Spring break has been extended, school has been cancelled. Sorry you didn't get the message. Now back to the shed so us mere mortals can watch in admiration. Awesome job young man.

Dude, I loved your work. Both for car and your video. Too much time spent here. Fascinating.
Nice welding man. Stuff like this might always seem like a set back but the ability to take the time to make those revisions is probably the greatest quality of a real builder.
Good thing is your seem to know exactly what your doing and where your going with the project. Meanwhile I'm just standing here staring at my 39 Buick with a mental block
Your lucky mine used to make the decisions give the orders, this was great when he was right and a war when he wasn't, though according to him he was right even when he was wrong. LOL, he taught me a lot when I would listen.
Almost got worried we´d have to wait another three months for an update. Great to see you not being afraid to hack it apart and change things, too- those sort of things would bug you for a lifetime if you dont invest the time now.
Bummer about the crossmember, it was so nice,. Kind of how I pictured I would have done it (when you made the first one). Hope you can keep a similar design with the new one. Great work!
I have just subbed to this channel and find it interesting and the talent this young guy has is something else. Those interested in this maybe be interested in a couple of other builders I follow here in the UK. Check them out. I will be recommending this guy on their sites. 1. Is URCHFAB another take on a car build where he has taken an old 1950's UK Ford pop and mates it to a Mazda MX5. 2. The other ON YER BIKE is a guy Craig who builds bikes, usually, Bobbers using Royal Enfields from India but has used Brit bikes and has Paul and Blue to keep him back. You may need subtitles for both. You need to take into consideration building specials is so much more expensive here in the UK i.e. cost of donors and tools and disposable incomes generally lower.
I'm amazed at your skill. "Hmm...I think I'd like this cab to be six inches wider" .....BOOM! Six inches wider. "Hmm....maybe that front's just a bit too fat".....BOOM! Four inches narrower in front. You've taken out better stuff than most humans on earth could ever make if you gave us a lifetime. LOL So cool.
It’s too bad you have to take 2 steps back to get moving forward but having the frame fitting the buck now is progress in the right direction. You’re going to have a great summer.
I like watching your channel grow! Nice job on the frame. It was sad seeing you chop that cross member that you put in. Work down the drain but you have to do what makes you happy.
You know Sir that the Indianapolis 500 is coming in May. Do you think that you could make a parade lap in that new car?? LOL. That would be nice though. Was going to ask when are you going to put the aluminum on the body. But I know you would say "stay tuned" LOL. Great build as always. Take car man.
Very nice work. I thought that you were using awfully heavy material when you made the cross member in a previous vid. I probably would have too! It takes patience to correct that sort of thing rather than just leave it as is, but it will be worth it in the end. Thanks for sharing.
A lot of work, as you said, but it does look better proportioned now. Curious as to why you Tig, rather than Mig? watching with interest here in Ireland
what a pleasant surprise to sit down at the computer with a cup of coffee during a break and see this video 17 minutes after you uploaded. So, what brought about this epiphany? Has it been on the back of your mind maybe?
I´m guessing its to prevent cracking for when the metal expands and contracts. Its a very important weld afterall that you dont want failing at any point. So he heats up the piece to bring it to temprature, welds it, and while the weld cools down the entire assembly cools down at more or less the same rate, staying together.
You got to get yourself a sawzall or plasma cutter. Lol. Was it that cold that you had to preheat the front crossmember before you Tig welded it ? Keep on Truckin with this. It's really enjoyable to watch.
a while back i seen a lot of design drawings for 40's racecars on pinterest , and found a good video on youtube about schrinking and stretching metal tried to find youre channel to put the links on but couldnt remember wish channel it was , i now lost the link to the pinterest page and the youtube vid unfortunately about preheating the metal before welding : i wonder if the paintstripper is efficient enough in the short time youre using it to heat that large piece of the frame , when i worked at a company where they did a lot of welding the had some contact heaters they clamped ontoo the metal to heat it up , think sumting like that would work better in youre case too
typical ongoing project - always changing and feels like you do stuff more than once! that's OK.. change it until you love it. BTW - ever considered quarter elliptical rear suspension?
So it's back to school , what are you studying , ( don't say auto shop ) ,can't wait to watch you skin this car , watched all your videos nice work , now hurry up other wise I have to watch stupid tv shows !
As seen here, a lot of re--thinking time was spent on some sort of seat or the other. and the decision was made that the build wasn't exactly what was envisioned.. A note to all artist, don't be afraid to throw out the bad wine and start anew if that's what it takes.to get it right. JD
Great stuff! I like you're Videos very much, but one thing that keeps annoying me is the sound while time lapse. The problem is that the sound is often faster or slower than the actual footage. Would you consider changing that problem in the future?
Dude you should be keeping uploading more often so i don't need to wait like I have to do when a popular series uploading each weeks a new episode, because this is really exiting to watch on ^^

i agree. it's annoying to redo things, but it's worth it to do it right
Good thing is your seem to know exactly what your doing and where your going with the project. Meanwhile I'm just standing here staring at my 39 Buick with a mental block
I can't work with my dad in the garage. He's always asking to many questions 🤣 Great work man!!
Your lucky mine used to make the decisions give the orders, this was great when he was right and a war when he wasn't, though according to him he was right even when he was wrong. LOL, he taught me a lot when I would listen.

Looks much better, you’ll always be glad you changed it. 💯percent 👍
Awesome job. It reminds me of the 1932-35 ALFA Romeo P3 race cars. They had inline twin supercharged straight eights
Bummer about the crossmember, it was so nice,. Kind of how I pictured I would have done it (when you made the first one). Hope you can keep a similar design with the new one. Great work!

Wow I found ya channel long time ago when I seen ya home made tank. Dude love the vids
It’s too bad you have to take 2 steps back to get moving forward but having the frame fitting the buck now is progress in the right direction.
You’re going to have a great summer.
Great job. Looks awesome. Cant wait till u start the aluminum 👍😀🇺🇸
Such a fun project to watch unfold.
If I should get tasked to change the tilt of the earth's axis, I want this guy on my team.
... and his dad.
This project is coming along real Nice !!!
I like watching your channel grow! Nice job on the frame. It was sad seeing you chop that cross member that you put in. Work down the drain but you have to do what makes you happy.
Great video! I hope college goes well for you, best of luck! See you in the summer.
You're obviously a very talented young man and I enjoy watching your videos. But please wear a dust mask when you are grinding :)
great work. I wish you the best of luck on the body work. That will take awhile for you.
Awesome project well done dude
It's interesting to see how from the first idea the chassis was changing a lot over time
You know Sir that the Indianapolis 500 is coming in May. Do you think that you could make a parade lap in that new car?? LOL. That would be nice though. tig welding gives a much nicer finish, and is a lot cleaner than mig
Congratulations on 50k subscribers
thanks!
Is there any newer videos. I started watching these. It all ended a year ago ? Did the car ever get built?
its finally taking shape!
what a pleasant surprise to sit down at the computer with a cup of coffee during a break and see this video 17 minutes after you uploaded. So, what brought about this epiphany? Has it been on the back of your mind maybe?
Can't wait man its turning out amazing good job
Dude, you unbucked your ride!😎
Just curious about the "heat gun" associated with the TIG welds? I could guess, but I'd rather hear why. Looking awesome though, Thanks for sharing.

So he heats up the piece to bring it to temprature, welds it, and while the weld cools down the entire assembly cools down at more or less the same rate, staying together.
I was outside and it was like 30 degrees, so I was worried about cracking if it cooled too fast
Great viedo are still going to have enough room for the flat head or are you going to make bump outs in the body for it this build is looking great
This may be a stupid question but when you use the heat gun after each weld, is that related to tempering the metal?
It was really cold outside where I was welding, so I preheated it to try to stop any cracks from forming
@@MacroMachines Ah thank you. Never come across that before - most likely because it doesn't get cold enough to need it around here
You got to get yourself a sawzall or plasma cutter. Lol.
Was it that cold that you had to preheat the front crossmember before you Tig welded it ?
Keep on Truckin with this. It's really enjoyable to watch.
yeah it was in the 30s outside, so I was worried about cracking
Ahaha it's warmer here in Alaska
Hi, What is the purpose of heating the steel before TIG welding ? Does it make the weld flow better?
It was about 30 degrees outside, so I was worried about the weld cracking if it cooled too fast
looking good
Can't wait to see you shape the body. Do you already possess the metal shaping skills? I know aluminum is a whole different animal than metal.
not at all lol
a while back i seen a lot of design drawings for 40's racecars on pinterest , and found a good video on youtube about schrinking and stretching metal
tried to find youre channel to put the links on but couldnt remember wish channel it was , i now lost the link to the pinterest page and the youtube vid unfortunately
about preheating the metal before welding : i wonder if the paintstripper is efficient enough in the short time youre using it to heat that large piece of the frame , when i worked at a company where they did a lot of welding the had some contact heaters they clamped ontoo the metal to heat it up , think sumting like that would work better in youre case too
First you widen and lengthen the frame, now you're narrowing it?!?
New spring perches on the front axle again?
typical ongoing project - always changing and feels like you do stuff more than once! that's OK.. change it until you love it. BTW - ever considered quarter elliptical rear suspension?
why you heat the steel before soldering it ???
Great project man! I've subscribed to your channel 🖒
Good job
What was the final width of that front crossmember?
So it's back to school , what are you studying , ( don't say auto shop ) ,can't wait to watch you skin this car , watched all your videos nice work , now hurry up other wise I have to watch stupid tv shows !
I have flathead parts. How do I contact you?
As seen here, a lot of re--thinking time was spent on some sort of seat or the other. and the decision was made that the build wasn't exactly what was envisioned.. A note to all artist, don't be afraid to throw out the bad wine and start anew if that's what it takes.to get it right. JD
Good job, that would have bothered you forever right!
Great stuff! I like you're Videos very much, but one thing that keeps annoying me is the sound while time lapse. The problem is that the sound is often faster or slower than the actual footage. Would you consider changing that problem in the future?
the reason is because some parts of the video are filmed in time lapse which doesn't record audio, so I paste in audio that's similar
Dude you should be keeping uploading more often so i don't need to wait like I have to do when a popular series uploading each weeks a new episode, because this is really exiting to watch on ^^
get a harbor freight sawzall, they're pretty cheap. Cool build!
I have one, but it's not the best for any cut that has to be accurate
@@MacroMachines Agreed, sawzalls are +- 3" on their cuts, especially the ones with the quick change chucks. Talk about blade wobble!!! hehe
Well worth doing a lot off work 🇬🇧
this is cool!!!!!!
"Measure twice: Cut once"
That heavy metal music / NOISE is more offensive than all the commercials TH-cam adds.
wow this project will done when I will be 300 yers old
build a little maus lol
