system is more accurate than any other navigation systems known today, accuracy that can establish a *pinpoint of latitude and longitude* ." Also, the first song in Vessel is "Satellite".

This is probably my favourite song from the band. Great feel and touching lyrics. I discovered these guys at a recent concert for my other favourite band Breaking Benjamin. The whole album of transmissions is top notch. 👍🏽

try "perfect machine" by Starset. For me personally it's by far their top song, none of them come close to touching that work of art. But honestly they don't have a bad song. I'm jealous I can't listen to them for the first time again
That colab was my first time I heard them too, at almost the exact same time. I was nostalgic for BB in my playlist at work and that one suggested song found its way inside. Since then most of my top picks involve them; and despite hard rock and metal rock not being in my usual preferred genres at all, something about each song always brings me back
I still remember....the day I bought this album from Hastings....and came home to listen to it for the first time....this opening song gave me literal goosebumps (I thought it was that good)

Seems like all their songs are so emotional but they still make it worth while to listen too, really great band, wish they played on the radio sometimes.
